I'll be coming to Phuket in a little while and was wondering if any of you esteemed gentleman could answer my Q.
Are there still any gogo bars with topless or nude shows around Phuket?
I checked the forum but the posts mentionning this refined form of entertainment date back to two years ago.
Seems like a great way to start the night with some friends before moving on to serious mongering.

quick note: apologies for any plagiarism in this compilation (it is just stuff from older posts, with a little info sourced from other places) and thank you all the people who originally posted the info. if anyone is peeved that i have compiled their info, ask and i will remove it – or i can credit you directly if you would prefer. i haven't done this straight off the bat, as i didn't want to have to do the whole thing with the harvard reference system. well ok, maybe i did – but it might have made the post even more confusing.
also, as this is primarily for my benefit (with a domino benefit for anyone else who reads it), can anyone tell me if any of this info is way off for the late december/january period that i will be travelling?
on arrival at phuket airport walk all the way out the front of the airport, turn right, and go 30 m to the metered (yellow) taxi stand. fare should be thb 350, and take less than 40 min to patong.
places to stay with no joiners fee, and close to bangla road (i think, please correct me if i am wrong for any of these and suggest other places):
baan tonnum guesthouse, ratpathanusorn 67/13-14, thb 600
hot curry, add mansion, rat-u-thit 200 road, corner soi kapsap, thb 500 – 800
rico's hotel on bangla road thb 800 (can also find cheapish rates on latestays.com for here).
grand orchid, 78/17-18 soi permpong pattana 3, thaweewong road, thb 900 mini standard, thb 1400 superior,
some soi nanai places?
p4p activities:
phuketgazette.com ads for massage services to your room, thb 300. 500 for initial massage, same again for fs.
bangla st has a fair amount of sw, (i would be guessing thb 1. 5k maximum for lt – please advise). after main gogos and bear bars have closed (1 or 2 am) prices go down as bar girls try for last pickings of mongerers.
generally in places with bf, you only need to buy a lady drink or two (thb 120).
in discos thb 1. 5k – 2k lt expected price, gogos up to thb 3k lt + bf (for a stunner though. meh, or wait for cheaper locations). does this price go up in peak season, or should these still be the prices people should try to negotiate to (and keep as their 'line in the sand'), so they/ we do not ruin the ongoing scene?
in places with bf, you should only ask the bf amount, then give the lady the amount recommended on the forum. never say you are new to the area – always say you have been to thailand fairly often in recent years to avoid newbie price inflation.

patong beer bars thb 500 bf/ 300 bf later (honky tonk more expensive), thb 1. 5k st, thb 2k lt
tiger disco bangla road (near corner of soi rat uthid 20 [url=http://isgprohibitedwords.info?CodeWord=CodeWord134][CodeWord134][/url], hard to miss from youtube videos of it) thb 1k st, thb 1. 5k lt no bf. this seems to be a popular option.
soi tiger (if not the same as above tiger? different price quoted in a post) thb 1. 5k st, thb 300 bf
suzie wong's gogo, bangla road (and sw2) thb 2k lt, thb 1k st (low season).
in phuket town. thb 500 st for sw.

A note for my Phuket summary
Just to make this absolutely transparent - I am wrote this (the last big post) to check that the information is correct (rather than suggesting that I know it to be true through experience), so PLEASE tell me any mistakes I have made, or suggest any additions.
I know that many on the forums suggest RTFF, and the summary could be taken as a 'cheat sheet' for others, but I understand it can be/ is daunting trying to read over a years worth of posts in the lead up to a trip, especially if you are travelling all over SE Asia (different districts, cities, and countries), so hopefully this helps out some people.
It will also mean that new members are hopefully less likely to overpay and jack up the prices.
