I guess I am out of luck too, I have to stay at the Marriott when I come in 2 weeks, but the lucky part is I won't need to pay for it

It's my first time in Cebu, so I just wanted to know if it is a good platform for our hobby. I understand location is fine, but anyone know if the hotel is girl friendly?

Any recommended address for hunting in a walking distance?

There are plenty of good hotels around besides the Marriott, which of course is gf.
Check out Ratsky's in the mall and Infinity KTV across the street.
It would be nice to see a report from a first time vistor to Cebu.

Has anyone recent feedback about hotels such as Waterfront in both Cebu City and on Mactan Island; Parklane Hotel in Cebu City; Alta Village Resort and others in the Cordova area of Mactan Island. Room quality and experiences? 'Talent' at hotel cafes and restaurants? I have asked previously about Alta but no feedback resulted. Many thanks.

I would recommend the KTV bar near Ayala called Inifinity. It is literary within a 5 minute walk from the Ayala Center and the Parklane Hotel. For 4000 Peso, includes the bar fine AND the Girls fee where she keeps 2000 Peso of that fee, while the other 2000 goes to the bar. You can give them extra if you want. That combine with a mandatory room and bar drinks of 1500 peso leaves you out about 5500 Peso. That is a OK fee.

I liked the girl, and we made a side deal where she would be with me for 2000 Peso a night for the remainder of may stay in Cebu. She was great. Ok deal and the girls can sing as well as go back to your hotel room. I know that I paid more, but half the experience was being with the girl, and she make worth it. I like Infinity and will go back there in the next time I am in Cebu.

The Inifinity (Sic) has all the magic of a used car lot, maybe more. Its a rip-off that preys on first time western tourists.

In all my years in Cebu been there twice. Both times they were overbearing, pushy, and attempted to milk me for every cent I had by instructing you on everything - including what to drink.

You are better off taking a cab to the Mango St. bars or, better yet, to the Silver Dollar off Osmena Circle.

I agree with Billspu , Infinity , and the like (Jaguar , wherever) is for suckers.

But its all part of the process of learning how and where to get value.

I too was a sucker in years gone by. Occasionally they still get me to this day , lol.

Never had to step inside Infinity to find out if it was value or not though , lol.

Was in Cebu as a first timer and visited Silver Dollar last week, a total dump, 80% of the girls are old wrecks, a complete waste of time.

However, Mango St Bars, brilliant and inexpensive too. Vikings, BG Bar, Asian Flowers, etc all full of very nice, fit younger babes, with cheap beer at PHP 50, Ladydrinks 150 ish. Girl gets 40 of it.
Barfines 1700 -2000 Max, girl gets 700 - 1000 and didnt ask for any more either.

You can go in, buy a couple of drinks, choose any of the fit younger (barely 18+) babes, barfine her, and get away with spending less than 3000 for all night, now that is a bargain these days.

Yep I agree...Silver Dollar is the worst of the lot, its like a single bedroom lane with coachroaches rolling around plus cat and some girls. the quality is also poor...but lots of expats hang around for hours on end and there is no pressure to buy drinks etc...

If you have money to burn or quality as your goal...you should be better of at vikings and way way better off at jaguar and Arena if you have somehow evaded the tax in your home country and you ready to burn that money in Cebu ;)

Yes noted some of the old wrecks seen in Silver Dollar were the ex-pats !!!

Drinks Pressure in Mango St Bars was varied and not too bad in most cases. When they did get pushy, we found the the standard answer to work well:

''When we want to buy a drink we will ask for one, if you continue to be pushy we will leave''

and

Ýes the lady can have a drink when I buy myself one, until then, she can wait''

In most bars it worked very well and we were fairly generous with the drinks, but at 50 and 150 it was so much cheaper than the rip off Burgos in Makati, we didnt care too much.

Just before Vikings taxi driver said "fire", he was all excited etc. I told him to concentrate on getting me to destination.

Further down road it seemed the front doors of Viking were open and smoke was bellowing out. I said, Vikings on fire. Driver said yes.

Owners are on the run apparently, then fire, so should people be talking about Vikings as an option nowadays?

Went there once many years ago. Will not be going there again, but some guys might like to know if its in or out of business nowadays. If owners on the run then does that mean BG Bikini Bar and maybe one other are also non functional?

Any GoGo phile in cebu right now know what the actual situation is?

I was there on my first visit, 25th February, the day after the supposed Fire.
Apparently there was a fire in the Air Conditioning Unit that serves the Bars upstairs, BG to Eric the Red and Vikings below, same owners.

All upstairs bars were closed but Vikings was Open and fully functional, but no Aircon operating.
All girls from upstairs Bars were in Vikings, literally hundreds of them and hardly any customers at all. With no A/C the temperature was just bearable
It was an absolute Fanny Fest with barfines at PHP 1700 and an unbelievable choice of girls, some were unfamiliar with the bar and wanted to get out asap. They were all over us, very very friendly.

Went there next night and situation was same, but stifling heat was unbearable and we left for cooler bars over the road.

On night of 27th Feb all was back to normal, upstairs bars re-opened and Vikings was fairly cool and unfriendly.

So its business as usual now.
