I'm starting to doubt I'll ever return. If I do, I'll cough up the cash for business class.

From North America, Colombia is just such an easy trip.

I'm about three weeks away from spending a week in Medellin. I've already started an exercise regimen, low carb diet to shed a few pounds, and will get the obligatory haircut + some new clothes a week before the trip.

I decided to pay for tinder plus and set my location to Medellin for some pre-trip scoping out. Got to love the age of the super information highway!

Competition for local non-pro girls is VERY tough. Being foreigner is not (anymore) the decisive factor (as it can be in Philippines, Thailand, etc.)

I don't know why but every visit I have made to Energy (over by the stadium) over the past now 5 years has given me a lot of fun and this visit was no exception.

1. In town for a couple months. Pick up culture isn't as big in MDE as in the USA They like to know it's more than a fuck.

2. Not staying or hanging out in Poblado. Non-pros don't want to be confused for being a pro.

3. Speak Spanish (obvious).

4. Look like George Clooney (obvious).

For most guys in town for a week or so of fun, trying to bed non-pros isn't likely worth the time and effort.

FWIW, IMO Cali is a better place for pursing non-pros than MDE. Not saying it's as easy as in the USA, just easier than MDE.

I would say non-pros are easier than the US. But from personal anecdotal experience, non pros are probably the hardest in Medellin when compared to other cities in Colombia like Bogota and Cartagena. If you're only in Medellin for a week, I wouldn't put too much effort into non pros. There's plenty of affordable pro and semi-pro action to be had. And I agree with what black page said "Competition for local non-pro girls is VERY tough". You're competing against good looking young colombians who can dance, where dance is a big part of the culture.

Though there was no obvious pandering to tourists where I visited (I never made it down to Poblado), I found it incredibly easy to get what I sought. Thanks to the basic info provided on this forum, it was no harder to find a brothel in Medellin than in Berlin (where I do speak the language on a basic level, and understand the culture and transport system). It was simple as fuck. The most surprising thing to me was the kindness and general civility of the Paisas, who seemed to be ready to please, even if they were just serving you a cup of coffee or a two-pack of Sildenafil over the pharmacy counter. The brothels I visited were clearly oriented to locals and had no English speaking staff that I could discern. But, when the lineup came in the Casas, nobody grimaced at the sight of the really tall, pale Yangqui who didn't share a common language with them. Rather, there were groans of disappointment when my choice was made. Sure, there wasn't "in your face" prostitution. The Paisas seem to have a sensible understanding of "keeping it private" and no surprise that many of the casas were in decent residential neighborhoods.

Make no mistake: I went to MDE to get laid and I popped as much as my body allowed. But, I also left with a newfound respect for the Paisas, who are a really nice bunch, and worth learning Spanish for.

Sure, I realize that some people are the most helpless of individuals and need somebody to drive them to an FKK where they will be presented a buffet of women to choose from with little thought, effort or risk on their part. I am not one of those people. I am sure many people interested in mongering in Colombia are similarly capable of doing something easy as getting laid.

Kudos to you. I was recently in El Salvador and the Latin people there, like Colombia couldn't be more friendly and helpful. I head to Colombia in early December when the have the festival of lights but I stay at the mansion where it's more to my liking. But I also enjoy the raunchy strip clubs on Calle 53 and especially La Mayorista on the weekends where the salsa is blasting from the bars and the street is brimming w / pussy for rent. Thanks for the advice. 95% of the responses have been from pros in Medellin or Cartagena (depending on where I set my location in Tinder plus). Only two normal women in Medellin liked me back, and only one has taken the time to properly talk to me. She's a 5 at best and I suspect only interested in practicing her English. Now attitude on Tinder in general seems to be much better from the Medellin pros / semi-pros than from the ones in Cartagena. I suspect this is a portent of things to come. A solo traveler with no Spanish skill would most likely find himself disappointed in Medellin. But I also agree with Eszpresszo's assessment that Paisas "keeping it private" attitude. And for that exact reason, Medellin is not as good for Newbies or solo traveller with no Spanish skill and only limited time than some other Latin American Cities frequently discussed here. Finding the locations of casas or clubs is one thing, being able to communicate with the chicas and open her up to enjoy her time with you is quite another.

I did notice a lot of familiar facebook fotos tho. When I noticed a pic with a phone number, I just swipe left. In any case, the lag time between responses kinda kills it for me. Typically after a few lines back and forth, either they offer their number for Whatsapp, or I ask for it. Only one chica in Medellin discussed pricing through tinder and she was super brief and business like. In fact her only message was pricing: 60 k for a half hour, 120 k for an hour, out-call. I'm not up for it. The Cartagena chicas were all business and wanted to get right to pricing.

I'm still chatting regularly with the masseuse chica. I'm almost certain she drops off her kid to school in the morning then goes to work in one of the massage parlors.
