We can only think in one head. What difference does it make how somebody else handled a situation for themselves? It aint going to affect us any. Thats just the way that individual handled it. We can give testimony all day of how we would have handled it. But why do that? To get somebody to change to our way of thinking? All were going to do is disappoint because were going to do things acording to how we see fit in that moment.

Truth be told. There is no hard and fast rule on how to handle such instances. When it's you in the moment with a particular individual you will act, perform or handle the situation according to how you assessed the situation in THAT moment. Maybe another time you may do things differently. That reinforces the fact that where you stand in or on the issue depends on where you sit. Were already gamblers just by participating in this activity.

As far as arguing or drama is concerned, that's an issue of personal tolerance. Additionally, playing games of power with these chicas can be fun. Whats important while gambling is knowing your limitations or be prepared to deal with any consequences for your stance if things go completely south. BTW, I like some of the analogies you guys were using. Debatable but I like them.

For instance. The hit pedestrian. Yes in principle he was right, but he's dead. I get that. In Mr E's case, the situation never got to the point of serious injury or death. But we do understand the principle. Everything in Mr E's scenario was merely potentials. The pedestrian in the analogy was clearly hit and done. An extreme situation in comparison.

I also am in accord with what's the point of schooling a puta? Well it might not be soley about schooling a puta. But playing a game of chess to see who comes out on top. I am getting ready to start my second night in Sosua for the trip. I just thought I would give a brief update. It is true the latins is closed, it hasn't seemed to really affect the quantity or quality. I have noticed an increased police presence. I am not sure what they are looking for but it seems to have everybody on their best behavior, like mom and dad are watching. I do like that they are keeping the little begger kids away from the stretch and there is lots of tables and seating where the motos used to sit and wait. The current trend seems to be rumbas then head to Classico, damn Classico is over priced, 100 pesos to get in and 150 for a small presidente. I do miss the dancing and atmosphere of latins. On the positive there are plenty of beautiful ladies out. I have been happy with my 2 so far and hope to keep it that way. On a side hotel note, I booked very last minute and blindly picked hotel Europa. It's been pretty good, very good price, clean room, great atmosphere hotel bar, the wifi sucks in room but okay at the bar.

I live in NY, an expensive place to live well, which I try to do. I'm not a sport fucker - 3 different girls a day, preferring the GFE experience and don't negotiate with the girls the night before, pretty much at all. If the girl tells me as we're getting cozy at a bar what she expects, fine. I've been going to Sosua for 8+ years and am generous and word has gotten around.

The girls all talk and ones I have been with want to be with me again, and typically want to be with me my whole trip. If I'm not interested they steer their prettiest friends my way.

And let her know that if I'm happy with her, then I'll be happy to tip her. If I'm not, then we'll stick to the price she accepts. Out of 10 women, I'd say 3 perform well enough to get a tip. 3 are average and accept the agreed upon price without much argument, and I'd say 4 are average in performance or do not perform well, and argue with wanting more than what was agreed on. Now, that's just my experience and this can vary for others. In the situation where she does not accept the agreed upon price but wants more, I'll let her know the price we set. If she persists, I'll let her know that I was not that happy with her, but maybe if I see her later on I'll think about having her again. By this time, maybe 2 of the 4 will go with it and situation over. I have never repeated with a girl I've had a bad experience with. And then you'll have 2 who persist and I will generally meet her halfway. Back in late 2013 I remember being with a girl who did not perform well and we had agreed on 2,000 pesos. When I was pulling out the cash, she said 3,000 pesos. I let her know we agreed on 2,000. She gave the excuse of her rent is due the next day and she has groceries to pay. Your typical excuses. I let her know again, 2,000 is what we agreed on. She did not want to back off with the 3,000. In the end, I gave her 2,500 pesos. Did she deserve that? No. Could I have held out and remained firm on 2,000. Sure. Could I have even just thrown 1,500 at her because I wasn't happy? Yes, but I decided it just wasn't worth the extra effort for what is really a small amount (to me. Others may feel differently). I have never been in a situation where the cops are called or she has threatened to call the police or someone else she knows.

