2006 Bangkok Reports

No such bad experience for me: I paid a visit yesterday, and on the opposite I found it very civilized atmosphere: I sat where I wanted, asked for a nice Pina Colada, long-legged lady approached me without being intrusive, we had a long and pleasant chat, the gogo-girls made an impressive dance. I did not pick up the girl because I was tired, but I am sure I'll give a chance. So I guess it really depends on the day. As for the "attractive but not attractive enough", strange that we are so easily obsessed by the little details: feet a little bit big, rough hands (those poor girls wash their clothe without laundry machine). But I found the look, clothes, attitude and English are far superior here to some of the poor country-side ugly cows in the beer bars. I however agree that all the girls sit at the bar, leaving little space for us to sit there. I suggest a computerized seat allocation system like they have in the airlines industry.

I noticed below that someone had been unimpressed with the Nana carpark - for good reason of late unfortunately. The police have been harrassing the girls and arresting a few of them -the other night they filled up three cars with them and hauled them away. The girls have to pay 1,000 baht fine but also I assume get their name on some official record. This has freightened most of them away and the place has been near deserted on some nights until the 2am witching hour. Some still hang out around Nana Plaza, others have moved to Sukhumvit - a few have gone into the gogo buisness. One friend Ploy managed 1/2 a night as a gogo dancer before she pulled a muscle and decided this wasn't for her. Not sure what is causing this - maybe a lead up to the King's birthday which took place yesterday or maybe just a general crackdown on some of the more visible aspects of this trade.

There was also apparently a death at the Nana Hotel two nights ago - an Australian from a drug overdose - he was in his fifties - room 425 I was told. Not that I discovered this from the staff but was out for dinner with an old friend and her sister and friend - and the sister and friend had been playing pool with the guy earlier in the evening. What was so funny was how scared they all were of going back to the Nana because his ghost would still be hanging about for another day or so according to custom. Its amazing how much they all seem to believe in ghosts - my friend won't stay by herself in a strange room for fear of them - and she has a friend who I met and who seems quite sane who swears she was molested by one - a farang ghost nonethless who died in the apartment above hers. She ended up moving out.

Also - for the fellow who was looking for a great bbbj and swallow - if you can find Nam and her friend A in the Nana car park give them a try - both are fairly cute - 19 and 21 - no babies - and extremely giving and work quite well together.

As you complete a few trips you realize that nothing can be planned exactly ..... each trip comes up differently than expected. My latest trip is a prime example.

This is the first part of a mainly business trip that will encompass stints in BKK, Jakarta, Medan, KL, Penang, Singapore as well as virgin trips to AC and China. All in all nearly three months in wonderful Asia.

I flew Thai Airways first class to BKK my last trip to the old Bangkok airport. The first unplanned event happened 30 minutes before I was due to be picked up. I got a call from work saying there was a coup happening in BKK and there were tanks on the streets and martial law imposed. Not being one to put off a trip so longed for and despite advice from all around I continued as normal. The flight was great, I find Thai first to be very good, so apart from eating and drinking I slept all the way. The airport was extremely quiet and from touch down to hotel room was only 50 minutes. The ride in the Sheratons Merc, was the fastest I have ever done! As usual I checked-in, in the car, the whole process is easy and my suite at the Sheraton was as usual fantastic, as was the welcome and service.

The second thing that did not go to plan was soon to take place. I had met a couple via AFF (lets call the girl “F” who had flown to BKK to meet up and share a week of playing with each other and others. The first night was well planned with a rather sexy scenario awaiting, but disappointingly this could not take place as she had her period, I was disappointed she was gutted.

We went to a place near CM2 and arrived just after 3am. The place was really buzzing and soon I was dancing with two of the girls lets call them Jaylo (JL) and business girl (BG) for reasons you will find out. The other we will call quiet girl (QG) as she was less outgoing. We had a great time for a couple of hours, the girls really could dance, but by now I decided it was time for action. I would have liked to try all three but taxied off the quiet one.

I countered by saying I did not meet them in there and would never pay that sort of money and again said if they wanted that they had better go. BG talked to JL and they reply was to pay what I thought was reasonable. I said ok and would sort things out after the session.

From check in to lounge is less than 100 meters, you check in walk a few seconds, pay your tax, walk a few more seconds, immigration, then a few more and you are in a huge business lounge. The bonus is when u go to your gate the walking distance is tiny, very well organized.

ADDITION

I forgot to report on one day of my trip so I will fill in here. I had spent the day out with my AFF friends, met up with JL and BG and sessioned with them both, but sent them away as I wanted an earlyish night. That is strange.
3 months back it was mainly just LBs and illegal immigrants that the police were after. Perhaps many of the girls have no valid Id or have the police really branched out to picking on honest girls just trying to make a few bucks?.

I have just returned to the USA. I flew from Phuket- Bangkok-London- Miami. I thought it would be brutal. I have done it before however; I never look forward to the trip back to South Florida. I spent one night in BKK and hit a place called Boss. It is an after hours place full of hotties. CM2 and Hard Rock I would say have over 90% working girls. Qbar would be over 75%. There doesn't seem to be too many girls working at Bed Club and mostly a mix of European and Thai clientele. Boss disco is by Big C in Chitlom area. Ask any taxi and they will know where it is since they get a commission. Need to be careful because last time I went, they weren't giving out commissions so my taxi driver tried to tell me they were closed and tried to get me to go someplace else but I just got out of the taxi. Also don't be alarmed if the taxi takes you through some side streets that look a little scary but that is the way to go. Tequila Dragon is new and I haven't been there yet but I heard it is kind of slow. Anybody can give an update on Tequila Dragon?
