I need a good night's sleep and cannot stay up like that like I use to anymore. So looks like Lips would just be visual entertainment for me.

Funny how this city seems a bit backwards compared to other places since most of the good access to girls happens during the daytime rather than night.

At least 10 around the city that I know of. I named some in a previous thread. All of the clubs that are open have take out and many have in house as well for a discounted price. Just not Lips.

It all depends if you feel like jumping in a cab and checking them out. You will be safe but, it does take a bit getting used to walking into a strip club and having everyone in there staring at you like you have a horn growing out of your head or something. Especially if your by yourself.

Heck, some of them even resulted in the girls applauding when I came in.

Another thing I most definitely want to do if in the city is visit a market to eat cheap but authentic local food. It would be nice if they had this available at night time too sort of like they have in Asia but I could not find anything about one yet in Central America.

Best is to stop in Olocuilta on the way to the city from the airport when you arrive. Its about half way. Just tell the cabbie you want to stop. There are about 30 Pupusa stands there so choose one that looks the most inviting and buy the taxi driver a couple for waiting. There about 30-50 cents each. You will make a friend.

Or, if you find a female friend to take with you go try LOS Planes. Its up in the mountains about 30 minute drive from city. Plenty of Local places and Pupusa stands up there. Plus the weather and view is spectacular.

As far as looking for a "market" type atmosphere similar to Asia, Olocuilta is the way to go.

Not sure if this was before the American owner took over but the girls used to allow you to lick their pussy on stage, amongst other activisties. However, I agree with you it has become a little more like a US strip club, in the sense that there is a constant pestering for tips, to buy drinks, raffle tickets and dances. I spent most of my 1 month in Medellin, so going to any mongering spot after Medellin will make someone like me hard to impress. I didn't know what to expect, so I chose to stay only 4 nights. Had to pay $10 for a tourist card. I asked a few drivers and they all said $30 to go to the city. I was told $30 today to go to the airport. So $30 must be the current price. I arrived this Friday, but I felt tired from little sleep and it started raining like crazy and I didn't do anything.

Saturday I walked to the mall, ate, then I walked all the way to Kiss Fresh (KF). I am staying at the Novo Apart Hotel. And, I walked back to the hotel.

It cost $6 to get inside KF, and it looks like a place that should stay open until 2 AM, but they close at 9:30 PM on a Saturday, and closed on Sundays. It's probably because it is in a residential area.

I sat, and a waiter spoke great English. I think he was assigned to me because when I walked in they knew my Spanish was poor. The waiter didn't waste any time to have girls be shown to me. I had 7 of the non-busy ladies shown to me. This was about 6:45 PM. These ladies almost looked sad, like they didn't want to be there. What a turn-off. I was looking for what lady would make a little smile or show some life. They all looked unhappy. Only two of them were decent looking anyways. It was $10 for her drink. But, she asked me repeatedly to buy her half a bottle of whisky. Which was $65. I repeatedly told her I don't want to get drunk right now, but she said she would drink the half bottle by herself. She asked me about every 30 seconds until the waiter came back. She really pissed me off and I knew I would have no fun with her attitude. But, I already paid.

When the guy came back I told him I wanted a new girl. He was excellent! Without hesitation he told the girl she has to go. And in less than a minute he had girls come to be shown to me again. When I seen the other good looking girl I chose her, no need to show me other girls. She was probably wondering what happened. The waiter gave her the drink I bought for the first woman, and gave her the credit, fecha I think, for the drink.

On Tuesday I am going to Nicaragua for 6 nights, then to Guatemala for I don't know how long, maybe a week, perhaps make a day trip to see Copan in Honduras, and exit Guatemala to Belize by boat or bus for a few nights, then to Mexico, and back to the USA To help my parents out with something. This will give me the "I've been to every country in Central America" award. Otherwise I don't think there is much of any mongering to do in Belize.

About 5 different people said $30. The person that said $25 doesn't speak English. So the English speakers want to charge gringos tax.

This is my first time here, so I am no expert on the non-mongering stuff to do here. I always look at Tripadvisor and there isn't much to do here. Today it hasn't been raining yet, so a driver quoted me $50 to drive to a volcano and back. Or $20 for driving me around the city for 2 hours. I thought that was a good deal. We went to the Centro area, which I wouldn't want to be walking around alone at. I went inside Inglesia Rosario, and another large Cathedral, Parque Libertad, went up a hill to see a view of the city, then he drove me around some more. I realized we were near the Hooter's restaurant. I found out they closed it down. There are some articles claiming Hooters in El Salvador probably closed because of threats and extortion. Do a search for Hooters El Salvador and I think it is the first article to pop up.

A driver told me to not hang around the Mejicanos area, but that isn't too far North of Kiss Fresh.

When driving to Centro there were some bad areas for sure. I was playing Mr tourists and had a GoPro and a rather expensive pocket camera. When we stopped at Parque Libertad the driver went walking with me. It wasn't hard to see I was probably the only foreigner in the park. I many times put a GoPro out the window with no problems, but we passed a couple places and said, put the camera back in the car, this is a bad area. Yeah, it looked bad. But I had my eyes looking out. Some places I've walked that seems more than safe is Novo Apart Hotel to Multicentro Mall, then to Kiss Fresh, then to Novo Part Hotel, and I've walked to the Galeria mall. The locals are actually pretty friendly. But, someone like a driver will still try to make more money from you than a local. Also drivers are pretty considerate. Many cars will let cross the street, or yield to you. But, there is still a lot of cars buzzing around, so have to be careful.

Lots of people say go see the beaches here. I think they probably won't be spectacular, but quirte a few people come here for surfing. I seen some fly in to San Salvador with a surfboard. I can't imagine taking a surfboard to the airport. I can just imagine how much the airlines charge for a surfboard.

Somebody I know. Hint hint. Posted a video on Youtube with the drive from the airport to the city. And a few minutes around the city. More very amateur video to come. There is also some videos in Medellin. The videos are not meant from a mongerer's point of view. I don't want family and friends knowing about that. Even though my family knows already. I was in Medellin with a guy from Texas and he kept saying things that we normally talk about, but I didn't want this on my videos.
