THREE for the boys: Sazanka vs Akane vs Hana-Massage
On a recent (Nov 2006) trip to SEA, I decided to sample some of the more eclectic massage places there are in BKK. After some browsing and reading, I came up with a list of three places that I wanted to try
HANA Massage on the surface is just another one of the Thai and Oil Massage places that are littering Sukhumvit. Its mamasan is Rin, who earned a reputation for Chap Kar Sai and has previously worked at Subway (Ratchadaphisek).
SAZANKA Massage offers Korean style Akasuri massage, i.e. a full body salt scrub and a muscular deep tissue massage. Hand-jobs come as standard.
AKANE Fashion Massage offers a, well, Japanese treatment – full body massage, a muscular deep tissue massage and, ahem, anal rimming by one girl wile another one gives you a BJ.
To be a bit more complete, here’s my complete rundown:
HANA Massage
***What is special: Traditional Thai and Oil massage, and Chap Kar Sai. Chap Kar Sai is a non-sexual genital massage which is supposed improve blood flow and circulation in that vital area. Although it’s against Chap Kar Sai good practice, Rin will provide a HJ.
*** Is it really special? Yes - I never came so intensely after a HJ.
*** Girls: Rin is a 40 year old lady. Don’t go there for looks, go there for the massage.
*** Cost: 400 baht for 2 hours of Thai massage, plus a tip if you are not a cheap charley
*** Is it worth it? Yes, 1000 baht - and I never came so intensely after a HJ.
*** Where: Sukhumvit Soi 22, walk past the Queens hotel and you will find it in a tiny little alley left
*** More information: Hana website is here http://hanamassage.web.fc2.com and you can find more on Chap Kar Sai here http://www.tao-garden.com/clinic_v1/karsai.php .
SAZANKA Massage
***What is special: Massage offers Akasuri Korean massage, a full body salt scrub and a muscular deep tissue massage. Hand-jobs come as standard and are special: I do not understand what the girls exactly do, but they delicately touch you balls and shaft and it feels very special.
*** Is it really special? Yes - I never felt cleaner than after the salt scrub.
*** Patrons: Many Japanese, (maybe) an odd Korean and quite a lot Caucasian.
*** Girls: When you enter, you chose your girl from a book with photos. You also chose your treatment from a menu. The girls all have Japanese nicknames, and they are extremely courteous and well trained. – using a Japanese place is a good thing in this regard.
*** My girl: Cannot tell her name and number, she gave me her phone number afterwards which is against the rules.
*** Cost: 1.600 or so baht for 2 hours of treatment, including the HJ
*** Ist it worth it? Yes, I never felt so clean and relaxed.
*** Where: Again Sukhumvit Soi 22, one of the first lanes on the left. When going down on Sukhumvit Soi 22 you will come to the Regency Park Hotel. If you stand in front of the hotel and look across the street you will see a small alley. Go across the street and walk through this small lane. A bit more down the lane and after passing a few Thai traditional massage places on the right you will see a Korean BBQ restaurant. Right behind this restaurant is Sazanka Massage.
*** Website: N/A
AKANE Fashion Massage
***What is special: Japanese treatment – full body massage, a muscular deep tissue massage and, ahem, anal rimming by one girl wile another one gives you a BJ.
*** Is it really special? It’s certainly novel – for everything else YMMV.
*** Patrons: Many Japanese, and quite a lot Caucasians.
*** Girls: When you enter, you chose your girl from the bench; when you leave, you get a discount card (one free session for ten cards) with the girls (nick) name and a telephone number. You also chose your treatment from a menu. The girls again all have Japanese nicknames, they are friendly courteous and well trained.
*** My girl: Cannot tell her name and number, she gave me her phone number afterwards which is against the rules. I do have quite a lot of phone numbers after this trip…
*** Cost: 1.600 or so baht for 2 hours of treatment, including the AR and BJ.
*** Is it worth it? Just for the novelty- yes.
*** Where: Chitlom, just a lane off the Holiday Inn and the BTS and Soi 33.

Why would we recommend this report which doesn't tell us anything new and shows complete ignorance about mongering in LOS?
Welcome to the BKK thread ...
Just returned from a weekend playing in a softball tournament and golfing with the boys and can say everyone had a great time! The team comes once a year at this time, and are starting to know there way around. We stayed at the Grande Majestic right next to Nana Plaza, great hotel, great service w Highlights:
-Best find this weekend. boys where going to go to Darlings as posted in previously, but our tuk-tuk driver said the place is so run down and took us to Plaza Entertainment Complex to Cupid massage, same cost as Darlings but promised us good looking girls he wasn't wrong. He even came in and said if we didn't like he would take us someplace else no charge. We got there on Sunday Night at 8:00pm after dinner when you enter on the left hand side their are women sitting on sofas and to the right there are women in the fishbowl. Women in the fishbowl cost 2500 baht for 2 hours while the women on the couches to the left when you enter are 3,000 for 2 hours. The ones on the left are stunning! we had our beers, no rush to choose your women.
(let me tell you there was over 150 women to choose from we couldnt believe our eyes when we entered the place. The guy even said there are more on Friday and Saturday evening. Unbelievable!
Definitely will be back to this place again!
Overall a great trip and looking forward to the next visit to Bangkok!

Young Cow,
Welcome to the BKK thread. Don't let the negative posts deter you from posting again. There are many members who appreciate posts from new members. Your post on Cupidy massage was interesting in that it got me thinking. It's considered the classic rip off joint in BKK, since the taxi drivers get a large commission, which is basically paid by you. Having said that, I will bet there are many members who have never gone there because of this "warning". I know I have not.
I know it costs more due to the commission, but if I do post any further remarks about the place, it will simply be a warning of the commission. Since I have not actually experienced the girls or service there, my calling the place a rip off joint may be out of line. I also suspect that many of the members have been following this warning so long, that they have no recent first hand experience with this fish bowl establishment.
The bottom line is that you may have spent more than you would elsewhere, but if you had a great time, who cares! Just keep having fun, since that's what it's all about. Respect the girls and the culture and enjoy what the city has to offer.
By the way, I know a fellow board member on the Tokyo board, who made the move to Japan. He's had a great life, so good luck to you. I was lucky enough to meet up with him in Tokyo and he's a great guy. I don't want to post his handle, since he already has his hands full helping others.
I thought the "newbie jerk" line from a previous post was out of line, since the poster does not know the first thing about you. I suspect some of that was from the irritation of how the "Reports of distinction" award is being handed out. I'm really puzzled by that, since it means there's some resentment out there. Is the ROD award that important to you guys? I post for the mutual exchange of information. My perspective is who cares who gets the ROD?
Keep the posts coming (Both on the BKK and Tokyo boards).
Peace,
AT2
