Short Time Hotels Not Optimal for 12-Hour Time Frame
I will touch down at BKK next week at 12:30 a.m., but will only be able to check in the hotel in the afternoon. Lets say I get a streetwalker, is it possible to get a last minute hotel with her? And what are the rates per night or short time for a room? Staying at my hotel lobby for 12 hours++ would be really lame.
Streetwalkers can easily steer you to a "short time" hotel. Rates are 300-500 baht. You'll have enough time to take care of business and take a shower. But you won't be able to hang out or kill time. If you're looking for a place to hang your hat for 12 hours, you'd be better off advance booking a single night at one of Bangkok's numerous budget hotels and e-mailing them to explain you'll be arriving in the middle of the night. If you guarantee the room using a credit card, they won't care when you check in. Check out the Bangkok Hotels section. You can easily find a decent hotel for 1000 to 1500 baht per night.
