For a regular good massage (no extras) , head to the shops close to the dolphin circulation point, on second road.

I wrote a post about 78 pages back. I want to re-post it with some additional info for the new bros who won't read back further than five pages and assume they have Pattaya figured out.

This is for complete beginners, so older members might think my observations are childish, because older members have been doing it for so long.

I won't give play by plays of my experiences unless it helps solidify my points. As always, older members are always welcome to chime in with their observations.

Another few notes, I'll be in Pattaya Jan. 18th until Feb. 1. I'm excited about this trip since it'll be my longest one to date!

I was 31 years old when I first went in 2015. I am a 6'2" (188 cm) 218 pound (99 kg) white American male. I have abs, an outgoing personality, and can bench more than my weight for reps. I can get girls easily in every country I've visited. I'm not bragging, I only included this info because I want to emphasize that I paid the exact same for the girls as every other member of this board. Looks do not matter! The girls want your wallet, not your abs. If I walked into a gogo and didn't buy LD (lady drinks) they would ignore me just as quickly as they would ignore an 80 year old fat ass. However, I can recall several occasions where pot-bellied men started throwing cash around without question. They were much more popular than me. Always remember the motto; "cash is king".

I lurked on this board for about six months before my first trip and back-read reports for over 100 pages. I strongly suggest each monger do the same before they visit Pattaya. (but I know most of you won't).

Here are my tips that you should absolutely follow:

1. You should be able to quote price ranges for any service within each part of town at any given time of the day / week / year. You'll learn these prices from reading the last 100 pages of this forum. Don't be lazy, just do it! If you can't name at least three Soi 6 bars, or the average price of a FL on BR at 6 am, then you haven't read enough.

2. You should understand this is not your country or culture! People here act differently; don't expect them to change for you simply because you are unable to change for them. (which leads to my next tip).

3. Keep your eyes open. When you enter any place, hotels, restaurants, go-go's, it doesn't matter, look around and pay attention to what other people are doing. If you see a monger groping a girl and the girl is laughing, you are allowed to do the same. If you see mongers sitting on their hands, you better do the same until you see otherwise. Also, keep in mind that some people can do things others cannot. Indians get treated differently than Japanese, that's just the way it is. Know where you fit in. You'll have plenty of fun regardless of your background.

4. Plan on using at least 6,000 baht a day. Don't think you can get by with less on your first trip. Being tight with your wallet will ruin your holiday and leave a sour taste in your mouth. Don't try to argue on this one. If you can't bring at least 6,000 a day, don't go. After your first trip, you can plan on how much to bring, but first time just do as I say! That 6,000 does not include hotel fare either, you cheap bastard. Seasoned Pattaya mongers spend a lot less because they already know what works for them. There is also a lot of debate about this number from seasoned guys.

5. Have a game plan before you leave your hotel each morning. You don't have to plan every minute but at least know what part of town you want to visit. Thailand is hot, you don't want to be standing in the sun trying to decide where to go.

6. Don't try to do everything in one day. I know it's your holiday but don't go overboard. I tried to visit LK Metro, Soi 6, WS, and go shopping all on my first day. It led to me feeling hurried and stressed. I spent more time walking than I did enjoying my holiday. I realized that aiming for two destinations a day is a lot better. Soi 6 in the afternoon then WS at night worked beautifully for me. You can mix and match destinations.

7. Learn to love the baht buses. I walked everywhere the first two days; it was awful! I was staying near WS and I walked to Soi 6 and back several times. It was a big mistake. I eventually hopped on a baht bus, and everything was a lot easier after that revelation.

8. Lower your standards for what you need in a hotel. Like tip 2 suggests, don't expect things to be like back home. Do you really need to stay at a 5-star hotel? If the same answer is yes, go ahead and spend a ton of money. You should make a list of the things you absolutely need in a hotel. My list was short: bed, toilet, near WS. I found a hotel with average ratings which was cheap. Turns out the hotel was freaking great! It was worth way more than the cost. I'll be staying there again.

9. Don't be shy! This is a rookie mistake I made. I tried being a gentleman and it made my trip less enjoyable. If you want a girl, go for it! Approach her, talk with her.

