Which is exactly what we were going for.

I'll be honest though, at about 9:45, I was looking at 50 guys and about 6 girls and started to get a little worried. Boyd explained the dynamic and told me to chill. Towards the end, as the guys were leaving with girls, more girls were showing up, but the guys attending had leveled off. I ended up paying for a few taxis for drunk, dateless chicas to go home. Some guys are talking about doing a super bowl party, and I think I'm game. We'll see.

They could work a "normal job" and make a shit wage. Some girls choose the "easy" route of being a prepago, but plenty of poor girls don't. And I'm not necessarily blaming them. It might be a rational decision.

I don't think the OP was necessarily "playing on" poor desperate girls. I think it's more likely than he was just making a fool of himself and possibly putting himself at risk. Many of these girls have some pretty tough hombres as friends. If the OP met this girl in person, she may very well have one-upped him in the nasty threats arena.

These chicks are not sitting around starving because there is no gringo sex tourist within a 10 mile radius of her to offer sex for money. They were eating before you got there, and will continue to do so once you have departed back to your home country.

I have been going to Medelland since 2012 and not once have I met a chica who was not dressed well and did not have a cell phone. Most of the chicas I have met hook to buy themselves expensive clothes, accessories, iPhones, etc. Some have day jobs and can only visit me during the late evening. Most are in school and can only visit me on days they do not have class or late afternoon (although I am sure there are plenty that will skip class in order to make some pesos). I have yet to meet any chica who looked to me as if she had just rolled out from under her cardboard box off the street before coming to visit me.

Maybe it just me, but I have never met an extremely poor chica who is able to afford a data plan to be able to communicate daily with extrajernos. I would imagine that the streetwalkers would be the ones considered the poorest of the p4p bunch and may have to do it (hook) because they may not have a choice, but I doubt they would have money to spend on things like data plans, smart phones, and Colombian Cupid when they have mouths to feed.

In regards to Medellin, I can say with extreme confidence that at least 98% of the chicas I met are hooking because:

-It's legal for them to do so, so why not?

-The money is better than working some boring-ass job earning peanuts.

-It is supplemental money to the money they are making at their current job.

-It pays for tuition, books, etc.

-They just want to buy expensive things to show off to friends (both in real life and on Facebook). Plus if she can get some bobo to fly her to Cancun it will make all of her friends (in my best bimbo-internet voice) "super-jealous!"

Her aunt once explained to me that there is a subculture of Colombian women who take advantage of foreign men to earn more income. She told me these women typically are eligible for government welfare checks, or they simply do this on the side to earn more income. She told me to never believe these women, or assume that they are victims. "Parasitos" is the word she used.

I'm not saying the Venezuelan you meet in Cartagena is rich and doesn't need the money. I'm just saying the vast majority of the hot Colombian chicas you meet with plastic surgery and expensive purses are not starving. They supplement their income fucking foreign men. In North America these women would be models, tv presenters, or club promoters. In Colombia they engage in "la puteria. ".

I'm early 50's, good physical condition, and well dressed. I am sitting next to 3 women. 2 in their mid-late 50's (ok looking given their age) and one chubby but cute girl in her early 30's. Did you assume they were working girls because they were sitting around in groups of women and being friendly or were they very obviously working girls (scantly dressed)?

I'm going to be there next week, and will be 5 minutes away from the park.
