Thanks very much for the kind words. I don't report much nowadays as I rarely if ever venture anywhere new. Since the USA stopped allowing new pages to be added to passports I figured I'd better stay put.
Regarding tipping, I wait until after the preliminaries and 'foreplay' and offer the tip just before intercourse. A substantial tip for an essential service, one which used to be de rigueur in Thailand but which alas is now rare, only to be found gratis or 'included' among the older ladies. Nowadays due to better funding (and dwindling libido) I usually partake of the 20-25 types, so tipping is the only way to get anywhere.

The most recent time, I got a new passport at that same embassy in Bangkok. I do not live in Bangkok. On each occasion, I was just there on a tourist visa. I did that because it was much quicker than getting it done in the US. I got new pages added same day, and I think the new passport was only 3 days or maybe a week. I'd have waited a helluva lot longer than that in the US.

Everything is recorded and go back margine if you really loose your passport. It will be the second one, not something any authority will like.
Lost or stolen passports are entered in database that other immigration agencies might access and your name will be matched to it.
An immigration agent, not in my country, knew I had lost once also my national ID card.

Wondering if you have ever decided to barfine a girl that never raised the issue, and how that went.
There is this one bar that I go to a lot on my trips, and have been going for a few years. I enjoy the ambiance there and sit for hours just relaxing and buying drinks for my lady companion. I, and I am sure many other mongers, have taken girls to my hotel room without ever discussing their rate. In the morning, I handed them what I thought was a reasonable donation and they were generally happy (I tend to be generous anyhow).
I am surprised you did not ask her, if you found her attractive, unless you were not planning to take a girl that night. I did that in my last trip to Pattaya.
