I like the beach
However there are beaches all over the world but Sosua is the only place I can afford to go and fuck 19 year old pussy for $30 a pop. That is why I go to Sosua. I never knew I liked young pussy cause I never had any until I went to Sosua. You can find some girls trolling the beach but rarely are they exceptional. Truth be told everything in Sosua is available.
Just got back from six days in Sosua. Not your typical trip, never stepped foot in any of the bars on the strip. I traveled with a wingman which is sort of unusual for me but he has over 20 trips to the north coast and so do I. We flew into SDQ and saved about $300. Each by doing so but never again. Someone posted that Caribe Tours has an express bus to Sosua, we took it and it still took almost 5 hours to get there, fuck that in plain english, I don't need to save the money that bad. I left my house at 4 am And got to Mary Rose in Sosua at 10:30 pm, if I had flown into POP I would have been poolside with a cold Presidente in my hand by 3 pm And a lot less tired.
YES, LOL! That's what I am always preaching Mani. Like you said: I do not need to save money that bad. 5 hrs on a damn bus is for the birds. Hell, I don't even like to drive 5 hr to anywhere here in the States! Any money saved by flying into SD is negated with that long ass bus drive to Sosua, and then back to SD once your trip is over. When I go to Sosua, I love being able to arrive there and check into the hotel, hit the store to stock the fridge, shower, get something to eat and hit the strip and the sun is still out!

I told my wing that he could try to walk to the taxi stand or he could sit at Baileys while I went and got a taxi, he decided to try and walk. We got just around the corner on DR Rosen when two street rats came out of the woodwork, I truly don't know where they came from as I'm pretty on the ball when I'm walking anywhere late at night in a third world country but they they must have had a good spot as I never saw them until they were on top of us. Due to the narrowness of the sidewalks there I was walking in front of my wing when I heard "hola papi" and turned around just in time to yell to him to watch his pockets, in the meantime the second ladron was on me like a cheap suit telling me that she was not a ladron while she tried to reach her hand in my pocket, I slapped her filthy hand away and luckily as this was going down a taxi came by and I hailed him and we got in. So in essence the first two girls that we met on the street in Sosua tried to rob us, that's nice.
Imagine if the two of you had been drunk off your asses, or if it was you walking solo (and drunk off your ass).
I spent almost every day at playa Sosua entering on the Charamicos side, why more guys don't go there to pick up girls is beyond me. I will NEVER step foot on the strip in Sosua again for the reasons I have mentioned and between current contacts, FB and the beach there is absolutely no reason to, so I won't.
Did you find that chicas you met on fb were hesitant about coming to Sosua? Or were these chicas you met in Sosua on previous trips that were good performers?

After the bullshit at Baileys we decided to try the Midtown Bar and Restaurant which is in the Don Antonio complex, great food and the owner Allan is a cool guy. They are open from 8 am Til 10 pm In the low season, their food is top notch we ate there several times. You can also use the Don Antonio pool if you eat and / or drink at the restaurant and the pool is crystal clear and clean. While there I talked to the owner of Don Antonio at Allan's recommendation after I told him that I was looking for a three month rental. He is in the process of renovating some or all of the rooms there and he showed me one of the ones that were finished and they were quite nice albeit small, a lot smaller than Mary Rose but also a lot cheaper. I think I'll end up at the Mary Rose due to the size difference otherwise I would go with the Don Antonio due to location and crystal clean pool but it's just too small for me for a three month stay, a short stay might be different though, definitely worth checking out. The owner is changing the name of the Don Antonio and for the life of me I can't remember the new name, tough to get old, hahaha.

In closing, when it came time to return to SDQ for our return to the USA My wing insisted on taking a taxi which didn't take much convincing because if we took the bus we would have to have gotten up at about 3 am To catch the first bus based on how long it took to get to Sosua when we arrived. I called a driver that I have used many times at FOD, Johnnie. He wanted $250. ,no way. Just for laughs I had one of my girls call her tio,$350. ,hahaha. I called Nio and he wanted $180. ,done deal. He got us to the airport in three hours flat.
Can you describe the hoodrats that you got stopped by? On my last trip to Sosua, I was approached by a couple women who were walking down DR Rosen, around by Bailey's and over to Pedro Clisante. They first approached as I was walking down Rosen towards the strip, there was a little lighting on the road and a few people walking, but they were still quite aggressive and kept trying to reach for my pocket and I needed to basically push her hand away. They approached me again later at night (around 1 AM) as I was walking back to my hotel, this time in a poorly lit area off PC and from behind. Thankfully I'm quite aware of my surroundings and turned around to see them get right up to me, and while they were still aggressive and clearly trying to reach for my wallet / cell I was able to push them off and they walked off after seeing another group of guys approaching. Both of the women, I had seen around Sosua in my previous trips. One of them is named Vicky / Vikki and is from Santo Domingo. I am not sure if it's the same person you encountered.
Sosua for the most part has been extremely safe for me, I've never faced an issue. However, a reminder to all guys visiting. Be aware of your surroundings especially when walking at night. When the restaurants and bars in the areas surrounding the strip close, the area becomes a little less lighted and there are some characters around that warrant caution.