10. Just because you aren't shy doesn't mean you have a pass to be rude. Be the man with a smile, not the man with fist. If something frustrates you, remember this is your holiday. Let it go!

11. Relax! You will be overwhelmed your first time in Pattaya. You will get a flood of weird emotions. When that happens, find a relaxing place to reset and reassess your reasons for the visit. You read all these reports of men who land 11 girls in 6 days and you feel the need to do the same. The pressure can be bigger than you realized. Don't try to be that guy on your first trip. Be the guy laughing happily, not the dehydrated one looking to refill fluids. If you see a girl who gets you going, have fun! If you are tired from the previous girl, don't feel like you have to get another just to keep up with studs on this board. They've been here several times. They've been training for the marathon. You're still just a sprinter. Some of the guys in this forum are freaks of nature. Even with pills, I can't keep up with their numbers.

12. Try eating at different places for each meal. This one is a little more personal, but I feel the need to say it since I love experiencing new things. Don't go to the same place over and over. Also, be wary of seafood if it's been sitting outside all day.

16. Know your drinking limit. If you get angry after seven beers, stop drinking at six. Your holiday will be quickly ruined if you make a drunken mistake. You don't want to start a fight in Thailand, and you don't want to be passed out drunk in the streets.

17. Know when to let stuff go. If the sign says "80 baht beer" but they charge me 90, I'll just let it go. 10 baht isn't worth fighting for. I once saw a monger angrily yell at two bartenders in the early afternoon because he was given a San Miguel Light instead of a regular San Miguel. I couldn't believe it! Don't be that guy. 1000 baht might be worth a disagreement, but 10 baht isn't.

18. Don't immediately get defensive when a girl quotes you a high price. If a BR FL asks for 1500, don't automatically think she trying to scam you out of your money. She's just trying to get what she can; don't take it as a personal offense because she didn't open with 800 or less. It is okay to negotiate, but it isn't okay to believe she hates you because that's what she asked for. Some guys take bargaining personal, please don't.

19. You'll see tons of posts in this forum arguing about money or complaining about Pattaya not being as great as it was; take those posts with a grain of salt. Many of them are bitter vets, or jealous haters. If you're new, you'll have the time of your life!

20. Maintain a high energy attitude! Dress hip / cool, act hip, show energy vs lethargy, and come across as a fun guy. Girls (particularly the younger ones) don't want just a boring guy. And more so, if like me, you stick with the under (say) 28. Haven123 added this one.

21. Never ever fall in love with a professional or non-professional girl. For me it is unbelievable how many Thai girls have 3, 5 or more different foreign friends at the same time who support "her girl" with money every month and every one of these guys thinks, that he is her only friend. Added by Michager.

As always, older members are encouraged to add to this list. Your advice is more helpful than you may realize. I'll continue to add to this list and post an updated one in six months or so.

Spent 3 days in Pattaya with a few friends. Being a Pattaya virgin, this forum was the go-to source for information. Thanking everyone for all the suggestions and updates you post here. Hopefully, this will help some other first timers as well. This is my first trip log, in fact my very first post here; so, please go easy on the feedback.

Day 1.

Flying into Bangkok and cab ride to Pattaya was quite painless. We were flying red-eye, so, everyone had a chance to grab some shut eye in the 90 minutes it took us to get there. We checked into the Amari Gardens which is at the other end of beach road. Amari Gardens has sibling Amari Towers which is a lot more modern and overlooks BR. Lots of families here, and we spotted some corporate off-site events too. None of us brought any girls back to the rooms, but I have spotted some girls walking out early morning. Unfortunately, can't provide any pointers on the joiners fee, if any.

Come early evening, we grabbed the tuktuk on BR and headed over to Walking Street. Seemed to be warming up at 5:30 in the evening, with lots of people milling around, and some signboard aglow. We realized we're way too early, so decided to see some of the famous massage parlors instead. Back to the hotel (for the Wifi. LOL), and then we found ourselves in Sabai Room. My first fishbowl experience, and it was a bit strange, TBH. Picking from a menu has a whole new meaning now As expected Red, Blue and White, priced at 2 k, 2.5 k and 3 k. We looked around, and the girls were inviting to say the least. But then, someone decided that we should scout other places too.

