Although I have not been to Rio since 2017, every so often I would think back to my three visits at 4 x 4. Yea, the rooms could definitely have used some refurbishing, but the level of service that I got there from the girls has been unparalleled. Today I just finished driving 700 miles of the Brazilian coast. I lost count of how many beaches and cities we went to and people me and my girlfriend met. I can tell you with 100% certainty though that none of those people had a remote thought or hope that some hooker club in Rio would open up soon to save their economy.

The tipping point was the fact that Rio won the rights to host the Olympics and the World Cup. It had absolutely nothing to do with the "doglets" as you call it. Olympics / World Cup and the fact that the family lost the lease on the land that Help was on, led to it being shut down.
