Watched for about two minutes. The premise is all wrong: if someone thinks that he is going to elevate a woman to a life of virtue and hence decides to send money, the person is either a die hard romantic or an idiot. If you realize you cannot save anyone or have rosy future expectations (least of all, of exclusivity), you are fine. Indeed in that case, you decide whether to, who to, when to, how many to and so forth. I have a feeling that people dread solitude so much that at a certain age, they get desperate and try to save. Ah well!
I agree. I do not find Cuba Dave to be very credible at all. He says he has received hundreds of e-mails asking him if guys should send money to chicas to keep them off the street. Really? Hundreds of e-mails?
Then, although his Spanish is apparently very limited to non existent, he is able to quote in detail from conversations that must have taken place in Spanish.
It would be more credible if he could give a specific example of a woman he knows who is getting $2000 per month on Western Union and still tricking in D'Latino's (no need to mention names). I am sure it is entirely possible, but the examples he give typically lack detail and it is by no means clear that he has spoken to the people concerned.
I agree 100% that it would be stupid to offer to send money to a girl in the hope that it would keep her off the street and save her from prostitution if she was that way inclined.
On the other hand there might be specific reasons to send money to someone with whom one had an ongoing relationship. Men around Sosua vary from occasional weekend warriors to part-time residents, to full time residents, and at some point many guys get tired of tricking in bars and develop some kind of ongoing domestic or semi domestic relationship with someone they like.
I bet his perspective would change if he found out that she stole his $90 bottle of cologne to give to her Dominican boyfriend.
No doubt, but I think this time he was just pissed about how much he paid for that cologne. The toothpaste wasnt important nor did it cost him much.
I have repeated with someone I know is a thief on my home turf in Tijuana but with extreme caution (button down the hatches with your belongings). The reason I repeated is because the sex was off the charts with them.
And thats the most likely reason.
Because guys don't think with their "big" head. If you tell your buddy that this smoking hot chica just stole $100 from your safe a few days ago (because you forgot to lock it while in the shower) , your buddy may be thinking one of two things:
-"Well, she didn't steal from ME"
-"He's just trying to keep her for himself"
Lmao!
Sometimes when some guys get older they just arent as sharp as they once was. I wasnt there with every chica he had. There is no telling what kind of mistakes he was making. Things he said to them and things he did around them.

A month sounds like a stretch I personally have met three different girls who had more than one WU novios, all three still "worked".
One of them showed me her bank statement with over a million pesos in it, if I have a picture of her I'll post it, she has worked at both BB's, FOD and god knows where else, I guarantee some guys will recognize her, her name is Jackeline, she spells it different than that I think. She has four WU idiots sending her money. She told me she banks the WU money and lives off of the "working" money. She is a real sweetheart, speaks perfect english with huge natural breasts.
I met a former BB's employee in Azua whose Canadian novio bought her a beautiful house, a nightclub and a brand new SUV, he visits one week out of every month and she isn't that hot.
Foreigners sending money to girls on a monthly basis is rampant, I could go on forever with other examples of known girls that receive WU payments.
I'm not a big fan of CubaDave but that video should be mandatory reading in monger 101 class.
"All potential thieves"? I did not know it was geography specific. I was just speaking with my niece whose galaxy was stolen (or lost and never found. To use an euphemism) at her public school in the South East where she is a sophomore. My son is a freshman in a private school where they give ipads to use for school work and you see such things strewn across school.
I didn't say it never happened elsewhere but the fact of the matter is that petty theft is much more prevalent in a poor country Tempoecorto, you know that as well as anybody.
I don't remember seeing so many Chica's with big butts here! And to top that off, they seem to be doing a brisk business. I am amazed at how many guys are going with these girls. One skinny guy I saw who was about six foot tall went with a girl that's ass had to of been at least three feet wide. In Colombia a lot of the Chicas have boob jobs but here I guess a lot of the Chica's pig out as there obviously is a market for big booty's.
Surfer my man there are a lot of butt injections going on in the area. I first notice it in the Santo Domingo casas. I later became a victim of one in Sosua. You really can't blame them. They are selling their bodies and the sexies body gets the most business. I'm sure Eve double her business when she added to fake boobs in hair extensions. The girl that fooled me was pretty, young, slim, had a fat gorgeous clean shaven snach, but it was her Nicki Minajing chemical enhance fat ass that got her the 1500 peso deal. You are witnessing the calm before the storm

