At first I booked the other main area, I believe, near the port. Then after looking at pros and cons (intended!) I went with makati. 1) Accommodation. Nightly for up to 7 days (as in your 4 nights) pays more per night. 7-27 nights pays a bit less per night. And 28+ nights typically pays even less per night (monthly, which can be as much as 40% less per night than nightly). Non-aircon Pensionnes can be had for as little as $25, and to find them you might have to walk around the area or chat with your hotel guard or front desk (not always listed online).

In the Robinson's area are quite a number of hotels within a 2-7 minute walk: Riviera Mansion, City-State, Rothman, Go hotel, Eurotel, Las Palmas, Executive Plaza, Palm Hotel, Tropicana Suites, and Hotel Kimberly, among others. Condos nearby include Birch Tower, Adriatico Grand, and Malate Bayview Mansion among others available on airbnb.

2) Chicas. Its a plethora of FL in the area. LA Cafe (now called Midnight Haven, Salas St corner Adriatico) is a 3 minute walk from Robinson's. 100+ FL hanging about weeknights, and closer to 200 on weekends. Live band upstairs (p100 entrance). Has pool tables and food / drink. Girls run from hot to not, and often ask for a high initial amount. Be prepared for sticker shock, an prices here and everywhere went up after covid. OTOH maybe you find a gem for a buck when a girl needs a quick score. Tell 'them Westy sent you.

G-Point bar is has about a dozen older gals, located on P Faura St next to a 7-11 (7-11 is Faura corner Adriatico). No idea prices.

Robinson's Place mall. Reports of girls available on the steps outside the mall at the corner of Adriatico / Pedro Gil, evenings. Usually about half a dozen girls, mid-30's, meh. No idea prices.

Of interest in the area is Cowboy Grill bar, a live band place (not a girl pickup place). Mabini corner Arquiza St. Food, drink, different band on the stage (sometimes 2) nightly. Good for taking a date.

Keep in mind that on any of your nights, you can always taxi from one area to the other (Malate to Makati, or vice versa). If you are not excited by LA Cafe, just taxi to Burgos. Or skip that and get online.

AC gogo girls would probably represent a higher percentage of provincial girls, who are often recruited from the bar's mamasan's home province. Makati girls are typically big city girls, and more hardened / sophisticated.

Your post indicates you are in the opposite situation as the MaryHinge (you have money). If money is not an object, you can pick most any hottie in a Burgos gogo girl, offer her a fat tip to stay as long as you want in the morning for unlimited pops. Remember that it's possible to be penny wise but pound foolish. Makati has many accommodation options for $50 and thousands of girls available for 3/5 k for ST / LT. It also has the fringe benefits of having lots of other things to do and transport options or places to easily meet girls. I can see Miss Mary allegedly saving a few bucks and being stuck in some shit hole accommodation, miles from anywhere, with nothing to do and waiting hours for girls to find him.

Remember that the absolute cheapest option for a newbie foreigner is actually on P Burgos: a streetwalker and ST hotel combo meal for less than 2500.

I've notice that people that talk about casas here are talking about some of the old bars like red rooster, red garter, the bistro and all those places, but those are just bars. Those places went underground and eventually disappeared around covid. Where the girls lived is the casa, and that is how the bars were eventually referred to as casas as the girls lived and worked there. The casas that still remain is mostly (at least the current ones I know of) online. The physical place (dorm) is still there, but you don't go to them now, they go to you. I do believe that there are still traditional casas available, however I personally have not been to one in a while now as it is just to convenient to just order delivery.

The vast majority of 'my' students live in dorms. In fact, those still at home can be a drama to organise a time to meet and there are often conditions to ensure that mom doesn't find out.
