I don't think Cambodia is a place for first timers anyway.
I don't either, but at this point we're not going to convince them. Airfares are cheap and they're convinced that SE Asia's a kind of theme park.
But really my feeling is that fellow hobbyists can approach this place any way they want. I'm just thankful that when I first came here there was zero information on it, and the only guys I could find to ask about it were all carrying guns -- the UNTAC troops!

is that damned construction still closing the riverside area? Don't think I'll make it over anyway...
Hola Spain.
Yes it is. Nice rooms, friendly owner and staff. The staff call you up after the guest leaves to make sure all is OK. Good place to stay and cheap too!
Adios Amigo!
Gracias Amigo, yo estaré en Phnom Penh el 3 de agosto !!!!

My visit to PP
I'm just back from my periodic visit to PP. I had good experience at the fishbowl at Luxury World Hotel at the corner between Monovong and Street 200. At the first floor a big fishbowl with Kmher Vitnamist and Chinese girls with differetn colored clothes. I went the first time just after lunch 1.30pm and I found a lot of girls (maybe more than 50.) some very cute. I choose number 21 and I spent one wondeful hour with her. Htey charge 5$ for the room or 8$ for room with little sauna. I advise to choose that one for more privacy.(every room has little windosw on the door.(why? I don't know.) and the one with sauna are little bit more big and the bed is not just in front of the door.). The girls asked 40" and we closed for 25$. Obviously the massage was not really good but she was really GFE. She became soon wet and really enjoed at all. I came back the last days of my trip and I choosed again her. I spent one hour with her without massage and was a great experience.

Sorry, what's a Vitnamist? Do you mean VIETNAMESE? Not being critical, I actually first thought you meant some kind of Khmer that I had never heard of. Now that I look at it again today, I think you must have meant "Khmer, Vietnamese and Chinese."

And no, i haven't been there since it re-opened.
Do we have a new forum rule that i have missed, about not asking questions?
I have been to PNH only four times before. So i don't know everything about the place as you grumpy old men do. After 20-40 year when i am your age i probably know a thing or two as well.
Arriving next week for my fifth visit so i get to check it out for myself.
Peace.

Yeah OK I am grumpy sometimes and I'm sorry.
But I am aware that NGO type people read these sites.
Just got back from saigon or HCM as the khmers call it.
Women OK but my khmer GF the most beautiful, she is too fat for me now but she certainly gets the looks from the viets and the barang.
Khmers are very beautiful, no doubt about it.
Saw a few working girls around pham noo lou, some on motos some on foot, A couple of cuties.
Went to the all blacks yarpies game with a young kiwi chap, he kept reminding me of how beautiful my GF was. Then he showed me a pic of his indonesian/greek GF who he met in abhu dahbie who was a from a rich family and didn't have to work. Wow lovely.

Yeah that did seem a bit quick on the draw -- wasn't understanding why anyone was presuming this pretty standard question was from an NGO.
Oh well, no biggie.

This is my first post but I'm not a completely newbie in PP nightlife as I lived there for around three years. Times where different and there was not a girlie bar scene. VN girls where present everywhere and a lot less hardcore than most of the ones you can meet now, some of them relics from K11 time (an example? Bong).
Now on a visa run I've one night only to explore e little bit the new scene.
Thought to stay at one of following guest-houses: DV8, Rose, Candy or Nay Nay.
Which do you recommend considering these parameters (in importance order): cleanliness, look and attitude of the girls downstairs and price? Once I read somewhere that DV8 had VN girls whom I prefer as they deliver something difficult to get from Khmer ones.
Not so much time, so what are the musts and the don't?
I'm sorry but I think you never been in toul kok. I do agree with you for street 63 and 154. 4 years ago these place was a paradise but it s a scam place
But for toul kok I totaly disagree with you, first toul kok have mostly khmer brothels. In all the khmer brothels in toul kok girls are free, no mamasan or papasan. And in 7 years no girls try to stoled my valuable or doing bad things. The girls here work only for feeding their family. Most of the girls are really kind. But since2/3 years the quality fall dramaticly
.
Help needed.
Can someone provide me with details where Toul Kok is located?--PM me if you must in case you think NGO are tapping in.
I was in PP last year and went searching for this place and even told a mototaxi to take me but he took me to I think it was Boeung Kak Lake area -just west of Wat Phnom /old stadium and didn't see any brothels at all. No joke, I could almost sense places were near but either they were closed during the day (about 2-3pm) or I was dumped at the wrong st. Walked around for a little while after the moto left and saw nothing but local life. No one hanging out to urge me in side any houses and everyone could tell I was there for only one reason.
I also search my tourist maps and didn't find area called Toul K. either.
Can someone provide me with what street this place is located along with some cross streets for reference, so I'll have a better chance of directing the mototaxi next time I'm there in about a months time.
And in addition to the street/cross street location, also clue me in as to best way to direct mototaxi to get me there, or at least somewhere close so I could get rid of him and his moto commission.
Need to avoid the disappointment of last year.
Thanks