Apparently there ARE some guys that think "he is going to elevate a woman to a life of virtue and hence decides to send money". If you have hung around ISG for any length of time you can't help but come across some of these (horror) stories (like the guy who married a well-known pro (Daniela) and had his wedding in Classicos).
Your assessment of the video is not in alignment with the (overwhelmingly positive) comments left by guys who have watched the video.
Pah, and you fell for all this? Chica is 32, so already past sell date and desperate with menopause approaching, if she is actually telling you her real age. So does she have a real job and a real source of revenue to live independently and support her child?
Clearly she expected you to take her to a cabana, of which there are numerous in Santiago, for example on the carretera on the way to the airport (and LaVega) for 300 pesos and up, and you must have passed them on the way to LaVega. She started the kissy stuff because you were too slow and the clock was running.
Of course she knew how to get back to LaVega. You could have dropped her at the Caribe Tours bus station, or she could have asked anyone where the parada for publico taxis to LaVega is, if she really did not know, which I severely doubt.
Of course she can cook. They can all cook if that includes putting everything in an aluminum caldero, adding that red universal seasoning, and burning the hell out of it and using about 3x as much cooking gas as necessary.
I was talking to a chica the other day who wants to go to the US. I said the quality of life is much better in the DR, but she said even if you have a job a single parent cannot make enough to live on, so you need one or two novios to provide extra benefits (Galaxy phones, or long hair pieces, or medicines). The men get the friendship and the Dominican women get the benefits.
She is just trying to play the long game with you. Let us know what happens. (And how come your Spanish is suddenly so limited? You had no trouble with in depth discussions with chicas before.)
You are not off base, this chica is definitely a candidate for playing the long game with any dude she may meet. However what she wants for the long haul don't mean jack if I'm not supporting her plan. Don't you think thats an important part of the puzzle? Whatever I did with this chica so far, was nothing. Cost me gas, time, an appetizer and 2 drinks. So whatever I supposedly fell for is definitely in your brain, not in mine. I only think in one head.
My answer to the first part of the question is that they are idiots, nobody I know would do that. And they're ALL potential thieves in a third world country.
So I guess your question of the dude I was talking about was rhetorical? I don't think a person has to be an idiot for that to happen. It's called making a mistake. Even an intelligent person can make an idiotic mistake.
Driving her to La Vega was a nice gesture. Next time, should you need, ask for "La parada de Treinta de Marzo". The bus stop at 30 de Marzo, which is about a 5-minute drive from el monumento towards the west. You can google the map obviously. There are two buses for La Vega that have their terminus there. La Uchomvesa and Expres Vegano, other than many other guaguas from other towns as well.
Hopefully there won't be a next time, but I'll try to store this info. This particular chica knew where to catch the bus, but couldn't tell how to get there from where we were at. Rather than ask for directions (which I was free to do) , I elected to drive her. Caught her by surprise.

One doesn't even have to believe Cubadave knows the players he's talking about, or if he received emails from dudes asking for feedback. The idea is just to understand the pertinent issues being addressed in the videos. Now if somebody has a more in depth account of the issue, so be it. It aint that serious.
(And how come your Spanish is suddenly so limited? Let me pick your brain. Give me your specific account of my spanish abilities with other chicas? Then your account of my communication with the La Vega chica? Once your done, then we'll see which one of us may be the one with limitations when it comes to reading comprehension of what others post.

Apparently there ARE some guys that think "he is going to elevate a woman to a life of virtue and hence decides to send money".
I am not saying such people do not exist, I said the premise for sending money is wrong, that of having expectatiions. As I stated clearly, some are born romantics, idiots or so afraid of loneliness, they would try anything and so hundred hours of domenican dave's video lecture would not do any good or a friend's advice for that matter. History does not teach anything, especially others'.
