The Clarity Act cloture vote fails
The Democrats gave a set back to The Clarity Act. Hurting me and 70 million of my fellow citizens in the process. No Democrats in the Senate voted for the cloture vote. Just one more example of the Democratic Party putting the petty personal differences ahead of the needs of ordinary citizens like myself.

The Supreme Court comes through for regular people yet again!
Neither party is mine not the donkey or the elephant!
Led by Blue state California. I'm sure you saw the only state in your link specifically cited in the title of the lawsuit against democracy-hating Trump was "v California. ".

Democratic state officials and voting rights groups challenged the restrictions in court, arguing that the president has no constitutional authority to set election rules that would virtually eliminate mail voting on the eve of a major election.
Did you honestly think a gaggle of Repub Trump ass-lickers in Red states were going to lead the charge against the latest Repub attempt to shitcan a free and fair election and get this done? LOL.
Republicans Still Racist after 150+ years
Welcome to the 1960's flip. Racists in the South were pulled away from voting for Democrats due to their far, far superior economic policy results by Republican Party race-baiting tactics to make them hate blacks more than they like jobs creation and wage gains.
Suckers.
...
Republican Party Campaign Consultant and Strategist Lee Atwater was a revered giant in the Republican Party's Southern Strategy methods for making sure White Racists understood that Reagan,
It wasn't about which Party got the White Racist votes prior to the 1960's flip or after the 1960's flip. It's about the voters who want the White Racist agenda and which Party's candidates will deliver it for them. And since the 1960's it has been Republican Party candidates. It has been a great way for them to sell their policies that further enrich their millionaire, billionaire and now trillionaire donors at the expense of everyone else as long as they can convince suckers that Blacks, transgenders and "communists" are after their jobs, sons, daughters and freedom.
Spot On!
While the Democrat Party has never been perfect on their political race, gender, equality or crime policies or governing, historically they have championed these human rights, meaningfully, but again, it's not always going to be everyone's satisfaction. For the most part, they have always served hardworking American people and not the just the billionaire donor class.
The Republican Party, on the other had have only ever championed, their White Racist agenda, meant to keep Americans divided, taken away American rights and freedoms, and suckered their base into stupid culture-wars, strategically away from the real political issues of the day. While they sever their real slave masters and overlords, their billionaire buddies, always enriching themselves and picking the pockets, at the cost and lives of hardworking Americans.
As the MAGA claims Dems are racist, and yet no clear cut examples or evidence to prove it, allow me to show you just how racist, Republicans are:
Republicans claim they're NOT racist, as they shutdown close to 100 polling stations in a key battleground district, in the predominately Black neighborhood in Forth Worth, Texas, ahead of the 2026 mid-Terms elections.
So I guess, with SCOTUS denying the MAGA Fuhrer's illegal attempt to shutdown mail-in voting, it's back to "good old fashion" Jim Crow, election suppression tactics?
SWB Tech is the way to go!
Hey Spidy,
Yeah, how can I forget, the convo about SMRs in the DR and energy related strategies for the island, was epic!
No doubt my brother. The most civil and intelligent discussion I have had on ISG since I have been posting.
We should do a follow up discussion or an update, as to what are your current ideas, on what the DR should do for energy?
Yes, let's do it!
Still think nuclear/SMRs are the solution for DR?
No, I have come around to your way of thinking. SWB is the way to go. Because of 3 things:
1. Length of time it takes to bring SMRs online.
2. SWB technology has developed and will continue to develop it may make SMR obsolete before they can ever come on line an produce power.
3. I am personally pursing that route for my business in the Dominican Republic.
Good to have you back Spidy!
A historical review of The Cmdr's posting history reveals the following
They will! The Fed will raise interest rates three times before the year ends. Inflation is running at 4. 1% annually. The oil shock will take six months to flow through the economy. Food prices will be up 30% in the Dis United States of America, before the end of the year.
I'm on the record. On January 1, 2027, call me out if I'm wrong. I'll stand and take my grade.
I received some push back.
3rd, yeah with Trump's guy at the head of the FED I see only one possible rate increase between now and the end of the year based on current data. But if the Fed does decide to raise interest rates, it most likely will not happen until after the election unless there is hard new evidence of significant new inflation growth.
I predicted 3 interest rates hikes before the end of the year. One down! And it happened before the election. Two more to go. The jury is not in yet!
The Federal Reserve unanimously raised its benchmark interest rate by 25 basis points on September 16, 2026, increasing the target range to 3.75%-4.00%

The most interesting fact of the last week was seeing oil prices decline and the stock market rally after the "truce" ended and the bombing of Iran resumed indicating the IRGC may be running out of cards to play and its ability to influence oil prices is waning. And this is very good news even for Trump haters even though they will never admit it.
Oil Prices are currently over 100 USD a barrel.
Anyone checked the price of diesel lately?
Did I miss the FACTS that outlined Dems are factually undeniably racist?
https://www.newsweek.com/democratic-party-most-racist-organization-america-opinion-1976128
Neither party is mine!
SubCmdr, I thought you were a man of FACTS verses opinions? So if I missed the FACTS in that OPINION piece, let me know!
The opinion piece you shared is provocative, and has a juicy (albeit inaccurate) headline, and all but focuses on what could be seen as internal party racial squabbling and bickering, and less about the real legislative FACTS, policies and political record, that still show Democrats are championing civil rights, women's rights, and LGBTQ rights, equal rights and racial injustice, rather than the infactual racist party, that the author suggests it has become.
The Democrat political record, policies and FACTs around which party has done more for civil, minority or equal rights, speaks for itself and is a stark asymmetrical historical pattern of trying to do and doing the right legislative thing, for minority groups, when compared to Republicans.
Despite the laughable misconceived notion of Democrat internal party racism, as a some planned, carried out mass party policy, that "pales in comparison" to the Lee Atwater's Southern strategy, is ludicrous. FACT: Dems have had "racist" temerity, put forth a NOT one, BUT two (2) Black candidates and two (2) women candidates for president. Repubs NOT one in either category (not that this is an indicator of being racist or sexist, but it sure is telling).
Don't forget, Lee Atwater's Southern strategy, was indeed a planned systemic, state-sanctioned political project designed to win and hold power by codifying racial hierarchy into law and policy, designed to inflict cultural conflicts, about holding White power, representation, and resource distribution.
Needless to say, the Democratic Party has been the primary architect of nearly every major piece of civil rights, women's rights, and LGBTQ rights legislation, while the modern Republican Party has, for decades, has been the primary source of opposition to those efforts.
