Galaxy is a moneypit with no value and should be avoided at all costs!
It seems some things never change. Galaxy was a ripoff a few years ago (see my earlier post) as it is now. It is amazing to see Indians getting sucked into Galaxy because of the "white" skin addiction.
Amari has beautiful swimming pools, that I decided to visit on Saturday morning. It was over run by families with kids, a few couples, and very very few single dudes. I presume that all single dudes were sleeping away a night of debauchery But, of course, you don't want to hear about me swimming. So here's the short tale about the day we ran into the Russians!
Still pretty raw behind the ears, we started the evening with a trip to soapy massage places. Rasputin was all over the web, and became our first destination for the evening. As one walks in, a bevy of beautiful bombshells is seated close to the door. The four of us couldn't look away, even as we continued to walk deeper into the club. The dozen or so women had us by our balls. We then realized that there were more women, 40 or so, up ahead in another fish bowl configuration. Mama-san walks escorts us to our seats and offers up the usual deal. Reds for 2 k, blues for 2.5 k and whites for 3 k. Hesitatingly we inquire about the gals up by the door, and are politely informed that the "VIP" girls are 6 k (I later heard that the VIP gals have the right to refuse a customer. But could be grapevine). Mama-san clearly didn't expect us to upgrade ourselves, and pointed out to some cute women in the regular crowd. Didn't work; none of us could forget the visual treat, and we decided to get out. We shuffled our way out, grabbing another eyeful as we passed some of the the hottest Thai women.
As we walked away, we also rued our budget limitations, and decided to get drunk instead Found a beer bar on the street, and grabbed a handful. Got propositioned at the bar (which was nice), but it was still early. Anyway, we moved on, and some time later, found ourselves in Honey 2..
About the weather in Pattaya
Being British I have a weather related question. The twice I have been to Pattaya both visits were in March, I am planning to go in October but I see it is the wettest month, anyone been in October offer any insight as to if it is rainy most days then maybe it is best to do another month?
Thanks.
Hi my friend,
I've been looking for some information about it. Basically, December to March are the best months to go to Thailand. Though as with any tropical destination, a short and ridiculously torrential burst of rain is unpredictably possible, even on the sunniest of days. The Thai islands in the Gulf of Thailand. Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao. Tend to get less rain than the rest of the country (even in rainy season), and are at their best from the end of January until mid March. January is the freshest month. Great for after the Christmas and NYE party chaos. February is the driest month, one of the sunniest, and the heat still bearable; and March is sunny and dry, too.
The intense but usually brief downpours between June and October make this low season for tourists (and breeding season for mosquitoes). Rarely, though, does it rain all day or night. Temperatures fluctuate in the low 30's during the day; and between 25-27 degrees Celsius at night. Still a good time to come as the bars and beaches are less crowded, hotel rates lower and there's still lots of tenacious sunshine.
