Whats Up is past Angel Witch and has a Silver Question mark above the door. I went to Whats Up last Friday (2 nights ago) after 9:45 pm. They do not have top 3 talent as far looks go on WS bars. The girls are mostly attractive though. The article on [URL]Bangkok.com[/URL] about it being the top bar on WS is probably at least 2 years old. I probably would frequent only 3 of the top 5 bars on their list. I'm not big on Bacarra but I do like Patts Bacarra more than Soi Cowboy Bacarra. I think its overrated and the Cowboy branch makes you pay before entering on Peak nights a whopping 180 bht. But hey it was full of white punters.

I went to Rasputin tonight because I got bored and stumbled upon it after walking to check out Soi 6. It is very comparable to the other soapies past Mcdonalds and hard rock hotel. They start at 2. 5 k and go up to 4. 5 k (for VIP girls). As I aforementioned the lineups are better at Huay Kwang soapies. But even their lineup has fell off from 2 years ago. I didn't see the ultra fresh cute early 20 something lineup girls last week in BKK. I'm going to loosen the purse strings next month and pay markup for quality.
Soi 6.
It is a mini WS. At least 25% ladyboy. I heard guys raving about it but the ladyboy presence make beer gardens not for me. Lots of neon graphics. Ladyboys are aggressive on Soi 6,7,8. And some have tried to fool me which dispels the just ask if unsure theory. Some even invite you to grab there crotch. But I think that is a ruse to feel you up in return.

The usual cost is between 140-160 baht. Bar fines in the Happy group clubs are 800 baht. Most of the girls love to get bar fined. The majority of the best looking girls have not been altered surgically, although a fair percentage have silicone tits. Yes prices have gone up but not nearly as much as what your pal told you. One way girls are fleecing customers is they are not ordering full size beers and getting very small drinks. Filipinos will generally sit with you longer and if you are a slow drinker match the pace at which you are consuming your beverage. So a Thai lady can consume her drink in well under 10 minutes. And discern quickly whether you will keep the overpriced drinks flowing or search for her next payday. Where in the Phils they will sit with me over 10 minutes. 90% of the time unless it is that rare situation where a princess blows you off and refuses your drink offer. I like that strategy and will be proactive and start giving out my phone number. If I had more time here I would have personal business cards made up. If a girl isn't feeling you or is ultra cute / popular she can demand a higher price to dissuade you. They could also try the bait and switch. I immediately ordered my number one choice a drink before anyone could pry her off stage. Her friend walks by and I offer her a drink also. But an important point is that you stay in Thailand and have a distinct advantage over people like us who visit for short period of time. Getting a girl's number and then meeting up for 1000 baht isn't exactly negotiation. That is being smart and making the most of your residency status. Negotiation is when you manage to beat down the price quoted in the exact same setting where the quote was made originally.
I am not about to abandon Thailand in any way, unless I witness this for myself. Plus I have a special liking for Thai women, Thai food, Thai culture and the Thai countryside that has brought me back to this wonderful country every single year for the past several years.

It has been about three years since I've been to Pattaya. I myself tend to prefer freelancers because I have not noticed much difference in terms of performance between them and the bar or go go bar girls. There were pretty many freelancers in the Coconut Bar (Beech Road) who were available for $500 to $700 baht, is this still the going rate? Also, other than the discos, are there any other good places to meet freelancers and if so what are the prices? Thanks!

I did not plan on sessioning because my LT chick from the night before had just left my room and I don't much dig paying 1000 for a ST when I pay that for a LT. When we walked in 2 chicks approached us. I said that I liked the bartender so she went and switched to a bikini while some other chick went and worked behind the bar.
Since I did not plan on sessioning I went ahead and bought her a drink so I could sit there and touch her body and get her to touch mine. But my buddy was out of the bar and to the room in no time flat (even though he had a girl that just left too) and this chick already had my dick on torpedo from reaching up into my shorts playing with it, so I decided to follow suit.
When we got back from the session the bartender gave the girl her drink back. The girl then asked me if she could have another drink. I said you still have that drink. She picked it up and guzzled it and said okay now. I laughed and told her we were leaving and asked for the bill. For my club soda and whatever she drank it was 210. For the bar it was 300. And for the girl there was a separate fee of 700 paid directly to her. So total 1210 baht.
Oh yeah. When we got to the room she tried to upsell me on a big room with AC for 500. I do not know if it was supposed to be 500 additional or 200 with the 300 fee that was already supposed to be paid to the bar to total 500. What I do know though that the place where I was was hotter than 2 rabbits fucking in a wool sock.

A normal woman walking down those streets will almost never grab your dick or your arm. A normal woman will only first block you from walking then she will put her arms around you and try to push you towards her bar. The first thing a LB is going to do is either grab your dick or reach out and grab your upper arm with one hand. But I have never had any of them try to trick me. I've never set foot in a bar, or go-go (of which there are very few anyway). Another friend of mine wouldn't even bother with the disco, he would find girls on Bangla road or other ways. I've never found the prices to be higher than in Pattaya, either for ladies or anything else. Sure some tried, e.g. the street food 100B a dish, but one would just have to move to the next stop. There even more than in Pattaya is vital to drive a scooter otherwise one will be pray of the bike / small taxi gouging. Right now the hotels have more aggressive Expedia promotions than in Pattaya. I don't go there anymore just as a matter of "personal choice", laziness if you will.

Unfortunately, quality is far lower than what you might remember, and due to police raids the time window when most of them are out is fairly limited (19.30 until midnight or so).
Beach Road used to be my bread and butter as well, but since about two years ago, it has become more difficult to find anyone passable there.
As for other places with freelancers, they're all over. There's walking street and places behind (2nd road near VC hotel).