Off we went to PP Massage, which I learnt is the favorite for Indians. In fact, papa san spoke very colorful Hindi too! He quoted identical prices (2,2.5,3) and we were in a splendid mood by this time. We each picked a girl of our choice, paid and headed over to the room.

I can recall one of the places there that has 3 small back-rooms with "folding door" , a type of cheap wood / plastic material drag-curtain doors.

They do not go all the way to the roof, so I would only call it semi privacy.

Another one has benches up the stairs from the massage shop, with curtains between the benches, but if you are the only visitor upstairs, then you are "in private", and you will hear any other customer coming up the stairs long before they enter the room.

Another alternative is the massage places close to walking street, on the corner of second road, where the bath buses start their trip northbound towards the dolphin turnabout.

I really have tried a lot of massage places, and instead of looking for P4P girls, an alternative is to walk from place to place, looking for the good looking ones, and try to build a connection.

Walking street massage places (close to the southern end of walking street) never got me anything. To many tourists, no privacy.

Usually the tactics of getting a HJ first time, is the icebreaker that makes it possible to get her back to your hotel the next time you visit, if you made a good impression, and she feels safe with you.

So, not much has changed in the last 8 months, that I can tell. (but please note, I have not entered a single GO GO and I have not been to Kinnaree (on this trip)) , or places like that either on this trip (as yet).

1. I've been to Soi 6 places and Soi 7 Shooters. Checked out LK Metro area, Soi Buakhao, and several beer bar areas off of 2nd Road. As is normal and my MO, I've been to the discos a lot. But usually only very late around 2 am. I stay disciplined as far planning my sleep, some exercises and enjoying Thai food, which I love.

2. Prices: As far as I can tell, no change in prices anywhere in Soi 6 or at the discos. Max I was quoted (and I usually don't ask so my sample set is small on this trip) was initial of 2,500, which ends up in 2000 max, LT. I like decent face, non pros, under 28 and good attitude. I never do ST, so my gating question to myself always is, " can I stand having this chick next to me for up to 24 hours " and maybe 3-4 days if I like really her. Soi 6 no change in prices, as it is set by the owner operator.

3. Results: In about 8 days (after initial jet lag day and almost 2 wasted days punctuated with incessant rain, plus another 2 days due to a major auto accident with family member back home (putting a huge damper on my state of mind)) , I have done very, very poorly.

Only 2 girls I liked, 2 -3 girls where I was too late and did not strike when the iron was hot (always my problem in the initial few days, since I am frigging optimist). So, I grade myself a 3 on a 1-10 scale, in terms of success. Of the 2 new girls, one drinks too much and the other wants me to hang with 2 of her older friends (she is 24) and I don't want to prick up the tab for that. Yeah, so many things have to fall in line for me, since I don't like ST. And, I avoid pros. Yes, I do distinguish between pros, semi pros, new pros and non pros. Your opinion and YMMV on this, obviously. But, I am really enjoying my time at the discos until 6 am...LOL.

4. The trip started off poorly as I was expecting to hook up with 2 of my favs from my last trip. Also, one British owner is running a great organization with Brit managers and has several under his belt. But, I fear for his safety as he posts stuff publicly about his connections with politicians and I think police too. Guy has a Thai wife, but you never know. Anyway, Toy Box and Night Wish seem good for my taste.

6. Facebook: This is becoming a monster IMO. Many Soi 6 and Go Go girls very active and I have been monitoring about 2 dozen girls for a month, for my pre-trip intelligence and plain curiosity. All these girls now are looking for love (boyfriend, husband whatever and they are deluding themselves IMO). But, they live in their own cocoons, whether it be among their Soi 6 friends, Go Go friends or whatever and they are all IMO together perpetuating their delusion. And, with the money, they are all drinking way too much , getting stressed out, come to the discos to relax , party more, and then after a month of that end up for something or other ( stress or don't know what else ) at the hospital. Crazy stuff ...this stress related hospital visits....I am shocked by extent of this...but if you think about it, it's easy to understand ( due to only 3 days off a month) long hours, drinking and more drinking.

