Downsides.

They lock up the reception about 6pm so you're on your own and there are no security cameras. If you are an inexperienced monger then I would not recommend this place as reception acts as a filter (for screening I'd's for age) and if you happen to accidentally pick up a LB and they won't leave without full payment. You are own your own.

Although it does avoid the walk of shame you should be cognizant that hotel staff are (usually) there to help you and it's best to avoid any altercations of a violent or lawful nature.

Also they only offer a change of towels every two days (WTF).

I would recommend the Queen Vic in Soi 6/1 for value. 800 baht gets you a pimped out room with ST a mere second away. As for the Lady Boys, I'm batting 100% even while drunk, I can spot them a mile away! They are suprisingly attractive, but not my style.

Safety is top of my priority list and the whole towel situation may get old, I like a nice clean dry towell everyday.

I may just try out the queen vic, I do love me some soi 6 and staying on the road I could handle that for at least a couple days! I'm thinking I may stay on or near Walking ST area, as Soi 6 mostly have ST rooms available, so don't need my hotel room there, however if I pull a hotty form WS or Soi Diane etc, it could be a jolly jaunt to get back to the room for the fireworks. Any good places to eat on or near Soi 6?

1. Queen Vic girlfriendly?

2. Is there a limitation on how far the girls are willing to go when you barfine them? IE if I stay on Soi 6 or WS, can I pull girls from either place and will they be willing to take a baht bus to the other location?

Also, the girls will go any where you want. I had a Soi 6 pull ask to go to Bangkok with me. As long as you pay the BF (and them), they are yours.

My routine is to step into my favorite "open front" bar and sip on a cold beer while sitting in one of the seats that overlooks the street. When my favorite vendor comes by I step into the street, purchase my meal and return to my seat. The bars don't sell food, so they don't care if you buy some elsewhere and eat it on premises.

Just kidding, but seriously, if you feel like hanging out on Soi 6 for a few hours you might as well have a tasty snack in between sessions and wash it down with a cold beer. Why not make yourself at home? It's not like there is anywhere better to go to watch the human comedy between 3 and 6 in the afternoon. After a while you start to catch the rhythm of the street and who knows maybe spot a diamond in the rough.

I agree you don't come to Thailand for the food you come for p4p I am in Pattaya now til Friday, there are many good place to eat at central Pattaya mall but for international cusine is no where like Singapore or Hong kong food is much better, I eat at the canton house at the mall last night service and food is lousy but cheap but there are always the Fuji and the Sizzer too.

Need some advise here. Can anyone recommend a good Hotel / Apartment with 3 rooms and reasonable priced that near to Walking Street?

3 of us are going to Pattaya in Oct and would like to rent such Hotel / Apartment for a party.

Anybody ever stayed at the Tune Hotel? It looks modern although pretty basic, and a good price. But I'm slightly put off by a reference to 'towel rental' (WTF?) and that wi-fi is an extra charge.

Fresh, clean, reasonable. Tiny rooms, add-ons prices like wifi, etc. I'm a cheapskate but would not repeat. Maybe if they have a great location it'd work out but I regretted not spending more in S'pore
