I used mine twice in Sosua and did not have any fees on the Schwab side.
Thank you. Also I would like to ask if you have had any issues using the card. I always have to call them from whatever country I'm in to lift the security hold, even though I have a travel advisory on the card. I don't remember if it is actually Schwab bank or Visa who put the hold. It could also be because I normally use the card in Brazil and it is well known for fraud. The card works after I call from Brazil and get the hold released.
I was just wondering if I will encounter the same issue in the DR.
Just to reconfirm I have never had any fees associated with using the card and they have always reimbursed any other bank fees.

I called to activate the card and I was told by a CS agent that I needed to call ahead and give a travel advisory; so I did and used the card at three different banks (to test the card) and did not have any issues.
Is there anything useful or decorative I could bring back, besides happy memories?
In the food area you could always pick up some almonds and for pain relief you could pick up some noni they both grow in the DR
I suppose it would be a good idea to use my debit card at an atm in the DR to get CS and / or Visa used to seeing activity from me. And yes I gave CS a travel advisory before leaving.

And Tijuana is only 20 minutes away. I guess for security, it is not a bad thing.
plenty of young **** looking chicas hanging outside of rumba and d'latins. security guys checks chicas i d 's in the front and back to make sure no **** chicas get inside. step out front and you can see all of the wannabe (in the game) **** chicas standing outside hoping some indiscriminate customer comes along.
there are a lot of **** chicas with phony i'd's and most of the hotels won't let them in without an i'd. on my last trip my buddy went with a girl that had a phony i'd that said she was 19, but once inside the room the girl confessed to being only 16 years old. i also witnessed **** chicas in front of rumbas and when i asked them how old they where they would lie and show me their i'd's which were phony. i've heard that a phony i'd can be obtained for something like 1, 000 pesos. the thought of being caught with an **** chica has serious ramifications both in the dr and in the states!

jj
i kinda forgot about chicas with phony cedulas. because it hasnt been a major concern for me. about the article. i didn't get the idea that those new cedulas were mandatory for current cedula holders or needed to be replaced immediately. maybe only when their current cedulas expire the new cedulas will be the only i d's available? some guys have some semblance of caution in place if they are staying in a hotel that checks cedulas. in many instances i don't think guys are diligent enough in checking cedulas, but instead hoping or guessing with chicas, and relying on security at their hotels to proof the chicas. security may miss a fake cedula or allow a chica on the property through a propina. in my case, there is no security checking cedulas. i have to rely on my own intuition about chicas i bring to my spot, as well as the validity of their cedulas.

So far their promptness, availability and professional service online or on the phone has been excellent.
Can anyone here give me some info on a woman named Latina in Sosua? I was previously advised to seek her out. Any help would be appreciated.

How about because if you are a US Citizen the US laws follow you ALL OVER THE WORLD. Including 3rd World Countries. ICE Immigrations and Customs Enforcement is actively working DR, Philippines, Thailand and other Hot Spots and enforcing US laws. Arresting offenders. And sending their asses back to the US for Trial and Incarceration. Because the girl is using a fake ID has no bearing in the case........ if she is a minor and you get caught you are fu$ked ,THATS WHY IT MATTERS.
