Was in Phuket Town from 9. 10 Mar. Alone and bored. So hit Phoon Phon. Was there at about 5+. Well. All empty. No one approach me. So I walked Soi 9, 7, and stop at 5. Nothing eventful.

Crossing the road heading back to Ocean Shopping. A gal smile at me. Smiled back. Decided we go "walk walk" and I popped th question. B500. Room on my own at B200. Darked skin petit gal. Can't recall her name. Haven't even striped. Start her story of mum sick in hospital. Rush rush. WTF. So get it over and done with. Not a bad looker actually. But service sucks.

I stayed in 4 different places in 11 nights from the 13th of Feb, all at Patong Beach. First was Sunset Beach hotel for 3 nights. It was a package deal with my flight. I think cost is about 3000 bt a night. They do charge a joiner fee of 500 bt. Nice enough place with a pool but too far away from bangla. They do have a courtesy bus though. Next was Expat for 3 nights. Would have stayed longer but had no rooms available. For 1650 bt for a standard room and pool I think it is good value. Close to Bangla.

I then stayed at Summer Breeze. I had booked for 5 nights but I found out the pool was closed and I missed being in a bigger room. I think the cost is about 1600 bt. Good value. I came across Safari beach hotel. So I booked into there for the remaining 4 nights. There was a special on. 2650 bt per night. No joiner fee and very close to bangla. About 50-100 metres. There is a pool but it is right next to the restraunt, so not all that private. But the fact that Safari is near bangla, no joiner fee and I had a bigger room I recommend this place the most. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

This being my first time I tried out all sorts of p4p. I tried a massage girl on the street, the ones that scream out at you massaaaage. LOL There are some really cute girls there with nice bodies. The one I chose was 22 yo and got a massage and FS for 2000bt.

The go go scene was fun and there are nice looking girls at Rock hard and Roxy. But wow they ask for too much I think.

LD 180-200 bt

BF 600 bt

ST 2000 bt

LT 4000 bt

No matter how hard I tried they did not budge on these prices. I took a couple of girls from Rock Hard early in my trip in the day time, only because I was so excited about being in Phuket and was not thinking with my brain at all.

I tended to hang out more at the beer bars and found some nice girls there. Maybe not stunners but they were nice and when I took them out of the bar I had a lot of fun with them. They would take me somewhere to eat and then hit a disco. Then back to hotel for boom boom.

LD 170-180 bt

BF depends on time of night. Early was 500 later 300

ST 1500

LT all girls I took were 2000 bt. 1 girl quoted me 3000 bt. But she was very hot and she new it. Tall.

I found a girl at The honky Tonk bar who I liked. Before midnight BF 1000bt.

After midnight 500 bt. I didn't bother going back.

I found that the girls know exactly how good looking they are and so they charge accordingly. I would appreciate any comments or criticism to help me more with my next trip. Phuket is expensive. I would suggest that it may be better to break the trip up by going to different places. Like Pattaya or Bangkok or even Koh Samui. I certainly enjoyed myself enough to go back.

[/QUOTE]First off, if you don't already, learn to speak some Thai (even a little helps a lot). Also, learn how to negotiate better prices for service (e.g., be prepared to say "no thanks" with a smile, as that almost always lowers the price). Sounds like you did OK for Patong, though, except for maybe the massage girls.

Consider traveling around the country to towns away from the main tourist areas. Read other ISG sections, make a plan, and PM members who give good advice. You'll finder cheaper hotels, cheaper and tastier food, and lots of ladies for a lot less money than in Patong.

And, if you want to be near a beach, consider Hua Hin as it's cheaper than Samui, and it's easy to get back to Bangkok.

A very good report farm Boy. I agree about Phuket being pricey in all aspects. But if you want a compromise of beach, girls and reasonable prices I'll recommend Lamai on Ko Samui. At least it worked out very well for me and hopefully I'll return there in May.

I have been reading a fair bit on the Patong scene but need to know were to go for a day time quickie , but somewhere that offers a choice of ladies with full service. I read about Cristine massage but is there anywhere close to Patong where there is a fish bowl that offers just sex as I am not that fussed about the soapy part. Cristens seems a bit pricy for a quicky which I think is 3000 TB.

I will pass Phuket in a few weeks, heading for the islands too meet up with a group of people. Guess I can spend 3-4 hours around mid day doing some "unofficial" p4p before it's time to move on. I'd really like a soapy with a really good-looking girl. What's my best option? Is it Christines?

I might be better of using a hotel room over the day. Less mess to handle the luggage. I will have several suitcases.

