Even so, I'm not an American nor living in Peru and could open a debit account at Interbank, however in my experience it was not possible to open an account at a main Interbank bank, they refered me to a Interbank shop at one of the Vivanda supermarkets around Miraflores, which processed my account in 20 min (the address I gave was from a friend), with only my passport and drivers license. BTW, opened 2 accounts, one local and one US currency, minimum deposit was 25 USD each...

I do not take out multiple $200 withdrawal monthly , the fees are charged only when you SEND or RECEIVE the transfers, once the money is in your account the fees for withdrwal is pennies. If you take out in US$ and your account is US$ pennies in cost of withdrawal, if the account is in US$ and you take out soles then you get the crappy bank rate of exchange but the fees for taking out are also only pennies.

Best plan, open account in US$, Take money out in US$ wheather it is $200 or $2000 at a time., Obviously if you transfer very small amounts ($200 or $500) then this will not be good for you, but if you transfer let say $5000 per month or per transaction then it works very well.

If you only want small amounts, your US Bank card can be used in Peru at any ATM , and you can withdraw either US$ or Soles (converted by the Peru bank rate). Best to take the US$ cash and go to money exchanger on the street in Green Jacket or exchange offices.

Lince is the next neighborhood up from miraflores.

The yellow/mustard building is located on block 17 of petit thours. All you will see is this yellow looking house and a front gate. Walk past the gate and ring the buzzer. They charge you 1 sole to come in....a few rooms with girls standing around their door or inside their room. The going rate is 30 soles for 15 minutes or 50 for 30 minutes. I took the half hour deal.

Prices for everything have really gone up. I would put costs on par with colombia for the most part minus the sex which is a better deal in colombia.

One of the main reasons I come here is for the GFE experiences. I do have two girls I am involved with at the moment but costs keep me from calling more. I don´t want any leeches hanging on me because its gotten too expensive for that. I used to spend $50 on a date for two....dinner movies cabs etc. These days its more like $70/80 for that date. Even miraflores chifa is running scams with their menu. That has been a huge blow to me this trip but I am compromising as all mongers need too.

The dollar is pegged to be at 7.75 by years end!

Yes 2.75 which turns lima into any other overpriced city. The only advantage a monger would have is the gfe experiences. However at a cost similar to most cities in SA. Lunch is still a deal though!

I have another Lima trip behind me and as usual, it was mostly work. But this time was very different and close to beyond belief.

IMHO its a pretty good deal if you get the services you want especially in the comfort of your hotel room.. I found 50/50 will do bbbj for that price. Time has never been an issue with me but I've never clocked it either. I talk ST 1hr.

It depends on what time of day you go:

Entrance before 6pm is 10 soles. After 6pm its 15 soles.It used to be 5...comes with a drink coupon for soda or water. It used to include a beer. Small beers run 7 soles large 10 soles.

Between 3 and 6pm sessions run 35 soles 6pm-11pm 40 soles 11pm until closing 50 soles.

With all the crap going on in Mexico lately, I am thinking of just flying over it and fulfilling a long held desire to visit Peru for the first time. Does Lima offer the most potential, safety, etc. For first timers?

On average, I've always heard that the girls of Peru are more ethnically "American Indian" in appearance, and some have told me that per capita Peruvian girls are downright ugly compared to Mexican girls.
