Coming into cabarete from sosua towards sabaneta. If you hit calle principal in cabarete you went too far.

Is it closser to Sosua or Cabarete ?

I remember one day going by taxi with a girl to buy a bikini past cabarete we turned left a bit passed the esso and we where on a rocky road . There where a few bars and shops (mostly for locals) but i notices many hot girls arround .

If you have a picture of the area it would be great . Ill be in Cabarete on the 27th of April .

I'm having a tough time deciding between Europa or New Garden Hotel, they both seem central and girl friendly. Which is cleaner and safer? I know Europa has cable TV, what about New Garden?

The New Garden certainly has cable - with a very good porno channel that's free.

I can't speak about the Europa, but my sense is that the New Garden is certainly safe and well located. On the downside, the rooms are dumpy, but they DO have an in-room safe. And at least for now, there is construction noise that starts about 8:15 in the morning.

Both hotels are safe but my choice would be New Garden.

This is 6 months old info, so I don't know about current construction, etc, but these are my impressions from last winter.

New Garden is definitely a fine establishment, very clean rooms, very clean pool (prolly best pool in Sosua), excellent management, etc. I have staid at a half dozen places in Sosua and checked out more than a dozen and New Garden was hands down the best in quality at a decent price.

I must admit didn't look at any AI's or luxury places much above the $50-60 range.

You can find cheaper accomodations in condos, most of which are satisfactory, but sometimes have annoying small problems (crappy bed, crappy internet, insufficient AC, mosquitos) you really won't know what you're getting until you get there and you may need transportation whereas New Garden is guaranteed quality and walking distance to everything.

There are slight differences in New Garden rooms: 1st floor rooms can be noisier due to pool, etc. 2nd floor rooms are slightly better in my opinion.

While I have heard people say there are better places to eat, I always liked breakfast at New Garden.

Especially if you haven't spent much time in Sosua, it's a nice place to start, if you want to save some money or be off the beaten track you can always find a condo later.

NG also has wireless internet, I never had trouble connecting, I did have trouble in some other hotels.

NG was charging $5 a night for locks for the safes, don't know if they're still up to that.

I haven't checked out Europa because I never heard anything good about it.

Stayed at Rocky's last week. Clean room, king bed, nice bathroom, hot water, maid service.... $22 a night. Some rooms have AC, some just a fan.

Plus, Internet on site for 50 pesos an hour, great breakfast and great ribs.

1/2 block walk from the "scene" and just about anything else you need. 3 minute walk to laundry place. Drop off and pick up the next day.

If you can live with the basics, and don't need luxury, its a great place.

If you walk out of Rockys and make a right, walk through the first intersection. Just down on the left is a German guy Tom who rents motorcycles. Good prices, top notch guy. Bring your own helmet!!

Just jonied looking for this girl had her once in santo domingo but I heard she was in sosua now been back three times since I first met her and can't find her. Anyone seen her? Or had her? Got to have it again. Has a big tat on her chest?

I understand the frustation; however, you do not have to threaten the girls. This sort of behavior can lead to police involvement, which you do not want. I simply tell game players that I am not interested in company. They get the message, believe me.
