You will see grey minibuses with guys managing the cues ask to one of these guys "minibus to patong".

They will charge you 150 bahts and the minibus will drop you close to your hotel.

(you will stop to an office on the way to patong where they will ask you the name of your hotel, a kind of travel agency, if you have any they will try to do some business, but you have an hotel so no problem).

The trajet is around 60 minutes.

The center of Patong is "Bang-La road"

Thanks.[/QUOTE]Taxi from the airport is easy, just walk outside to the public taxi booth (do not go with the guys inside trying to sell you limousine services). Fees is fixed and high for Thailand (as all transportation is ridiculously expensive on Phuket) but not ridiculous like the tuk tuks in Patong. First thing I would do when arriving on Phuket is to rent a motorbike.

Last time I was there was 2004 but what I remember is when you exit the airport there are vans waiting and a tout will try and load you onto a van where you will be riding with several other passengers and I think it was 400 baht.

But if you look beyond the airport carpark area there should be a few meter taxis waiting for a fare. They charged me meter plus 100 baht airport fee which was right around 300 baht.

The driver did stop off at a travel agency which was slightly annoying, the lady just approached the car and asked me if I'd already booked a hotel, I lied and said yes and we took off.

So you can save 100 baht and not have to share a ride with a bunch of people and possibly be the last one dropped off.

When you leave the airport (so that you are outside) turn right and you will see the meter taxi hut.

I have always used the meter taxi never had any problems paid no more than 500bht from airport to Patong.

As mentioned the tuk tuks in Patong are very expensive.

Generally the bike rental list price is 200 bahts / day.

But it's rather easy to cut the price to 150 bahts if the rental is for few days (like 4 or 5 days or one week)

But do you have a better rate? And which shop?

I am travelling as part of a group, who have set their minds on staying in Phuket but not in Patong itself as they want to be in one of the 4* resorts with a clean beach. Of course my priorities are very different. Is the Sheraton Laguna or any of those resorts guest friendly? Also would BG from Patong be willing to travel 30 mins away, would I have to pay extra for her to drive back to Patong?

Any advice on which hotel to stay in would be appreciated.

Was in Phuket late August, early September, and gave Christins Massage another chance. Although pricing is quite high (2400 bht from memory??), there was a fair amount of talent to choose from.

I chose number 22, a young, gorgeous 21yo Thai girl with an awesome body. The session starts with a warm bath, where you are cleaned thoroughly from head to toe. This is followed by a "soapy massage", another bath to wash off the soap, then down to the action!!

Without going into all the details, everything (except anal), is offered in the service. Covered BJ, full access DATY with a little butt fingering, then sex in many positions. After showering again, she offered a "2nd pop", which I stupidly rejected!!

For the cost of getting over to Karon and back, and the quality service I received from Christins, I think I will stick to Patong next time.

We had some time in Bangkok on the way home, giving me time to test out Nataree. Everything I read about this place was true. It was overflowing with stunning young girls, and although expensive (2600bht + 300bht tip), was worth every cent. So good, I went back for a second time. If in Bangkok, Nataree is definately worth a visit.

My advice would be to rent a bike (125 cc is around 150 200 baht/day) then you will be very free to shop a girl or around hotel or in kamala or in patong and bring back her. You can also take a small hotel in patong (for example boomerang, 600/room, GF with swimmingpool). The best is to send a mail to Sheraton Laguna and ask, they will reply to you then you will print it and you will be in position to bring back a little girl to your room. The season is low and the hotel are very flexible these days.

The Mariott. Do not know but just send them an email or call them and ask if they charge joiners fees. Simple question and do not be ashamed because prositution is all over the place around there.

The Sheraton Laguna. Might be a good hotel but is an awful end away (especially at night). Girls will either be scared. Do not want to go with you or you will have to pay them a hefty extra sum if they do.

Better look for something in Karon or Kata if you do not want to stay in Patong itself.
