Biden put the disastrous mask mandate and 6 ft spacing mandate into law. Biden also closed schools and businesses and destroyed the great economy of Trump. A pandemic is serious and many died. Trump saved millions of lives with the vaccines. Biden destroyed lives and destroyed the education for kids with closing the schools. We have endured the pandemic but the school grades of kids nationwide has dropped to historic lows thanks to online schooling mandated by Biden. Red states are overcoming this but the liberal states are getting worse. Those are the facts whether you like them or not. This was way over the top and, as Wiseman Larry Summers said, would have increased inflationary pressures. That level of stimulus wasn't called for given the economy and jobs were recovering nicely.
January, February, March, 2021 - The Covid virus had been in the USA for a year. GDP in the USA actually grew during that year! It was up 0. 5%! Only a handful of developed nations had GDP growth during the 12 months. YoY consumer price inflation was well controlled at 1. 4% when Trump left office and the Republicans lost control of the Senate. The economy was in good shape.
