I looked at the calculator and it is estimating probabilities based on one sexual encounter. However, as the number of encounters increases the probability of infection increases.

Let's take two examples: in one you have unprotected sex ten times and the probability of infection is 0.08 (8%). In the second example you have unprotected sex 100 times with the same probability of 0.08 (8%). With ten encounters the formula for calculating the probability is 1- (1-0. 08) to the 10th power and the probability is 0. 5656 (56. 56%) that you will get infected. With 100 encounters the formula for calculating the probability is 1- (1-0. 08) to the 100th power and the probability is 0. 9998 (99. 98%) that you will get infected.

Now let's say you spend a couple of weeks mongering in Bangkok and you have unprotected vaginal intercourse 20 times and lets for the sake of argument say you know nothing about the girls but we'll assume the probability of contracting an STD is 1:1000.
