I might meet up with some scuba friends in Puerto Galera, still finalizing details, but if I do, it would be nice to find some female company. I've been reading this board, but still had a few questions:

1) Is everything paid by cash? Should I carry Philippine pesos (vs Euros, USD, etc)? How much should I carry? How likely am I to be robbed? If I have to negotiate a price, I have to carry more than I need. But obviously if I end up naked, I can't keep any cash on my person.

2) Am I better looking for a massage, a bar or somewhere else? If I have to take a girl back to a hotel, are most hotels accommodating?

3) Am I better off trying to find something somewhere in Manila or going straight to Puerto Galera? I'd rather not go to Angels, too far in the wrong direction. A night or 2 near EDSA or somewhere else in Manila is doable.

And a 2 hour drive in the PH is considered extremely short and convenient, absolutely nothing compared to the rest of the traffic clusterfuck.
And, yes, cash only, and pesos, nobody knows the value of the USD, or what the fuck are the paper clippings from the colorbook, called Euros.

The only exception is that you can normally pay for your hotel via card, Agoda etc. Larger restaurants may accept card. There are ATMs in Sabang and PG but they routinely shut down and / or run out of cash so don't be down to your last 100 peso. You need 5000 per barfine plus drinks, plus meals, plus, plus. This is a PITA when ATMs only dispense 10 k per withdrawal. MAKE SURE YOUR BANK IS AWARE THAT YOU WILL BE MAKING MULTIPLE WITHDRAWLS EVERYDAY. Don't do anything crazy and you won't be robbed.

2/. Sabang centers around Gogo bars. There are freelancers but they are regularly run out of town when the bars complain about the competition. You could also follow Phil's directions to meet casuals / semi pros.

All Sabang hotels are girl friendly. Some wildly so especially late at night. Pools, gardens, dive shops, secluded corners may or may not be off limits at various times of the night.

Note that you have asked about Puerto Galera. I assume you mean nearby Sabang. They are different places. There is F-All in Puerto and all the bars etc are in Sabang.

3/. Everyone has different tastes. Personally, I like Makati but others prefer other areas. Is EDSA Entertainment Complex even open?? I thought it closed years ago.

It's the 3rd largest population in the PI yet the girls have a very different attitude to Manila girls. I was paying 1/2 k ST / LT in Davao, the same as many other much smaller Mindanao cities.

Some first timers have no situational awareness or need to be surrounded by familiar conveniences, others keenly disappear down the darkest alleyways in search of adventure. I am not as afraid of being jumped in a dark alley as I am of laying there with a big stupid smile on my face and not realizing the girl just walked off with all my cash. I am not afraid to venture out, but don't want to waste time, so an easy hotel might not be bad. 4 hours driving for cheaper sex is not worth it to me.
