I've got a decent lineup already screened (mix of returning ones from last time + some new through FB and friends / family). I wanted to try PL, but I'm running into a few setup hurdles. I need to create a new iCloud account (a google voice number didn't work), and then set up an app store with a new virtual card. Any thoughts on the best way to navigate these issues? Also, PL doesn't allow setting up app payment through the web, it requires going through the App Store. Not sure why they're willing to give up a significant percentage of their revenue to Apple or Google. I haven't tried FC, maybe I will look at it. Thanks G.

Over time, I've learnt the hard way it's best to go in with flexibility but be prepared to act upon opportunities as they arise.

I'll have a contacts list with old associates that I know I can call on a whim and maybe a few girls that will know that I'm arriving in their town in a few days. With respect, forget about spreadsheets and rosters. They are a waste of time and will only lead to frustration.

I've even expanded this attitude to cities and hotel bookings. I'll arrive with a day or two accommodation pre-booked and if I like it, I stay. If I don't, I move hotels and / or town. In many years I've only ever had one time where I've had any issues with extending or finding a room.

You would be surprised the number of great times I've had that were spontaneous or totally unexpected.

Not sure why PL have changed their subscriptions to be App based. They have also removed the longer eg yearly subscriptions and everything is month by month now. Improved revenue and consistency I expect but I agree it's a PITA from the customer side.

The locals don't view either punctuality or even showing up as necessary*, the way that westerners do. Plans and schedules on your part are not necessarily so on her part.

* In fact, locals don't even see it as needed that they will msg you to tell you that they aren't coming to an event you've scheduled and invitation they've agreed to (meeting for joy, business meeting, going to your party, going to a birthday party, going to a debut, going to mass, going to a christening, yada yada yada). They do this to each other without thinking. The offended friend who invited them to the party won't bother calling them to ask: "Are you coming? We spent a lot of money on food here". Nor will he / she mention it later to the friend (s) they invited who never showed up. Showing up is completely optional.

Have told stories like this before. Once went to a Bday party for a child, and only a few guests came went for the few hours that I was there. Lots of food was catered in (LOTS). I asked the father of the child how many people were invited. "Sixty. About. Half family, half friends". A week later over coffee I asked him how many showed up, as attendance seemed sparce. "Half, about". The other half accepted the invite? "Yes". Do they ever call to say they aren't coming? "No". Ticked they didn't show? "No. Its not needed. Just we have a lot of new food to eat for a few days" (true, they wrapped a huge plate of food for me and tried to get me to take it home).

Moral of the story: Pinoy don't feel an obligation to follow the agreed invite, nor to notify you that they will be late or are not coming. If they do notify, its a real extra-mile courtesy. Don't get peeved if she doesn't show up. She might have had: 1) A better financial offer; or 2) Her gramma insisted the girl spend the night at the gramma's place to help ward off spirits or help with sick grandpa; or 3) Her friends invited her out for drinks tonight.

Things usually go well here, but not necessarily as planned.

Ways around this problem for two-week warriors:

* Use your hotel guard (not so much your condo / residence guard). Slip him a brown note and make it known you are looking for a girl today / tonight. See PhilJoy's posts regarding such. I have read the forum and taken extensive notes. I am the type that does not like to go to bars to pick up girls. So Burgos Street will likely not be my first preference. A lot of them say that they are looking for something serious and not for casual. Do you guys leave these profiles alone, or is this just something that the girls say? Also, is it worthwhile to try to build up a roster of ladies now, or wait until the last minute? The difference is that (semi) pros will come straight to your hotel where as civies and good girls will want to meet for a coffee or similar first. If she has commitments, then meeting after work or school is very common.

2/. Pinas are very approachable even those not on the game. Your plans are very achievable. Be polite and respectful and part timers and students will be happy to meet you and come back to your room. One thing to remember though is that work and travel times for girls with real jobs can be brutal. Hence, it can take literally weeks to find a gap in her schedule.
