I know I need to be more disciplined about price. I spend too much. It's hard when you are in town for a short trip, time is tight, and opportunity costs are high.

I'd rather spend more than miss an opportunity to have the girl I want. But I need to negotiate better.

We are the visiting team, and I for one would hate to miss a beauty because of a small amount of money. Also, given how much I pay for the goods at home, it is always a bargain over there. Hence, for me negotiating is a waste of my precious time. If I am quoted too high a price, I just move on to the next one.

Monday early evening I found Mew on Beach Road very near Mike's Shopping Center, wears a baseball cap, looks very athletic, not young. THB 500 for two hours. A bit mechanical but satisfied my need at the moment. I put her through a lot, multiple positions and some good pounding and she was a trooper through it all. Had to stop twice to apply lube, not sure she was really into it enough to get wet.

Then walked from Hilton to Walking Street a few times between 7 and 10 pm, seemed a bunch of girls show up around 8 pm. The selection was impressive, all sizes and ages. Seems the closer you get to Walking Street most of the girls are wearing several extra pounds. Not my style, but if that's your thing lots from which to choose. The area near the Hilton had dozens of choices and five or six I would rate quite highly, young and beautiful.

Tuesday drinking beer at Hooters around 7 pm, saw an "older" lady standing behind the few palm trees on Beach Road sidewalk, projecting a shy persona. After a few beers I walked over to meet Nauch (or Knock or some such), indeed not one of the young girls. I took her for short time THB 500 with an option for long time if we really enjoy each other. We did! She was extremely responsive, she was into it and helped me gain maximum enjoyment. So short time turned into long time, THB 1,000 + and extra 100 just because in addition to the great sex we had a lot of laughs, very witty lady. We finished round one, slept five hours or so, went to round two, slower, longer and even more enjoyable. Seems this is what attracts me to the 40 year-old on occasion.

Big Beach Road marathon this coming Sunday, Beach Road will be closed part of Saturday as well, so I've prearranged Nauch to cover this period, shopping the Coconut Bar may not be easy during this weekend.

I found Beach Road pretty weak when I first arrived but since it's been cooler the past 2-3 days I've hopped off baht buses at stretches where I see a few nice girls. The lineup has picked up dramatically. When all the bars close possibly July 15 and July 19 and 20, I'll be on Beach Road looking for some action as I'm thinking a lot of girls will flock there. Any truth to that from past years?

From the looks of it plenty of girls are heading out of town starting tomorrow. Pattaya will be a bit quieter. Won't stop the Chinese tour buses though!

I was there two weeks ago and the selection was rather good.

I found the best area for a reasonable choice to be between Central Rd and Soi 13.

The price does not seem to have changed for many years now, still 500 Baht for short time and, in the afternoon many of the girls are happy to stay for two or three hours. No real model type stunners but a very good selection of "girl next door" type playmates.

If there was a database containing a list of all available ladies with an objective and quantified description of their qualities and their price, then it would be trivially easy to search for the "best".

But such database does not exist and we cannot call or walk around and ask them all their price and then go back to the "best" as she may already be gone by then.

If you only look at the price (which you can do if the candidates are all more or less of the same quality, say Soi 6 girls or top-level agogo clubs or Beach Road hookers) then you ask the price of the first 3 or 4 girls you meet but don't pick any of them. As from then on you pick the first girl you meet that is cheaper than the cheapest of these first 3 or 4 girls.

This is a strategy that works even iin places for which you have absolutely no clue what the going rate is. It gives you the best chance to choose the best price.

Of course the many articles in ISG will give you enough information on prices that the "secretary problem" technique is not needed anymore.

But from time to time it still comes in handy.

I also don't have unlimited money or stamina: after 3 pops it's over and done.

How to optimize my sessions?

Simple. I apply the above theory: If there are about 30 girls around, I will check about 12 of them (chosen at random) and give them a score as objective as possible. Yet I choose none of them but I will take the next one (still choosing at random) that has a score higher than the best of those in the first dozen.

In my experience, there is always [B]someone[/B] available on Beach Road, but the chances of that someone being pretty enough for me to bed is very hit and miss. Sometimes it is teeming with beautiful girls, sometimes there is no one younger than 40 or weighing less than 140 pounds. And the locations for where the good girls are vary by night, by season, and by random, as far as I can tell. So it requires luck and some leg work to get the right person from Beach road, IMHO.

