Cars really expensive for what they get
How do these gals even afford a new Camry, they really get jobbed here, the cheapest model is $42, 000 USD. Hell, in the US you could easily buy a nice Lexus or BMW for that price. And even people who make much more than a decent earning Thai can't really afford one
Many of them do not really own the car per se. You would be surprised how many foreigners who bought homes in BKK and keep a car and visit couple of times a year. Most are married and have a gf in BKK. The GF gets to use the car as well as the condo or house free. I have met two girls who had cars. One I met of all the places beergarten. Both were very nice not demanding money and they took me all over the place. Ofcourse I bought them gifts and had a good time. These girls told me they are thoroughly bored and need sex. I believe they are also trying to line up potential sugar daddies in case the first one gets rid of her.
One of the girls was from chiang Mai. She told me she moved to BKK when she was 18 in search of work and met a German guy and ever since she has been his GF. He comes once in a while for business and expects her to pick him up at the airport. So she learned how to drive. I met her when she was 25 and she must have been a very pretty girl at that age. She told me her BF supports her and her family. She said only problem is she has to be discreet because the guy has her watched. So we spent our time in the room mostly except for night outings. Could not take the car anywhere because she said if there was a accident it will be very hard to explain.
Canadian Kills Thai Rival in Deadly Love Triangle.
A 42-year-old Canadian engineer stabbed a 59-year-old Thai lawyer 50 times after he caught him with his live-in Thai girlfriend. The Canadian had returned unexpectedly from an overseas business trip, and walked in on the illicit lovers in his Bangkok home.
BANGKOK – November 10, 2012 [PDN]: A report of a man being fatally stabbed was received by the Kannayao police station in Bangkok. A police team rushed to inspect the scene. The incident occurred in a house at 418/63 Harbetia village, Tambon west Sarmwa, Amphur Klong Sarmwa.
At the scene, police found the victim's body in a second-floor room of the house. He had been stabbed more than 50 times all over his body. He was identified as Mr. Komsan Aksornchart, age 59, occupation lawyer.
The man who killed him was identified as Mr. Macos Beyond, age 42, a Canadian engineer. He was in the house and gave the knife to police and surrendered himself without escaping. Also in the house was the suspect's girlfriend, identified as Ms. Patcharaporn Pinorn, age 42.
During questioning, police discovered that Mr. Macos and his girlfriend had lived together for 6 years in the house, which he had bought to live with Ms. Patcharaporn. But Mr. Macos seldom stayed in the house because he often had to travel abroad.
Meanwhile, Ms. Patcharaporn was studying for a master's degree at Ramkhamhaeng University, where she became acquainted with the Thai lawyer. On the day of the stabbing, Mr. Macos had flown back from abroad unexpectedly without telling Ms. Patcharaporn beforehand.
When he arrived at the door of his house, he saw Ms. Patcharaporn was together with the lawyer, so they got into a violent quarrel. Then Mr. Macos used the knife to stab the lawyer until he died.
For the cause of the murder, the officers assumed that it came from jealousy. When Mr. Macos saw his girlfriend with other man, he got angry and made trouble. Initially, the police restrained Mr. Macos and charged him in an accusation of killing another person intentionally, and then brought him to the police station to do the master plan of confessing and put him into jail.