What you said does make sense. And yes, we will do as we see fit in that situation. But the advice given was reasonable. The way I look at it (and it's just my opinion). This is not my country. I am not the authority. Doesn't matter if I am paying someone for a service. I have traveled to many countries, and seen a lot in my life. As I am sure that many of you have as well. If there's one thing I have learned in these situations, you're best off by giving the extra money and not taking a chance. Look, I am all about agreements. I am from the United States. Over here if a provider does not deliver on service, I can easily dispute it. But in another country, it's just different. We all hope we don't get taken advantage of, and in many situations the girls will keep their word. But this is a third world country, incomes are low, there is corruption with what are "law enforcement" agencies, and I'm just a visitor. Why would I want to take a chance? There are consequences in these situations. I have the choice of remaining firm and seeing where it goes, or simply giving the extra money and let the situation be over with. There is one choice that carries more risk than the other. In many third world countries, I have seen the choice of not giving in. Lead to some devastating consequences for others. We are all wanting to enjoy this hobby, but there are dangers with it as well. And I believe that if let's say I have to deal with the police at some stage, I'm likely going to be spending more money in the end with just trying to get out of a situation I know could have been avoided. I get that she didn't stick to the agreement. But is it really worth risking? For $7, or $0. 50? Again. I'm not a Dominican citizen, I'm not a Dominican resident, I'm just a visitor. By trying to show that I'm in command, getting into a physical altercation with another individual, in a country where I'm just a visitor. You not only risk being in a bad situation, but these types of things tend to have ripple effects. I can't control every situation and who knows how any situation will really end. But I prefer to minimize my risk of dealing with a potentially bad situation. I'm not going to get into a physical altercation with a woman, in any country. Just because I think I'm the boss and in control because I have the money and you don't screw me over by breaking an agreement, when I'm a visitor in your country. I believe that type of mindset. Will come back to hurt a person. Maybe not in DR, maybe not in the immediate term. But I know there are limits in testing locals in other countries.

I hope no matter what route a person takes, everyone remains safe and we continue to enjoy this hobby for as long as possible. My two cents.

Is it about the principle or is it about the amount? Suppose the issue here was over 300 us dollars? Would the majority of girls on drugs and carrying knives, razors stop you from arguing with said chica? Or would you pay the money to avoid being sliced? Besides what does the majority of girls fitting that description have to do with the one in front of you? Whats important is, if the girl in front of you is carrying, not what the majority of girls are carrying. Suppose that resistance leads to a situation where an individual is harmed physically. It's definitely not unheard of, and again. When you're in a country where you're just a visitor, and especially a third world country with elements of corruption that exist in daily life. It can happen. If more people behave like that, it can lead to more locals believing that visitors are disrespecting their country. I mean. Twisting her wrists, throwing her on the bed and pinning her down, and telling her what she's going to get paid. Over that type of an amount, what good really comes out of that? One time I was sitting at one of the bars in Sosua where an expat who had been there for some time expressed concerns about how men visiting Sosua are starting to have the tendency of thinking they are ones in charge and keep forgetting that this isn't their country and how such behavior will eventually put others at risk because of the perceived perception and he had given some examples of incidents in town, things I cannot verify but have no reason to doubt. It was an interesting discussion. So while we are all responsible for our choices, and should recognize that there are consequences for those choices. That decision could impact the way others get treated. I mean. With all due respect, but what is there to feel proud about the fact that you threw a woman and displayed your physical dominance and saving 300 pesos? 300 pesos? But you know that it could have been a bad situation, and the more people do this. The more resistance there will be on the other side, we are not in charge in a country that is not ours and history shows that such behavior will only have bad consequences. Hey, apparently she broke her agreement and she was not honest. But 1800 pesos was agreed on. I always try to negotiate the number of pops rather than assume something is the way it is just because it's the typical norm for TLN. If that was not agreed to or confirmed at least, who is really right in that situation? Why not just give that and let the situation be over with? In the end, she would get paid the figure that was mentioned and it's just a case of she didn't perform well and wasn't honest. But by just giving her what you feel she should get instead (an amount which was never mentioned). How is that right? Two wrongs don't make a right. We all face situations where we have good experiences and bad experiences. Hopefully more people have good than bad, but we should all have some common sense and recognize our boundaries and the consequences your decisions can have not only for yourself. But potentially for others as well. And once again, I hope everyone has a safe experience in the DR. This site has been incredibly useful to me. I have found Mr. E's posts on his experiences to be among the most detailed and helpful.

I was in sosua a couple weeks ago and meet some guys from the states. Their first time there. One of them asked me how to handle out of control chicas. He said something about agreeing tln overnight for $100. But when it was time to leave she started going pysco and started throwing shit in the room. Obivisouly the story I got don't really make any sense. Who the fuck pays $100 tln then the chicas asks for $50 more? Anyway he said he threw her the $50 and got her out. He asked what was the right thing to do since he said he felt played giving her the extra $50. I said you did the best thing possible. Give that punta the money and get her the fuck out. That $50 aint worth the trouble if the cops come etc. That was the best thing possible. Don't let $50 or any reasonable amount of money ruin your vacation. Just pay and move onto the next. On a side note, been going to sosua for 3 years 4 times a year and never once have I had a chica try to scam me or rob me for more money. I always agree on a price before I leave with her. Like other members say, its about how you treat the girl.