My own attitude to Beach Road is to take a stroll, look to see what is on offer, and if something catches your fancy, grab it immediately. Don't be shy or coy, just grab it, because if you try to shop around and double back, the girl may be gone. Also, and this is my actual point: I never rely on Beach Road as my sole option. If your game plan is to pick someone from Beach Road, then the chances are that you are in for a long night. But in my experience, when I have found someone on Beach Road, it has generally been nice, low-cost, and satisfying. So definitely worth consideration.

I thought it was game theory because it was structuring the interaction so that the dealers competed over you, removing any rice collusion between dealers, so that they are forced to chose their worst acceptable price point because of their fear of being under-cut by the other guy and losing the sale. IMO, it all depends on the kind of venue you are in. I do like your theory and strategy though (I did read it the last time you posted it). I too use a similar type of approach, except I don't do any quantitative or objective scoring in my mind. I leave it completely up to my biological visual and sensory field to input, at the gestalt level, and to intruct me, instinctively. I love the complexity of information that I get to process at a place like Insomnia. I feed on it, and it sustains me! Crazy, I agree.

Now, with all due respect for your greater experience, strategy and success todate (which I admire), I would observe that neither your theory / strategy application, nor the game theory approach can work where a girl has the option of saying no to a customer, and is perfectly able to excercise that option (I. E. Does not need your money that night).

IMO, in places like Insomnia, for example, many non-objective, non-rational things can also come into play, that could cause the universe of potentiality to intercede in your maxization strategy / decisioning. The human face even subtle differences- expressions, a guy's specific approach, the guys attire, another guy making contact a milli or micro second before you make your move etc etc can all create " visual and interpersonal feeling induced information chaos " . There may also be a kind of unknown "field" (like a magnetic field -but totally different....for example if we are in a mathematical universe) at work.

At a place like Insomnia there can also be 'information chaos' when a girl perceives (rightly or wrongly) that there are many good looking men out there at that time, and the girl feels (rightly or wrongly) that she could potentially have her cake and eat it too. Which is why so many girls leave Insomnia alone at 6 am! Good looking ones. I enjoy seeing them exit, wondering what happened, never knowing that the place was giving them feedback, but they return and don't make any adjustments based on the feedback loop. Haha.

Or, if the girl is a very occasional pro who does not badly need the money that particular night. Or, has money coming in regularly from a foreign source.

But, there are a couple of caveats; if you are young, late 20's, good looking guy, dresses fashionably smart, with say 5,000-6,000 baht to spend, I think the maxization of your kind of objective function, subject to your various quality constraints, can certainly work at Insomnia as well. However, I think no one (not even you) can maximize potential ' pleasure ' a priori. For this, prior knowledge and experience with a specific girl is required, and even then many other things can produce decreasing marginal return in ' pleasure' a second time around, particularly when expectations are thrown into play. So, I think we can only work with expected pleasure maxization ?

And the second caveat being that even at Insomnia if you don't look terrible, I think approaching any girl with say a 8,000 baht offer will also work. Money will and can trump all else in such a venue. I totally avoid this, even though I could employ your strategy with my kind of maximization objective function (with my subjective gestalt level sensory inputs).

FYI, I have been rejected by some good looking young girls at Insomnia just at first glance, or first "1 second" pass. Although they never knew how much I could, or would have been willing to pay. And they will never know! That's cause if I get the instinctive sense that a girl does not care for me, I completely and totally lose interest in that girl, no matter the strength of my wallet. I am usually sound asleep by midnight, yes, silly to be in Pattaya and asleep by midnight! This morning found myself wide awake at 4:30 am. I've never walked Beach Road at this hour and wondered if many of the gogo girls would be wandering by as they go home. I crossed Beach Road from my hotel (Marriott) and immediately saw a very pretty, small spinner leaning against the beach chairs. Said her name was Naughty and she asked THB 700 for short time. I countered with 500, then we agreed on 600. She seemed reluctant to take my offer, maybe as reluctant as I was to go shopping at 4:30 am. But off we went and had a great time. By the end of the session she was anxious to give me her digits and asked me to please call her at 8 or 9 pm, not wait until so early in the morning. I was shocked to learn she is 35 years old, her body said 25! Young attitude as well. I'll definitely call her for round two before I leave Patts.

Re. Bar closings July 15,19, and 20, this is from Glass House's Facebook stating police's closing instructions. From what I hear though other bars will be opening before midnight July 20. Wonder if police will be out busting and closing bars tonight and July 19-20.
