It seems the PR Chinese are getting a lot more economically active in Indonesia in the last couple of years and when they visit, they're splurging on drinks and girls. But sure, the majority are probably still the old crowd from other places.

As for salaries: 300 USD is about the current minimum wage in Jakarta, 270 in rest of Indonesia. On paper. But only large corporations and western companies care about that. The majority of Indonesians are in informal employment. The median actual income is estimated at about 230 USD per month. So below the national minimum wage for formal contracts. I have several contacts who work in shops, food stalls and similar in northern Jakarta. They all give the same salary range of 1 to 1,5 Million Rupia. As they don't know each other, it's unlikely they are coordinating to deceive me.

So dear newcomers: don't ruin the market. Give a tip for special service, sure. But appropriate. Some gentle kissing and touching doesn't justify a 50% tip. Do you think the room is free? The bribes to the police that the establishment has to manage? The sheets and towels that are changed? The room cleaners? Tip what you want but girls get about 100 K max from each session. And you can't control other peoples behaviour on tipping any more than you can control their sexual demands in the room. That's not how markets behave. Luckily there are many other ways to get laid in Jakarta at places not called Classic.

There are guys claiming that they get every service under the sun as a given, including BBFSCIP. It's just a matter of a tip. You just need to have the right vibe and game. But they always hedge their statements by saying it is "virtually guaranteed", "should be possible" or something like that. Right, YMMV. Nothing is guaranteed. Unlike some of the MPs in Bangkok, Classic does not list the individual services that girls will perform. And if you ask, Mamis will tell you anything you want to hear (ie lie) in order to get you to sign the ticket, so totally unreliable. The only way you can be sure of getting exotic (for Jakarta) services like CIM, COF, etc is to negotiate in advance. Even then, you will be hard pressed to find a girl that will do CIM, considering that they drench your junk in mouthwash just to give the occasional not guaranteed BBBJ. And forget getting COF. When you see how much makeup is caked on their face, you will understand how they would not want to have to redo it after getting her face covered in your spunk.

Another analogy: Even the strongest predators in the wild primarily rely on stealth rather than overt display/ consumption of strength to take down their targets. In our case the target is our activity/mongering encounters and the strength is money (use it wisely).

At the end of the day your money your choice, but nobody becomes rich by throwing away money. If you have more money left than what you had budgeted for your trip then buy a souvenir for your family, wife, girlfriend or just colleagues / acquaintances at work at least that will buy you some goodwill.

You just have to understand that only a clear and straight "yes", accompanied by a nod and a smile should be understood as a yes. Hesitation or the slightest restriction in her answer must be considered a "no". And, please, don't invent offering tips for DFK. If she doesn't like it, she will be bad at providing it anyway. I would be going to Jakarta to session with Indonesian girls, not Chinese so this would kind of suck if it's becoming like Singapore where the scene has imported instead of local product.

Vendelo is referring to the customer's country of origin, but you would be wrong to assume that Jakarta bordellos only offer indigenes girls. Malioboro and 1001 Pool, for example, both have a large selection of foreign girls as well as Indo girls. The Indo girls tend to be younger and they are less expensive, but once in a while I will spot an attractive Viet gal that I can't resist and have to have her, or like the last time I was in Malioboro, I chose an Asiatic looking Kazakhstan girl and had a great time with her. The variety is good in Jakarta.

I'm usually paying 400-500 there (including BBFS), of which the girl receives 250-300. But they commonly have only one customer a day. The girls at Travel are receive about 130-150 of the pay last time I checked (covered service). But they have more customers.

Also I'm not "controlling" you, my gosh. But there are Newcomers who don't know the lay of the land (I. E. There is no tipping culture "just because") and it's best to clarify things before Jakarta turns into the next Angeles City. That is: the Philippines are equally poor, but excessive tipping culture and overpay made the services as expensive as Thailand or Colombia (significantly more developed countries).

That appears to be locals and local Chinese more, though the comments below may also indicate overseas Chinese also starting to be significant in number. Note that local Chinese also tend to behave much like the foreign visitor Chinese, so may not be readily distinguishable on the surface. The other Indonesians just refer to 'Chinese' as a result, as a race / culture not distinguished by source country.

And what do the Chinese like to do? Pay the most to show off to their friends / business partners / anyone else around them: to demonstrate they are the richest and best around. Hey I paid the most out all of all you for the hottest girl. I'm the best. Hey, here's a girl for you, the most expensive one I can find, for completing the deal with me. Hey, here's a 4 juta watch for being a friend of my friend's mistress, business is good so why don't you have this. This last one is an actual recent fact in Jakarta. Please also note how many of them are fully supporting mistresses to the same financial extent as their wives.

This is what you are competing against more and more. Countered in part by Indians visiting on business who are more nickel and dime'rs in general (not always though), who make up the other numbers besides Chinese in CJs these days. Bule are a small minority there now, verses a good majority of the male patronage in years gone by.

But everyone goes to McDonalds now and again instead of upmarket restaurants, and hence why you see the above groups in Classic too.

They generally aren't hunting for a quick bang in a super cheap hotel with a street girl though, so that area of the trade may be more resistive to high level inflation. Also, many girls prefer Bule and may offer a lower price, because many of the Chinese are total dicks to them and treat them as a commodity. So there is still light at the end of a long, dark tunnel.

I am from India BTW, I travel solo for this hobby, but that doesn't mean I speak for all Indians. There is a garden variety of mongers / spenders in India also some who will count every penny and negotiate prices for peanuts also and others who will throw cash at a girl like raindrops in rain for just some erotic dancing (not even a strip dance at that) but these are people who are most likely politicians, have family wealth or part of a criminal enterprise for whom cash is only a means to an end. I believe this will be the case for any country / culture but one person or group doesn't represent the entire country, so I won't remark on that. Personally I study the average going rate of any service beforehand and then spend according to mkt avg. + tips for something exceptional (it could be a service, the way the girl behaved which made me vibe with her or anything that sent me on cloud 9). I was in Prague last year and spent 100-150 Euro for erotic massages without sex and gave tips over there also for worthy performers and I also gave tips to girls in Indonesia where it was worth earlier in 2025, but were both the cost of the ordeal and tips scale the same? obviously not despite both ending in a single release.
