When you get tired of Classic venues, then take an under 15 min bike taxi ride (see map) to Kota Indah complex, which has 4-5 bars (LA, Sari Ayu, Royal, etc.) in a walkable horseshoe road. Some may disagree, but IMHO all of these venues are pretty much cookie cutter experiences in that you will find largely local clientele, loud music, smoky atmosphere, alcohol on tap, mamasans and girls of all shapes that you can fuck in all-inclusive onsite rooms for IDR400 k or less base price. If you add Travel Hotel, which is direcly in the middle on the same line, you can create a relatively close proximity Orion's Belt of North Jakarta meat markets. 1) the girls sit far away, and it's difficult to see them properly. In Classic, you can walk past the sofas and be 5 feet away from the girls and have a good look, and assess the body language exchange as you smile at them. This is difficult at Travel.

2) Only some of the girls are on display. The rest are in this large room behind the live band stage. Strange arrangement, IMO.

They give you your receipt and your door pass and then pretend that their job is done, hoping that you leave without your change. You have to wait awkwardly for at least 20 seconds before they start looking for your change. This still bothers me a little bit every time.

Also T5, 15% of the time asking for a tip where no other place has ever asked me for a tip for making F-ing change which takes 3 minutes on my way out. I tried a few girls I really wanted but knew they were not into me, and I could not change their opinion of me in the room so the deed was less than stellar for sure. It is best to use the mamasans at Travel because they know who each girl likes and does not like. Very hit and miss so pay attention to how the girl reacts you before you take her.
