The name is "After One" and it is owned by the guy who owns Clasico. It is part of the Sosua Bay Resort and it is very nice. Only a minute walk from Clasico and basically caters to the "after Clasico crowd" and some of the more adventurous from the resort.
Great sound system and much classier than anything nearby.Lots of marble in the lobby and grand staircase.
Too bad for the motoconchos. I doubt anyone will go to the casino except for the gamblers. Not me- I like a sure thing.
On the lighter side......A pregnant little chica attached herself to me like a dog in heat. I couldn't shake her off no matter what I did-even stuck to me while another chica was doing the grind into my groin! I had to give her cien for a beer and I escaped.
I have not been to DR in a couple of years. I heard discos were closed for easter. I have some miles to used and only have 3 night free. DR is a short getaway from NYC. I will be leaving tomorrow going into Santiago for the pp flight were over night for my miles.
Can someone pm me about a small motel that I can get when I get there tomorrow. I used to stay at the sosua place, but heard John closed it. I am in Rio when I monger now, but boy do I miss the good old BC days it can't be as bad as guys say eventhought I have not been there in years. A 2am shutdown wow how things change.
Well there are two new club's just opened some days ago.
One is called "After One" and as told before from ScubaBum. Its owned by the Italian Boss from Merengue/Classico. And its open after one.
The other one Ehunter is telling about is "Herkules" / "Dancing Queen". This one is near High Carribean on the way to Playa Chiquita. Its managed by a German Boss from Hotel Orchidee. This one as well is open after one.
So right now expect the Playa Chiquita Casino Disco, there are 3 Discos or Clubs open after the rest has to close.
After One is just in the center and nearby the main scene. Second one is more for Couples to have a stress free and relaxing evening and of course for Gringas doing the manhunter business. The Playa Chiquita is just to fare and there you have to buy 200 or so Peso for entrance and only Gringos.
So thats all I can say about.

Has anyone stayed at the voramar hotel in Sosua? Would this be a good spot for me to stay at? Looking for some local, non pro talent, I speak fluent Spanish, no problem there, I will appreciate any advice on the best, most comfortable, chica friendly place in Sosua
Does anyone know about this Voramar Hotel in Sosua? is it a good spot for a single man to stay looking for fun.

How is the Voramar? it seems a bit far from the action, I dont mind taking motoconcho into town, I speak fluent Spanish and also dont mind venturing over to the native side of town, any ideas about this? I am looking for some local, non pros..

As usual, Scuba, you are too funny. Seriously, though, I met a pregnant chica--divorced--at a Constitution Day picnic in Costambar. She was REALLY cute, and treated me as her guest at the church picnic. As the bus planned to depart, I asked her to stay at the beach. She demurred, as she did not have the DR$34 for cab fare. Well, US$1 (DR$34) was a small price to pay to good company, even if we did not do any sporting activity.

If you are talking about a young chica who looks just barely about 4-5 months preggo, I think I actually made the mistake of going with this Chica a couple of weeks ago - and then she wouldn't even fuck me, just gave me a BJ. On the positive side, I only paid her 700. But the next day, She tried to latch onto me again. I finally had to yell at her to get the fuck away from me because I didn't ever want to see her again - since she wouldn't fuck. So then she tells me she'll fuck me now, after she wouldn't the day before. I told her that if she didn't get lost, I'd beat the shit out of her (which I NEVER actually would have done - but the threat was for effect). She got the message at that point.

Well Voramar is nice so fare and you will get in contact with mongers really fast. The management is speaking well English and will help you in any point. Is was staying there at my beginning Sosua visits.
What I didn't like about the hotel is, that the management just looking for money. The prices are to high. They have a bar which is open 24 hours, but check the bills, every day, as many people find out, that there sometimes more drinks on it, that you have ordered. The other problem is, that sometimes in the night you get noises from the bar, as people having party. The rooms didn't have any fridge, so all the time you like to have a cold drink you have to get it from the bar, which I didn't like.
The Hotel is at the End of nowhere, only the Casino and Disco Playa Chiquita is close by. But the Casino and its Disco I didn't like that much. But the main scene is far away so you usually need a motoconcho for going to the beach or to the discos. When there is rain, is even difficult to leave the hotel, as the main road is over flooded. So its up to you, but I would suggest a hotel in the center, like Europa, Don Antonio and so. This Hotel are chica friendly and no problem and extra costs to bring a girl with.

Stayed at the Voramar for 2 weeks in february 2008. It is an okay place to stay( very girl friendly), however each time you want to go to the beach, center... you have to take a motoconcho.
The bar is open 24/7 so in case you have a light sleep you might want to book an apartement.
Concerning other options where to stay check out the Sosua Hotel Thread which will give a list of girl friendly hotels in sosua.

I have done Boca Chica and found a lovely young one for no charge, all night long. Overall though the BC scene for me was not impressive, some older, not so good looking pros who didn't impress me at all. Is Sosua better than this, good variety? And how is the native side of town, Charamicos? I speak fluent Spanish so would love to check some non pros and chat them up over there.

I visited charamicos a few times and didn't see too many girls walking around. Most times were in the mid - afternoon. People will welcome you but you need to respect that this is not a tourist area and act accordingly.
Cabarete has an area called " callejon de la loma" just before calle principal which is very similar to charamicos but has outdoor bars (one with billards) that face the street...great way to see chicas passing by.
I was looking for this sort of thing in charamicos but didn't see it. Callejon de la loma was buzzing alot more than charamicos.

Is callejon de la loma comming from Sosua or going to Samana ?
