All were showing the lower fares. Out of those I would do any except China Airlines (however I rarely fly any of these except Philippine and only because I have to fly them). For end of Aug departure out of LAX and and Sept 7th return to LAX. Of course you would be in the back of the bus and have the most restrictions. Those were costing out around 1 K without taxes. Some were at 1.3 K, current prices.

You are here than you are gone again. Mr Tansak has been a big help to me. I have picked some great imformation from his brain and he has explained some things about this hobby to me through PM's. I am looking forward to having some drinks with him while i am there. It is very kind of him to take the time to help me. Lot of good people on this board helping each other.

Why is that Tansak? I fly them exclusively from the USA to BKK, or Bali, and they have always been great to me.
I know once in a while, a plane falls out of the sky, or catches on fire, but surely that is not a valid reason for not flying them ;)

I like this idea with the Marriott and Landmark getting their own thread here. I don't think that Jackson had any problems with that...

It's fun to a certain extend, but it is also a lot of work. And advertising - yes, sure, but to attract the right customer group within such a forum is rather difficult.

This thread developed more towards a Livingstone's Customer Relations thread - the guests who came here in the past can stay connected by reading (or even writing in) this thread, and will hopefully not forget us when they plan their next Bangkok trip.

I mentioned alot of great contributors and great writers to the board in my last couple of posts but last but certainly not least is PassinThrough. He was my first teacher and what i consider a "Gentleman , Good Friend , and also Wise Man". Thank you guys and keep posting.

At the end of a week with my GF (including numerous shopping occasions), she has hit me for a new Mobile Phone/PDA with GPS etc. (ouch) and a huge stack of DVDs from you know that shop in Phanthip. Get to hear the "goss" on Mr. Tansak and his lovely GF too. Monday have to pay for her next term of English classes again.

Having a GF always seems to come out much more expensive than P4P.

Yeah my pocket book knows the feeling as well. But you know what, I don't mind it so much. And I'm confused, is it your turn to pay for english class or is it my turn? ;)

But please clarify, you mean to tell me my tee rak #2 over at that Pantip place actually commented about me? That "old crow", next week she is going to hear from me ;) Damn, guess I can't take a different girl to Pantip now.

Remember that "old Crow" at Pantip knows both our GF's and their homes.

A great thing for me about the Lodge is the "respectable" facade, and there would be no problems staying there with my very respectable Asian gf (not Thai btw).

Now here's the question. My Asian gf is bi-curious, but zero experience, and would love to have a session (including me I suppose) with another gal. But would not be comfortable in choosing someone from Soi Cowboy for example. Would the Sports Bar be a good choice? Not too sleazy in my opinion, girls are nice and well behaved and generally well presented, BUT, are any of them into a bit of soft girl-girl action? Also, how would the girls react if we were there as a couple, would we be ignored? When I was there last (alone), was seated and a girl "assigned" to my table. No problem making contact with others, everyone was friendly.

Some of them are into it a bit, others not. Same as in all bars.

You would first be ignored, if you sit there with your girlfriend - but it is up to you to establish eye contact and invite the girls for a drink. You have to talk honestly about what you want.

The best way will be to talk to the mamasan first. She then can pre-select and send only girls to your table who might be interested.