I agree Soapy massages like Christin's are overpriced and the performance can be spotty. There are better options. You would probably like the Oil massage better. See NicFrenchys excellent account attached. Oil massages can be found throughout Patong in small shops (4-10 girls vs Christins 100+ girl factories). Starting from Bangla, go south on Second road and they can be found directly on this street and in the small sois to the right. Too many to count.

I was there in Feb and found it to be overpriced and very mechanical. I think I will try the places south of Bangla Road and the soi's on the right as recommended . A hot shower and a oil massage with the right girl could be just as good as a soapy in this case.

Recently I visited Phuket for my 6th time in 3 years. This trip was a 4 day jaunt just to blow out the cob webs, so to speak.

This time however was the first time i have visited the many new bars under the boxing stadium at the back of the jungceylon shopping mall.

This area although brand new is pretty much deserted as far as punters go.
There are many girls available, some very beautiful and quite desperate for customers.

Barfine here is 300bt, cheaper than bangla's usual 500bt.
LT is between 1500 to 2000bt. ST is not something i usually go for but most girls told me that the price is 1000 to 1500 bt.

The only thing i did not like was the loud booming music pumped through the bars, it did make communication difficult at times.

Bangla itself did seem rather quiet this time, I did get the feeling that many of the girls are becoming choosy, pretty much just trying to scam a few lady drinks before heading up to the disco's or the streets to find younger men who they naturally prefer.

Another ploy i discovered this time is the amount of younger guys that wait till the bars close and then move in and negotiate with the girls as they walk home via many smaller streets. This negates the barfine and having to buy LD through the night. Basically this tactic erodes the "fun atmospere" at the bars and gives the girls a "who cares" attitude because they can find easy pickings after work.

As a regular visitor, this time i was aware of the lack of enthusiasm from many of the girls in Bangla compared to other times. As a solo traveller this time i could sit in many bars with 4 to 6 girls and be lucky to be spoken to by any of them.
I did ask some of my regulars why this is occuring, like am i to old ( 44 ) or become uglier in the last year or so. Their answer was that they think that because Phuket is now attracting a more younger crowd that it is easier to get the same money from younger guys who finish much more quickly.

Perhaps i am just tired of the scene here, more likely though is the scene here has changed with the stream of budget airlines now coming in, bringing with them a different type of traveller than has been here in the past.

The new bars under the boxing stadium are recommended at this stage and perhaps give me hope for the scene in Patong.

You are so right Fon Tok I did burn cash. I knew I was at the time but felt helpless to do anything about it. I guess I can put it down to inexperience. No matter how much research and planning you do (or think you do) you just cant buy experience. So I will be much better prepared for next time. Teamsatan, thanks for the feedback, to be honest it's not just Phuket. I have been to 3 diffirent countries last year most famous for the hobby and comparing to previous few years I see clearly that the monger crowd is getting younger and younger. Even in Bangkok lasy May I noticed this (to be honest though Phuket perhaps always had a younger crowd - I recall from two years ago).

I think younger guys in the west are waking up to the fact that they don't need to jump through so many hoops and bend over backwards for the western prima-donnas any more... !? The save up for a fantasy trip....

Things seem more crowded together when I would have expected the weak economy to have thinned them out. Good for them but the prices are near identical to 2005 in baht, when it has strengthened against the dollar 20%. I believe that means there is some jerry-mandering being done at the top – big surprise.
I have had a wide range of experiences at the amps in the last few days. Anywhere from no extras no way to downright aggressive give it to me now! I have to admit it does keep things exciting. As another monger reported there is a new game going on called “I charge 3000 baht”. When I heard that one I laughed out loud and we settled for 1100, then pitched her an extra 100 for the good creative effort.
Had a morning session with Nan, the cutest little massage girl in Phuket. Well, she was yesterday anyhow. The parlor she is at is legit and is not setup for extras with only curtain dividers. Not a problem, she whispers to me that she can come to my hotel for a massage appointment tonight. Oh hell yeah, 9 pm sharp. It is a very cool technique as it works out. At 9 I get a call from the front desk asking if I want them to send her up and up she comes complete with her little massage bag and her uniform shirt on. Little did she know I popped a Viagra at 8 pm and there was a full size fence post waiting for her. So about an hour later she leaves walking like a cowgirl. Gave her 1200 for a job well done without even showing it to her, just stuffed it in her pocket and all she said was thanks. Good grief these Thai girls are so cute when well behaved and such a pain when not. Somewhat like all women now that I consider it........LDP
