We have discussed for years the nature of the people here. Lying is part of every culture, but by comparison, its done more often here and an accepted part of life. You lie, and you forgive those who lie to you (in advance, its expected). Also we have discussed and painted pinoy as extremely opportunistic. They recognize a way to further themselves (or family, its all about their fam) and quickly exploit the situation to their advantage. Chameleon-like.
