Hi,
Would be staying in Tim Boutique hote.
The forum doesn't have specific mention of this hotel being GF friendly.
Can someone please clarify this and any other suggestions for the hotel locations and the dos / donts nearby this hotel.
Thanks in advance
Can you recommend a decent guest house in Pattaya? I'm looking for a place that is.
- in a quiet area (no noisy bars nearby)
- clean.
- reasonably central (South or Central Pattaya)
Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance
That hotel is well known to be GF and has great reviews. As far as do's and dont's? Just check in and explore the Soi's, Beach Rd., Walking Street, and 2nd. Road. You will learn more walking around and experiencing the area yourself.

Thanks in advance
From memory my el cheapo room had floor to ceiling mirrors while my associate's room had a jacuzzi that was big enough for three people.
There is also an in-house gogo downstairs
I hope this answers your question.
Thanks a bunch MrE, will certainly make a bee-line to Bliss Lounge to try it out.
By the way, I have just reserved my room (via Internet) at Jasmine Hotel (near WS) from 14-17 March 2012. Any latest updates whether the place lives up to the glorious reviews posted in TripAdvisors?
Would appreciate some feedback from the local experts as I do not want any surprises.
Cheers.

PS, I have just reserved my room at Jasmine Hotel (near WS) for 950 Baht / night (Superior Room) for March 2012. The webpage mentioned they have pool, free WIFI, elevator and other normal hotel amenities. Why don't you give the website a browse?
Cheers.
Hi.
Is it possible to get a room in a hotel with a pool for around 1000-1500 that is fairly central?
I usually stay within the 500-700 range but those days are over.
Added value: I am a frequenter of Bliss Lounge, had Nong service me last night adequate with a little too much teeth for my liking
But is willing to rim if thats your thing. Pat is great for this but I didn't see her there last night.
There is a beer bar at the northwest corner of Soi 13 and Second Road, and they do have a live band. But it's not obnoxious.
There are several hotels on this part of Soi 13. I don't know what your budget is, but you might check out The Haven Hotel:
http://www.thehaven-hotel.com/rooms.php
It's farther down Soi 13 toward Beach Road, on the north side of the street. Quiet small place. All the rooms are the same and even in high season the rate is only 1200 baht per night, with discounts for longer stays.
Bunky
The Haven Hotel was fully booked, unfortunately, as was all hotels on Soi 13, the manager guessed.
What are the chances of finding a decent hotel or guest house by walking around Pattaya during high season? Would you take the chance and travel to Pattaya without having a hotel reservation? Any success stories?

Stayed in Jomtian for a couple of days and during that period I simply walked around asking if they had a room free the next day (Soi 13/2) which they did and then rocked up the next day. Try leaving a nominal deposit tosecure something though. You might want to be specific however, e.g Room with a balcony or superior rather than just anything.

Best bet is get on Agoda, and you will see exactly how many hotels have open rooms in Pattaya for the dates you are interested in.
Hey all, I was hoping to get an opinion from any who are familiar with the area or on the ground in Pattaya right now. First off, I went to Pattaya last May and had the time of my life, looking to go on my second trip Jan 24-Feb 2nd. I've been reading the FF and based on a few reviews have come up with 5 options on hotels which I think match my requirements namely:
1. Girlfriendly (most important)
2. Not too expensive
3. Not too cheap (I hate ratholes, I'm on vacation, I want to be comfortable!)
4. Located near Walking Street so the prospects and myself don't have to walk far.
Anyway, my last experience was a jaunt or two to the Massage Parlours (Sabaidee and land, I know expensive, but hey, ya got to do it!) Soi 6 prob my fav for sheer eye candy and choice, and pulled a few girls from walking street both FL and GG (I try to spread the love around!) I never saw anything I like on the cocobar so never partook. On a side note, I ended up LOVING the top floor of the shopping complex on beach road as it consists of a huge buffet of different culture dishes, a bit $$ but so worth it, where else can you have Pad Thai, Curry Dishes and Pizza at the same place?
Anyway on to my list of hotels! I have 5 that I think will work as they are in the general area based on my last experience and where I ended up most of the time.
Jasmine Hotel 950b / night.
Swiss Hotel 600-800b / night.
(These 2 hotels are actually in walking street area, so will be an easy walk)
Haven Hotel 1200b 10% discount for 7 days or more ie 1080b / night.
Noble Place 790b / night.
Sawadee Sunshine 780-880b / night w / free breakfast.
These 3 hotels are between walking street and Soi 6 and close to the shopping center.
Anyway, I also realize I came during low season last time and everyone suggested that next time to book the first 2 days online and then walk around on the off time between prospects to check out any local hotels and book the remainder on what you find. Will this be a good or bad idea during the last weeks of January, I can't imagine it being that busy during that time as it will be after Christmas / New Years and before Chinese New Years. Opinions welcome!
Anyway, I was hoping for some opinions on the choices above, but feel free to offer any additional options that you have had excellant service at and don't mind the girls. Also I welcome anyones feedback on great places to eat while in Pattaya, when I'm on Vac I indulge in all the pleasures!
Also if anyone will be in Pattaya during the times listed, I'm always up for a barhop and a beer! Its getting close and I can barely breath with anticipation! I'm hoping to get to the LOS at least twice this year, its the new favorite place in the world!

Opinions welcome!
Most hotels run their high season rates through mid-February, but by the end of January the major rush has calmed a bit, but it's still pretty busy. Lots of people think this is going to be the worst year yet for tourism, so there should be plenty of hotel rooms avaiable at that time.
I've never stayed at any of the hotels you mention so I can't really give you any feedback on them, I usually stay at Siam Baywalk Residence, LK Metropole, or Areca Lodge. The first and third are mid range and the 5 you mention. $45-50US. LK Metropole is a little more expensive. If you want on Walking Street check out Galaxy Suites, it is above Heaven's Above GoGo, but be-fore-warned it is loud until around 3:00A. M, so I wouldn't plan on sleeping before that, but you can't beat the location, and price is only 995THB.
DVEight
@JohnHorner.
I've only stayed at Noble Place. Clean, functional with, as another punter puts it here, great shower pressure. Pretty good WiFi too. Fantastic location to BR and Walking Street with Villa Market across the road.
Downsides.
They lock up the reception about 6pm so you're on your own and there are no security cameras. If you are an inexperienced monger then I would not recommend this place as reception acts as a filter (for screening I'd's for age) and if you happen to accidentally pick up a LB and they won't leave without full payment. You are own your own.
Although it does avoid the walk of shame you should be cognizant that hotel staff are (usually) there to help you and it's best to avoid any altercations of a violent or lawful nature.
Also they only offer a change of towels every two days (WTF).
Safety first homie.
I would recommend the Queen Vic in Soi 6/1 for value. 800 baht gets you a pimped out room with ST a mere second away. Get a facing away from Soi 6 if you want to get some sleep.
The 'walk of shame' nowadays is if you walk alone!
At Central Park Hotel in Angeles City before you go out hunting the girls at the reception desk always tell you good luck. One night I told one of them,"Who needs luck? I have money."
