As for "hardcore" girls, are you implying the Mango / Silver Dollar girls are less hard core than those at Jaguar? I'm not so sure about that.

Assuming you got a discount of 3500 to take out a Jaguar girl, how much did you tip her? I've never pulled a girl out of those high-end places so I don't know the system there.

The difference i felt in Jaguar was the live show they put on and the atmosphere feels like you are THE KING out there..cos the area is bigger..may be its just that i have not seen a bar as big as that back home..so more attracted to it....but if one has seen it all..then there is no difference anywhere in Cebu..when the girl catwalked they looked more hardcore to me :)

The first time i went, i got the girl for 5k..next time i took the same girl for 3500 and after few more trips i did not take any girl as i was too drunk..but after few weeks as i became regular bar fly and when the bar closed at 2.30..the girl who came earlier and her friend came with me with no bar fine and all were easy with that and they were saying in front of the staff ..that they are going with me...it was all ok..even though i wanted to get down on them i was too drunk so gave them taxi fare and on weekend met then at paseo...she is a short hair girl ..who also works sometimes at FatZoe's bar in paseo.....She is too unfuck**ingly unbelievengly good..she never ask for any money ever..no tricks..she is sick for love..well all girls in Cebu are..if you meet a girl second time ..you are her for ever...

What i found interesting..the girls when they are with you..will never ask for money or force you to buy anything..they are in their own world..mad for love i guess..its just the "MANAGEMENT" that makes and drips money out of us..but to be fair..they need it to run the show...

It was awash with smoke , you know what I mean , hardly see each other for the stuff.

Not my kind of environment.

There are also lots of brothels in Cebu which my taxi driver took around night for 200 pesos...whole night.... all great women ...just wanted to check out all the places

Arena and jagaur bar have around 80+ hot girls.......they have live shows and Ktv lounge on top...

Ohh man what can i say..i fell in love with half of the women in these bars...the bar fine is 5000 pesos..but if u bargain and wait by 2.30 am the time bar closes they would reduce it to 3500 around and if you are a regular visitor and a high rollar..you can take the girl out for free as they know you will pay the girl..

Thanks for the contribution. I have to give the other side of the coin opionion on a couple things.


1. MANY people in well paying jobs from USA and elsewhere are working there. I'm amazed how many people thing those living are retired.

I WORKED THERE for 2.5 years and was working 80 hours a week. It is possible to focus on work. It just depends on the person. In the US I would use my very little free time do things like something cultural and then sex with a girlfriend.

In Cebu, most all free time was a quick 1 hour prowl of the mango bars and then take a girl back home and skrew as long as possilbe.

You can work, if you are able to "compartmentalize" or if you have a ton of your own money on the line.

Regarding the P5000 bars. You have to understand that these same girls work their and then quit because the competition for being barfines is too intense and they can't make enough. In many cases they go from their to the better mango ave bars (EG: not silver dollar) that are 1/2 the price for one of us horn dogs (or less). Plus you can talk to the girls on mango if you're smart without spending a ton on drinks. Find out who you like in terms of attitude and personality.

If you have the time, then all P4P may fall far short or meeting "real" girls.

Yeah...its person to person..i had to work in EST time..so had to wake up all night..it was harder to break up on time except on weekend....i had thought before coming that i would be able to manage it...but guess..the sheer freedom of doing things at any time...made me break the boundaries..

Well..this time..im coming with no baggage of work but just pure pleasure and saved enough to survive a tsunami :)

I have spread out my time and will be meeting more regular girls and would venture out to province..

If you were working on EST time that explains a lot. I too was on a schedule that usually kept me up to 3AM or 4. It is very hard to keep yourself disciplined and on a normal schedule when one works graveyard hours.

what hotels have dependable high speed internet in cebu? what is situation if you are staying in cebu for awhile on this? would you rent an apartment and have system locally installed?

I am in Cebu again, for a few months- I have been spending winters here for the last 5 or 6 years. I hope to visit a few of the neighboring islands, & make some out of country trips- Maybe Singapore, Bali, Angkor Wat- not sure where yet. I hope to get my boat in the water before the end of this month- I've had it 2 years & only been out 3 or 4 times- each time with breakdowns involving lot's of oily smoke & steam, so we put the boat up on blocks & are giving it an engine transplant & general overhaul. As they say, "A boat is a hole in the water that you throw money in...".

Reasonably sane ISG'ers welcome to PM me for possible get togethers- I am in my late 60's, unattractive, socially inept, missing teeth etc- your normal average Cebu-based expat- but I can still hobble out to have a good time occasionally, if I can sneak out from under the watchful gaze of my lovely filipina live-in- She says she loves me- I love her beautiful ass.

I'll be going to cebu from nov. 23rd to dec. 6th (only time I can get free from work).

Anyway I plan on posting a report on my full itinerary plan when I get here based on what I have read and know. Any advice from that will be helpful. I'll post it within the next week.

But one question I have straight off is ATM machines. I presume ATMs will be hit and miss. My understanding is there are Citibanks and HSBC terminals there.

The back of my ATM card has the symbols:

NYCE, THE EXCHANGE, (diamond figured) PLUS

Does anyone know if these are usable in any of these major banks in Cebu?

