I think there will already/still be a lot of tourists in June and September, and also during the Russian holiday period in early May.

Sochi is famous as a holiday resort, Tuapse and Novorossyisk aren't. From what I can see on the Net these are port cities, but nearby Gelendzhik is an important resort, too.

Many Communist leaders used to go to the Baltic coast in summer (esp. near Riga), so I guess somewhere near St. Petersburg would probably be sort of acceptable in July/August, too, in terms of water temperature (no problem with air temperature). I haven't heard about the nudist beach, though.

If you don't speak Russian I wouldn't recommend it. Some girls will speak English but you'll be better off in Moscow, or even in Turkey, as they will question your motivation behind coming to Sochi. Since it is actually cheaper to go to Turkey or Egypt than to go to Sochi, the girls who go there have usually made a conscious decision to stay in a Russian-speaking environment.

I'm in that age range and have never had a lack of female attention at any of these places. That said, I do take care of how I present myself (eventhough I'm hardly Brad Pitt). If you do the same, you should haven't any problems.

It happens. I recently got faced at Che and Etazh on a Saturday night too, but I am pretty sure it was because of the guys I was with. :)

There is no sure method to "beat" face control. Sometimes the security just doesn't like your face. I remember once I was talking on my phone outside Karma Bar and watched the doormen face a group of babes and then let a group pf trolls in. Huh?

Also, larger groups may have it harder than smaller groups, especially if the club is full or the male-female ratio is askew. 4 guys trying to get in will have it harder than 2 groups of 2. In my opinion the best mix is 2 guys.

2 guys = will spend money.

BTW, on that Saturday night Tunnel, PJs and from what I could tell from the OUTSIDE Che were all pretty terrible in terms of girl quality. Sorry Babushka was a little better, but basically every club we went to was a sausage fest. Unfortunately this is getting to be more and more the case in Moscow. The days of 75-80% women are over. In most cases, the best you can hope for now is 50-50, and this seems to be true for all clubs from demokratichny to elitny.

This was interesting because the local guys hardly ever write about NF, it's a little like Disneyland for them. He called in the morning to give me a long sob story that this daughter of the Korean and the Uzbek (or Kirghizes, the Kazakh woman - any more I do not remember) gave him a blow job exclusively with a condom on. She assumed the position for sex half-heartedly and in general, after 1,5 - 2 hours began to gather together her things to go home. In answer to his very reasonable question, "What the hell do you think you're doing?", she responds that the whole night costs 1,500 green ones [dollars] and not a kopeck less.

Most likely, these prices develop exclusively from the fairies' own level of conceit or vanity and their particular individual understanding of that, and correspond with how much each one considers she can charge at any given point in time (I suppose that, day by day, this parameter is capable of changing).

There is, in general, a very big risk that the concept of "the fairy of the higher price category", with reference to the fairies of "Night Flight", will more likely indicate the COMPLETE OPPOSITE - the higher the declared price, the greater the conceit of the fairy, and consequently, the lower quality of service.

Certainly, exceptions happen. But they are rare (For example, it is possible to negotiate for 300 green ones, instead of for 500). But, first - it is necessary to negotiate, secondly (as the experience of my acquaintance has shown) this too is not the fact...). Yes, into the account of the starting price - be ready for this, that they are completely able to declare 500 Euros instead of Dollars (which is exactly how they began to negotiate with my acquaintance).

You should try "Night Flight" once or twice, because then, you will quickly realize that there is nothing present in this club that is out of the ordinary. So it is finally happening, the great financial meltdown has reached Russia.
The stock market has lost 64% of its value and oil prices are down 35%
since July. That has got to hurt somebody, especially oligarchs! Well done, Vlad & Dmitri!

I just wonder how much ordinary or middle-class Russians are leveraged through credit? I have the impression that is not nearly so common in Russia as in the US. If so, then the ordinary Russian executive/salaryman is not going to be losing his shirt, but perhaps will no longer be able to afford to buy new clothes for girlfriends. And I guess they always had the "live for today" approach, so there will little security to help them weather the storm.

Hopefully this is the first step to a cooling of the overheated Russian economy that will trickle down to the price of dyevs (eventually).

Even so, I agree with Skank, that dyevs will not be immediately price-sensitive, if they have been pedalling themselves for $X (in cash or presents) they are not suddenly going to start going down-market for $½X, at least not until they are cold and hungry and reduced to wearing last year's fashions.

My last couple of trips to Moscow, I have been amazed at the number of new cars on the roads. The Volgas, Zhigulis and Ladas have been relegated to the suburbs and replaced by a brand new fleet of foreign cars. My Muscovite friends tell me this is all because of the advent of credit. The car loan has become very popular in Moscow, and, most of the cars on the road today are bought with borrowed money.

I doubt if the guys at the top will feel anything more than a light breeze from the banking crisis. They are much too well insulated from these kinds of events. But, we can always hope that if the babes at NF are faced with the repossession of their beautiful new Merc, they may decide that any cash in hand is better than nothing. At that point, hopefully, sex will become a volume business again.

A) assumed negotiated price was for all night
B) assumed the BBBJ was standard

And no... saving for a rainy day is not a Russian concept. There are a lot of people living above their means in Russia. In many ways, Russians are very American in their lack of financial caution. That and the new found love of boobjobs.

Curiously enough, pretty much ONLY the super rich and oligarchs are the ones with financial sense. They were the first to switch from savings in dollars to Euros and they are the ones putting a large chunk of their investments and personal fortunes into investments outside of Russia. A collapsing economy will paradoxically affect them the least. At the most, it'll make their lives in Russia cheaper and give them even more financial clout.

A collapse would however (as you previously stated) eventually mean more humane prices for us.
