You can go to discos at Old Town area in Vilnius. If you are a kool guy, you can meet very nice ladies. Also Europe Mall is a great place to hang out and meet local ladies who are looking for foreigners in Vilnius. But don't try Acropolis.

I have been living in Vilnius for almost 5 years now. Some comments:

- for a young girl being seen with a foreigner is almost a shame (we are talking about guys older than 35) ; things have changed much since 2004-5; in any case, there are still some "regular" girls willing to meet if dinner and / or drinks are involved and for whatever reason they need to practice the guy's language; I could give a couple of very specific examples but it might be that the guys in question could be identified and we do not want anyone to get upset here. ; in any case, the "we are just friends" thing will be repeated ad nauseam;

- accordingly, clubs for the younger crew tend to be a waste of time unless you are just looking for some dancing and paying for drinks; those clubs are mainly Paparazzi, Pantera and Buddha Disco 311;

- Salento is full of exchange students, village kids and the occasional semi-pro who will ask for some 500 litas for one hour and 700 litas for 2 hours; most of those semi-pro can be found on pazintysxxx (see below) ;

- Pabo Latino still works if you are interested in the 27-35 why / o range; do not expect super quality but divorcees with 1-2 small kids in many cases;

- Stotis / train station area: avoid it like the plague;

- skelbiu and similar classified ad sites: mostly erotic massages and fake picture rip offs;

- pazintysxxx: it takes time, expect the €120 mark very often (for one hour) and not the quality that could be found 3-4 years ago; best times of the year for the search, June and September (students from outside Vilnius come to the city to study in September and some of them stay for the summer; if they do not find any job they might be approachable)

Have fun in any case. And if you do not get laid, at least you can comfort yourself with the "eye candy" bullshit.

I have been thinking about visiting the Baltics, but after hearing posts like yours, I will stick to Ukraine where the culture is different.

It does NOT depend on the foreigner any longer. I used to come here when Prospekto was still Prospekto and then it was a totally different story.

They are not racist as such but they have a huge inferiority complex that tends to be projected on foreigners. I am European and I live far much better than most locals. They do not like that (which is somehow understandable) but it has nothing to do with race.

It will depend much on the type of girl you are looking for, the languages you speak and the amount of cash and time you are willing to invest in the project. Nothing new. In any case I reckon it is easier in Riga and Vilnius than in Tallinn.

Riga is a rip off city if you move exclusively in pommie / tourist / expat populated areas. I have met many nice easy going Latvia girls and also pure walking scams. In any case, keep in mind that they are protestant which means that they are less concerned with what other people might think of them and they act accordingly. Catholic Lithuanians put make on even to go to the supermarket to buy toilet paper not for fashion's sake but because they might be seen by people they know. Also keep in mind that in Riga 40% of the population is Russsian. In Vilnius only 12-13.

I would not say that Lithuanian girls are into charity. At least not in Vilnius. Purses are mostly decorative in all Eastern Europe so expect paying for all: dinner, drinks, club entrance fee, etc. And that does not mean that you will score. For the average Eastern European woman (18-118 why / o) a man is a man if he offers security and that means either a relationship or bank notes. You choose the alternative you prefer.
