After, we'd stop in a Li Po for a shot of Unga Pei and a good buzz to face the biting chill of the late night wind and fog.

Universal cafe is now closed due to many infraction by the health department. Sam Wo's has faced the same since it can't keep up with the codes in that building. The dumb waiter use to be kept grease by all the cooking oil in the place. Broadway street and the go go's are nearly all gone and thankfully so!

Chinatown is still there but there are so many of us through the years we have moved out to the Richmond and now the Sunset is the largest poplution of Asians in S. F. Taravel, Noriega, Judah. Just home three weeks ago I was eating at the USA Cafe and talking to a guy that has lived there for 10 years and growing up in the neighborhood told him all the places that are gone now.

Going south they are going to be on your right side. So when you're on Thanon Lat Krabang and turn south go about 2 or 3 K south. You'll see Miracles first it is the most visible, then you'll see the other right across the soi from it on the same soi

When I'm out and about I never look at street markers, I'm from the south, we go by landmarks! BTW the little noodle shop at the front of the Soi sometimes has FL talent to be had, In fact I'd probably do the chick that runs it. She's seen her better days, however so have I.

Great forum and lots going on in the BKK subsection. I am a newbie looking to get out to Thailand finally and I was under the impression that there used to be a sticky of sorts containing all kinds of relevant newbie infos, (the usual, such as gf hotels, areas to go and avoid, dos and donts as well as some indication on pricing).

I went through the 10 pages of posts in the BKK subsection (as this where I'll be heading) and picked up some valuable info. Can someone direct me to wherever the stickies have gone (it was Giotto's forum or some such thing). Again, apologies for asking, but as much as I like reading first hand accounts, it does not really help me with my research to hit the ground running.