Also flying in and out of Santiago is another cheaper option than POP and closer. I have stayed at a cabana called the Eclipse near the airport for 900 pesos per night (that's a little over US $20 including the tax) which is useful for flights arriving late at night or leaving early in the morning. You can get a taxi to drop you there and then arrange for him to pick you up again at chosen time. For two people sharing this would be a very cheap option and you could connect with the Caribe tours buses and pay only 150 pesos each for the run over to Sosua. Most of the Santiago flights to through New York, but some to Miami too. The taxi from the bus station to the airport or vice versa is 800 pesos, or 900 pesos to split the journey at the cabana, so a cheaper option than Santo Domingo both on the taxi and on the bus, with a shorter journey.

Did you find that chicas you met on fb were hesitant about coming to Sosua? Or were these chicas you met in Sosua on previous trips that were good performers?
This is definitely a concern of mine going forward but on this trip it wasn't a problem because all of the girls, even the FB one were "in the game". My experience in getting girls from FB is that if she agrees to meet up with a guy my age she knows the score. If I were to be a younger guy I am sure that I would be getting some girls that were closer to the non-pro classification but that's not the case, I'm 56 years old. Regardless, I have gotten a much better class of girls than I would have trolling So-sewer without a doubt, not all will show up but most will if you have some spanish and stay in contact up until and as soon as you land on island. My wings problem is despite 10 years of going to the DR his vocabulary is about ten words long, my spanish isn't anything to brag about but I can hold a conversation somewhat and understand a girl if she isn't babbling rapid fire. If I could find a place to rent in Puerto Plata that would meet my needs for a three month rental I would skip the Sosua scene altogether as I would much rather be in Puerto Plata but I haven't found one.

The Santiago flights didn't save enough money for me to be worth it on this trip because I was flying out of BOS on this trip, my wingman could have saved some serious money out of MIA though.
Frannie, thanks for the suggestion on the Nokia 520 phone, I bought one on Ebay unlocked for $80. And it worked great. I tried to get it activated at the Claro store in the Caribe Tours terminal but the guy claimed that the system to put my passport info was down. I tried again in the new market Grand Polo (sp?) in Sosua and the guy didn't have a micro sim card which I found really odd as they are standard issue in most smartphones now. Then I went to the Claro store right in Sosua and he was able to get me up and running but he couldn't do it in my name for apparently the same reason the guy in the terminal and I ended up putting it in a girls name. I'll get a new sim card in my name on my next trip, no big deal. Phone worked great though.
Can you describe the hoodrats that you got stopped by?
Not really, in a case like this one's focus needs to be on the girls hands and I had two sets to watch out for as my wingman was 75 years old and quite helpless so you can imagine what I was dealing with. The girl that approached my wingman looked quite small spinner type and the girl that approached me was a bit heavy and not pretty, no wonder she was a thief as she probably couldn't make enough at the P4 P game. Another reason to travel solo, which is what I usually do, I hate being a damned babysitter.

Always take a motoconcho, and as Pooter advised, for many reasons, always select an older driver.
But you knew that anyway, and we do take chances.
I walk DR Rosen a lot, but later in the evening I especially look out for trouble. Being aware of the potential, I've managed to avoid it (so far)
Incidentally the updated, Windows Phone 8. 1 operating system is now available for download with some improvements including Cortana, the artificial intelligence system that is equivalent to Apple's Siri and some improvements in the display.
I would also recommend downloading the Nokia Maps map of the DR to the phone, as this can be used offline and can be useful. In Bing Translate, you can also download the Spanish language, so again you do not need to be online to use it, although for spoken translations you still need a connection.
It is also worth downloading the Nokia Camera program and editing suite to get some pretty good photographs. The first here was taken in very low light, and the second from the air.
Photos: 1: Instruction sheet for sexual intercourse, Eclipse cabana, 2: Miami from the air, 3: Dildos in sex shop in Sosua, 4: Sosua in summertime.
I like Playa Sosua a lot. It is the biggest draw to Sosua for me. I can see how there is no need to hit the strip, but I like to party and hang out late on vacation so it suits me.
La playa is really the only attraction for me now and some of the bars on the outskirts. I like to party as much as anyone but prefer to start early and end fairly early. The great thing about Sosua is you can find a party at any hour, the bars, clubs, beach or make your own. I personally just have no use for picking up girls on the strip, too many starfish, attitudes and crooks.

A couple of recent robberies too. (Casa Valeria and Terra Linda).
Just sayin'.
This is definitely a concern of mine going forward but on this trip it wasn't a problem because all of the girls, even the FB one were "in the game".
I have asked people to come see me in Sosua. Mostly from Santiago or La vega. I really have not noticed much hesitation a) because they know me for a while even though they may not have met me physically b) because the place I stay in is not in Sosua. The women like the exotic cuisine or a good Austrian dessert. Indeed this trip, an invitee went with me to the cigar store at the corner. Where the owner is German. We then stayed outside sitting and she too smoked my cigar. Which was definitely nice. On a previous trip, another woman was drinking a beer with me while I was smoking a cigar. Standing right on the strip with women around. On a third occasion, I stayed at hotel Coco with their access to a private beach. Then too, the woman walked with me, the length of the main strip. This last one is a serious Med student and is halfway through. Point being, if they like you, they would get over it and given that they walk with you, there is no risk of being accosted by the cops.
By the way, I met an Italian girl working at the Italian restaurant next to the Cuban bar. Very pretty, thin, and Roman. Oops, native of Rome. She recounted that she did modeling all over South America and both of us were speaking in halting Italian given our Spanish interference, while she was making my expresso stretto. Unfortunately, I had a guest with me which squashed all possibility of taking it further. The next day, the last day of mine, she was not in the restaurant. Enterprising people may look her up there.