They work everywhere in the States, but hey, this is the other side of the world. I plan to bring a lot of cash but would like to know I can use the ATM. (I also understand will have to be careful at ATM terminals)

HSBC (one main branch) is the best. Gives out up to 50,000 peso if your are a customer. All the others give out only about 5ooopeso in cebu. Best to bring cash if only a short stay imo as 5000 doesnt go far if you want a good time.

Cebu has more ATM's in the city than public toilets :) ....i was also worried about ATMs in cebu..but its kinda business to open an ATM anywhere it seems...with a population of less than a million..i bet there are more ATM in cebu than a typical city in USA..

You will get the PLUS sign almost every ATM in Cebu..you don't have to search fro HSBC or Citi bank..almost all banks in Cebu has the PLUS sign and are interconnected...you will have absolutely no problem withdrawing money...i could guarantee that with my own personal experience...

Philippines is just like USA for the most part...the music, dress sense, food , pharmacy, malls,, you have everything in Cebu...PLUS some more fun to add with less money..:)

Just to be on the safer side..get couple of cards and divide your money equally...you may never know..when you are drunk..where you lost your card :)

typically a decent (not going so far as to say 'nice'), clean apartment in cebu city will run from p10, 000 and up depending on the location, age, security, view and whether it is furnished. (what i would call a 'nice' place, for example, a city lights condo in busay which is very well and fully furnished would rent for about p45, 000 with a mountain view--city view is a little higher.) most are unfurnished, which in the philippines means it has nothing. no airconditioning, no refridgerator, no hot water, nothing. if it has any of those things it will cost more. also, expect for most landlords to demand a one year minimum contract and probably at least 3 months deposit and 2 months advance rent. don't be shocked when they ask for 6 months or even a year in advance! the rental prices in cebu are skyrocketing due to koreans coming as students and renting everything in site while paying astronomical prices without negotiating and agreeing to pay many months in advance, etc. always plan to negotiate and if at all possible have a filipino (but not a scum-sucking real estate broker! ) negotiate for you. filipinos will always charge a higher price if they know a foreigner is involved. i highly suggest to avoid using a real estate broker. they are the least honorable lot i have met in cebu. a good taxi driver is your best bet. drive around the areas you are interested in and look for signs and ask the guards at the gates of compound for houses/apts for rent.

areas outside cebu city are substantially less expensive. areas such as consolacion, compostella, lilo-an, etc are much cheaper than in the city itself. however, with traffic it can be a painstaking hour or more to drive to the city from these locales. (painstaking not because these locations are far from the city, rather due to having to muddle through traffic and congestion.)

high-speed internet is avaiable in most areas of the city. however, you should check with your chosen provider before you sign as lease. they will likely need to survey the site and check the area (local boxes for dsl or line of site for wireless) before they can tell you whether service is truly available. due to my business i have dealt with all 3 major isps in cebu: globe dsl, pldt dsl and smart wi-fi. for the typical user who doesn't require alot of bandwidth, i would recommend smart wifi. it is installed quickly and only requires line-of-site to a smart cell tower and costs p999/mo. if you require a faster connection. well, globe and pldt both suck. but, pldt sucks less. i pay nearly p6, 000/mo for sdsl which is supposed to deliver 2. 2mbps download and upload. however, only 128kbps is guaranteed!

Ok, so this will be my first trip to Cebu. I welcome any suggestions, additions, advice to my below "plans. " I have been to phillippines before but just in the company of relatives for the most part. Was only on my own in boracay and that isn't really an easy pickup spot although I did hook up there. People are right when they say byob.

I am Filipino but was born in the states. Both of my folks are Filipino , but I look mestiso. My great grandfather was spanish and they say I got his genes.

Anywhoo guess that means basically I don't look like a Filipino . I am 33 years old, pretty decent looking but I have a bit of a tummy that I can't really hide at this point. I still think I should do well on my own but I would welcome company too if anyone wants to meet up. Anywhoo my plan below.

I will be arriving on the 24th of November and stay till dec 7th. I plan to book 2 evening at Raja Hotel. Someone mentioned a place to get a cheap cell phone near this hotel as well. I'll try that place. I plan to try raja out and if I like it, I will book more. If I don't, I will stay somewhere else, maybe midtown or marriott. Expensive resort like shangri-la, I may stay on last 2 nights if I like how I budget myself.

I have budgeted about 2500 US dollars spending for my lewd exploits and food, after hotel and flight for the 14 days. I won't be barfining every night I hope. If I need more I'll visit the ATM but that's the budget guideline. Hope that's realistic (probably not: P).

I have communicated with some girls via filipina friendfinder and cebuanas websites and made plans to meet/text some of them when I arrive. One of the girls I've talked extensively too, is pretty damn hot and will bring her identical twin sister to meet me too (HELLO! ).

But I am well aware that this method can be a situation where one "can't put the ball in the basket" since they are probably "good girls. " I'd like to get a mix of good girls, even hanging out with their friends, and bad girls (just down and dirty sex). If I can get the down and dirty sex from just the good girls that'd be a major bonus but I'm realistic. Remember someone mentioned a restaurant on top of hotel with a good view. (will search 4 it)

For the day it appears there are numerous places one can try to meet girls. I definately like the idea of chatting it up with sales clerk types. I've noted a lot of suggestions from this thread and won't' list that all here.
