Looks like both sides may be right.

I received an sms from Vicki of the day shift (who I had had my Friday afternoon session with) and she said everything was fine.

But I have yet to hear from the girl who works on the evening shift, so it's highly possible that the evening shift was busted but that the place remains open. When the place was raided last year, the place was shut down for a few weeks, but nothing happened to the day shift girls other than a forced vacation.

The lack of making the proper payoffs is certainly a possibility. But according to a male bule source of mine (who lives in Jakarta but to the best of my knowledge is not a member of this board), last year's bust resulted from one of the working girls being interviewed on TV and disclosing where she worked; the publicity more-or-less forced the authorities to move in on the place.

Let's hope that the Maribaya bust is not a harbinger of things to come, since I hope to be mongering again during the next few days!

Hey Everybody,

Can anyone give me some info on Solo. I will be in Jakarta for 3 days attending the Furnicraft show. Staying at the Borobudur Hotel.

Then I will be in Solo staying at the Lor-in HOtel for 6 days. Then back to the Sheraton at the Jkt airport.

Any information about hot girls, and hotels would be greatly appreaciated. This is my first trip.

Solo is pretty dead, however there are usually a couple of girls hanging around the lobby area and the downstairs bar at the Lor-in Hotel in the evenings. But you have to be VERY discreet here, Solo is a hotbed of Muslim fundamentalism, nothing like Jakarta.

The massage place at the Lor-in Hotel will send girls to your room for an in-room massage. The girl who came to my room was only about 22 and quite pretty. Interestingly, she told me point-blank that she would never provide any extras for cash, as she's a "good girl," but that she would be happy to provide extras for a non-cash gift such as Chanel No. 5 perfume. So bring some perfume with you!

There's a karaoke place about 1 1/2 kms closer to town on the same road as the Lor-in Hotel, if you're into that sort of thing. I couldn't find any MPs on my own, maybe someone can point you in the right direction.

I do have one phone number, for a girl who's an amateur with a regular day-time job, but my problem is that you only have two posts, so I don't want to risk compromising her. Sorry!

In Jakarta, the Borobodur Hotel is fairly close to the numerous places in Kota, the northern part of town, as well as the Atrium Mall and Plaza Indonesia, two good places for mall-hunting, and you're within 15 minutes (non-rush hour) of the BATS bar at Shangri-La Hotel and the Tiga Puluh Bar of Le Meridien Hotel. Take Blue Bird Taxis, they are reasonably-priced, safe and plentiful. RTFF!!!

I was wondering if anyone knows a reliable source of Indian sidenafil Kamagra, Penegra, etc. in Jakarta? What is the price? It's for...errr...a friend, that's it, my friend Pete, who needs a pick-me-up when he overindulges in the amber nectar... :-)

Spearsman, keep in mind the prices of Chanel. One of my friends requested a bottle of Chanel Chance perfume, which I managed to pick up in duty free for $60 for the smallest bottle. In the US, I see it for $80.

Back in the early '90s when I lived in Jkt, visited Solo once a month for business and had a girl every night. You need unfortunately to have someone local take you to the local cathouse....in those days it was not cheap, about Rp 200K for overnight but exchange rate was 2000 so worked out to be $100 per night.