So, they are all chasing their LT farang or sponsor option. At least 2/3 have a kid back home and financial support they are providing, adding to the stress and the boozy lifestyle of long, long hours and highly structured work environments at Soi 6 or at the Go- Go's.

After all, they are making good money, are young, want to have their cake and eat it too. Most have many tattoos and that is their call sign (I love girls with tattoos back home and in Latin America, but not here). For me, Facebook seems to be destroying Pattaya options, for a guy like me. Girls on these groups, feeding each other info, prices, how to get a sponsor, how to get guys ' vested' and other strategies. Many girls blindly follow and many are not doing well due to high expectations. This, plus Japanese and newbies, short stay guys are making things in Pattaya very difficult for a guy like me. High expectations by girls will be the problem in months and years to come. I think Latin America is better for me, by far. Girls are genuinely sweeter and have realistic expectations are are not on the hunt for a farang husband.

7. I have yet to try out BR (which is a turn off for me) but I will give it a look tonight. I think this along with Soi 6 is among the best options for the non Go- Go crowd (I have nothing against Go- Go 's but I abhor sitting and ogling at girls and drinking at those places. I never had to in most places around the world. Dating web sites are 90 PC of bread and butter in Latin Countries, but it does not work for me here (I am no longer a young or even youngish guy for the non pro Thai girls! LOL).

8. Kinnaree should work for those who like on premises point and shoot. Shooters on Soi 7 seems worthwhile, but maybe 3-4 good ones.

9. Clubs: I am begining to like Lucifers. But talent level small and lower quality than Ibar / Insomnia. Wait staff push you to buy drinks.

10. Other: many more African girls than I saw on last trip. I expect this trend may increase, but they are not successful. Too many Russians and Turkish at the Discos and Central Festival. Need to go spend more time at Area 51 near Soi Buakhao and LK metro, 2-3 decent girls. Also, saw one beer bar, at around the intersection on Soi LK Metro and Soi Buakhao where the girls seemed surprisingly decent looking. Will go back and confirm and post name in the next several days.

11. OT : The brunch buffet with some BBQ at Cafe Pascal ( until 2 pm LOL ) at 240 baht very good... but no Thai or Asian food.

Made it on the bus fro Ekammia in Bangkok, with the customary chaos, random boarding and typical 2 hour late arrival of the scheduled coach. 120 baht. My impressions of Pattaya is one of a heavily built up city on the coast infested with heavy traffic and tourists from everywhere. Pretty polluted as well, and not as compact as Bangkok and the BTS skytrain. A lot of sad rip-off prices for atrocious faux western food (what is the point being here and not eat Asian) and people trying to sell you shit, sunglasses, massage, ping-pong show etc etc. It is also very noisy with neon everywhere and people trying to pull you in. Calling it a "beach" "town" is bullshit. It is a heavily built up urban slum. Compared to Hawaii or Cost Rica or the Dalmatian coast, it is a parody of a beach. The food is not very good, heavy use of industrial meat farming coupled with poor hygiene and refrigeration, a special problem for chicken and poultry. One of the local doctors I know tells me severe food poisoning is common along with drunks falling over or out of trucks.

Eventually I made it to a soi (not sure which one, but off walking street) leading to 2nd road which was fun with overtones of the Cantina bar scene in Star Wars with a genuine fat Jabba the Hut guy (chin goes direct to chest, no neck) knocking back beers and drooling, but popular with the girls as he freely dispensed money and lady drinks. Two uptight horrified looking menopausal western cows in the bar whilst a girl stuck ice in her pussy and popped it in a punters drink. Another guy was licking out a girl at the bar and then fucked her on the stool about 30 minutes later. Had a few beers. The girls dance with no panties. After a while it got boring, somehow too frontal, nothing left to the imagination or delicious intrigue. Headed off to Honey's on No. 2 Road, attractive chick (#479 or something) was mechanical and cold, claimed not to have a second condom for shot No. 2.

This place is really full on, literally thousands of girls in the beach road plying their pussies and the trail of tampax and tissues. Yet we cannot resist them.

