There is a thing who cannot be estimated and managed and its the pride of a nation. Its something you can hurt without noticed it and someday it can hurt you in the face. No one seen ww1 and ww2 coming, there was a lost of assumption and theory but when it started it took years and even decades to stop.
This is a typical stupid binary Spidy post. You take a complicated subject and boil it down to good and bad. China? Good. Obama, Bush, Biden? Good. Trump? Bad. Oil companies? Bad. I know what LCOE is, and you don't. Oh, LCOE is an estimate? Well, Mr. Smarty Pants, what would you use?
Still don't know what an LCOE is? Here let me remind you once again!
Definition of LCOE:
The levelized cost of electricity/energy (LCOE), is a measure that calculates the average cost of electricity generation over the lifetime of a power plant, taking into account all costs associated with building and operating the plant divided by the total electricity produced. It is used to compare the cost-effectiveness of different energy generation technologies.

And Trump is destroying our future with drill, baby, drill? LOL. Here are two questions that you won't answer. Was there more drilling under Biden or Trump? Did the oil and gas companies make more money under Biden or Trump? Yeah, thank God, you command the facts so well.
Still failing to grasp the meaning of your own argument from the "shale revolution" to "drill-baby-drill"? Here let me remind you once again!
U.S. Energy Program from Bush to Trump:
The "shale revolution" was a tremendous and timely "PIVOT", made by President Bush, to bolster U.S. energy security, in the 2000's has served America very well, however its diminishing role in an electrified era, won't. The energy program, thrived and excelled under President Obama's "All-of-the-Above" energy strategy, and under President Biden's IRA bill, that sought to develop every available source of American energy, even CSS and DAC. This again was the Dems supporting all forms/b of cleaner energy..
Then we come to the USA Energy security under your MAGA Fuhrer regime, that basically throws the USA Energy program for clean energy under the bus, and sets American on a path that places China well ahead in this new electrified era.

Your MAGA Fuhrer is doing more for China and Russia, than Xi and Putin (respectively), could have every hoped for.
And Trump is destroying our future with drill, baby, drill? LOL. Here are two questions that you won't answer. Was there more drilling under Biden or Trump? And look how that turned out, since the Chinese auto manufacturers began eating their lunch.
So if YOU, like your MAGA Fuhrer, don't think it's yet time to strategically "PIVOT" to electrification, then by all means, keep regaling us with past stories of the former glory of the USA Energy policies. After all it is the MAGA thing to do, right? Especially in the face of a know nothing, do nothing, no nothing zombie MAGA government.
The Quiet Retreat: Why the oil and gas industry is implementing its own decline, even as the IEA resurrects an old growth scenario, 12 November 2025.
"Political pressure may be forcing the IEA to revive an old forecast of endless fossil fuel growth, but oil and gas investment reality tells a clearer story of an industry embracing decline.
The recent threat by US Energy Secretary Chris Wright to defund the International Energy Agency (IEA) has achieved its goal: the return of the pro fossil-fuel Current Policies Scenario (CPS) to the agencys flagship reports. (WEO, Nov 12)
For critics of peak demand and the energy transition, this is seen as a victory for data over ideology. In reality, it is the reverse it is a triumph of political gesture over foresight.

What's even more funny, about those in denial, is how the decline in gas stations in places like Norway, Sweden, Nepal and China, is that, now ICE owners, are the ones with "range anxiety", LOL!

The rig count is used to measure driling activity, and it was far higher under Biden then Trump and because oil prices were higher under Biden, the oil companies made a lot more money under Biden.
Of course, I am speaking with a dumb Dem who thinks government policies and not market reality is what drives the energy market.
I remember watching a CNBC show and a commentator said, "I do not want to talk politics but regardless of your politics, Joe Biden is the best friend the oil companies have ever had. " and he was dead right.
Yawn! You still do not understand how energy companies think. I said that Trump made a mistake excluding other nations from developing Venezuelan oil reserves and predicted Exxon, the largest oil company, would balk at being involved in Venezuela, and they have done so. The reason is Exxon was hugely burned when investing in Venezuela and I did not think they were willing to invest there again because of how much they lost / had stolen from them. But there are other oil companies willing to go in.
And this is where your LCOE bullshit falls flat on its face. You can estimate the cost of labor, pipelines, and drilling equipment ETC into a LCOE, but there is no way in hell you can quantify the political risk. In fact, it is that risk why Exxon is staying out and Baker Huges is going in. Baker Hughes beileves Trump will protect their investment, and Exxon is not so sure.
And despite your nonstop diarrhea about politics and energy and your light bulb moment that costs actually factor into energy production, how does LCOE account for political risks / cost? Yeah, you will ignore that question too.
And just stop about Bush and shale or Obama and shale. Bush's solution to our declining oil production was war in Iraq. An oil employee came up with fracking or horizontal drilling and at the price of oil back then, it was finally made profitable to produce. The talk of the time back then was the bullshit concept of peak oil and how we were running out and had to go to war to get oil.
That Bush invaded Iraq was one of the dumbest moves in American foreign policy history. Of course, Biden and the Dems were just as equally bird brained. Instead of building a water and natural gas pipeline to the Western USA from Alaska and solving high energy costs and future droughts, Biden directed money towards Ukraine and building these dumb electrical charging stations in the middle of nowhere. Of course, at least with Ukraine, Biden saved the nation that was #1 for Democrats and their money laundering NGO schemes, so there is that plus for you guys. For the poor consumers and farmers on the West Coast, it was the ultimate middle finger.

The levelized cost of energy (LCOE), is used to assess the financial viability of NEW (or proposed) energy projects by comparing the average cost of electricity generation over the project's lifetime.
Note, the operative words being "NEW" or proposed energy projects, NOT ongoing or current projects in operation.

LCOE is irrelevant for oil. Well, yes, you could look at the cost of generating electricity from fuel oil or diesel. But who does that? Caribbean islands and people who can't rely on their local power grids? If you compare the cost for long haul trucking, marine vessels, planes and the like, the cost of the renewables will look sky high compared to gasoline, diesel and jet fuel. Making green hydrogen isn't cheap.
Another consideration lost in the LCOE debate is that solar and wind can't reliably supply base load electricity. Yes, with batteries, solar may be good for 4 to 6 hours after the sun stops shining. But what do you do for multi-day or seasonal weather events? Or in the early morning hours before the sun's up?
The best solution is to follow the example of Texas. Exploit oil, natural gas, nuclear, solar and wind. The worst is California, where government mandates force renewables down peoples' throats. The California consumer pays over 2 X what Texans pay for electricity.