In the day light, Pattaya looks like a slum. The beach is crowded with hawkers and stalls, polluted with way too many power boats and cruddy. Yeah great for pussy, but not much else in nicer digs. On that note, I checked out several hotels from 4 k baht to 800 baht. All have rock hard mattresses and flimsy pillows. Not the best for quality sleep to recharge the pipes for the next day of action.

I think German FKK are way better. 50 Euros = 1890 baht at today's rate, though you can get a short time girl here for about 1000 baht.

You also have to pay 60-80 euro entry for a FKK. For the same price you would need to compare fkk vs a high end gogo girl from walking street.

Not going to deny that a top FKK girl is comparable to a top gogo girl (ie. Way better looking than soi 6) but the passion just isn't the same from a Romanian vs a Thai girl.

Pattaya strangely attracts families, I don't understand why. The touristy Thai restaurants change the same as in the States or Europe (250 baht per dish = USD 7. 00) , a semi-decent cappuccino is 80 baht (USD 2. 26), and beers about 60 baht (USD 1. 70) and pussy at about 1000 baht s / t (USD28.00) plus perhaps a room and bar fine (300 baht each or USD 8. 50). Dentistry is cheap, 700 baht for a good scale and clean (USD 19.79).

There are also many condos for sale, about 2-6 m baht depending on size and location (USD 56,600 to 170,000), but the beach is crap. So, my guess is that it attracts Russians on a budget who think the sun and heat and somewhat exotic people is a great deal. Cheap charlies who stay in 1000 baht per night hotels may also see this as value, providing that ambience plays no role in banging girls. Maybe I am getting old, but it is nice to have some normal social cues and chill factor. It is also a haven for guys from the USA that is sex prison, they just took backpage offline on the theory that all the girls are either [url=http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord902][CodeWord902][/url] or being trafficked. This is simply propaganda, the truth is that fat western women are outraged we can just buy the milk and not the cow and this ties in with a generally sanctimonious lectures that come downs to protecting their pussy franchise. Many jobs are dangerous, like process lines, slaughter houses etc. And what about the factories in Asia making consumer baubles at under $2 a day. The average Thai makes 9,000 baht a month ($USD 255) and work about 6 days a week 8-10 hours a day. They are lucky to save a 1000 baht a month. Somehow that crushing exploitation is OK, but sex is not. A lot of the bar girls are wholly rational wanting to add 20-30 k baht per month so they can get some capital and independence. Same in the USA.

So yeah, Pattaya is a shagging capital, but it is also pretty ugly and polluted. The hotel mattresses must be made in north Korea.

I presume its proximity to BKK makes it easier. It truly is a shithole, and I wouldn't dip my toes into the water anywhere near the mainland, including Jomtien. I remember that I cried when I took in Pattaya after having cut short a visit to Phuket. It is that bad.

And I can't wait for my four solid days there I've booked in February -- after having been stuck in Sex Prison USA. The bit about the Western heifers is spot-on!

(I do appreciate the current intel on pricing from the Soi 6 devotees. I'll stroll for the down and dirty there, but Walking Street is my favorite. I've been RTTF, and presume the current rates there are about 3000 baht, with barfines edging into four figures. A plate of food runs me 60 to 80 baht. Also check out the drink carts and stands. You can get that cappuccino for 4x less. Remember restaurants have to pay rent and workers so their ambiance is going to cost you.

Many pictures of places around the world are photoshopped to lure tourists. I was showing a coworker the diffence between a random googled picture of the beach/water and a real one from my phone. If you have never been to a place like Aruba or Destin, Florida then Pattaya Beach suits you just fine. You can't miss what you never had. A man who has never had a ribeye is not going to complain about the bologna on his plate when he has gone without meat his entire life.

[/QUOTE]North Pattaya is supposed to be for the non mongering tourists, but I still don't see the attraction. Considered closer to Bangkok than many other options. Bang Saen, Cha Am, Rayong, are supposed to be suited for families. I also would rather travel much further to a really nice beach on one of the Islands.

We could also ask why Arab families are attracted to Soi 3 and Soi 5 of Sukhumwit Bangkok? What is the attraction? Perhaps the men are slipping out for some naughty stuff at night.
