2006 Bangkok Reports

After many years in Thailand I have finally concluded that there ain't "no free lunch" when it comes to Thai women. When I first met my Thai GF four years ago she had her own business, apartment and took me out for dinner. Now several years later she has sold her business moved in with me full time and I am finding it damn expensive. Seems like I am now expected to be the "sponsor" for her whole damn family. Stupid me is even paying to send her sister through college. I would like to get out of this situation , but I suppect that is going to cost me also.

OTH, I have been coming to BKK for several years now and have always been involved in the P4P scene. Never even considered dating or even having a relationship with a TG. However, I met one on my trip there in September. Saw her with her friends at Siam Square. She was absolutely beautiful, sweet, kind, and a joy to be around. She would not "put out" at all the whole week I was there with her. I was back in BKK in October, November, and December and saw her each time. She even traveled to Phnom Penh with me and we shared a bed but no sex. It took me being with her on the November trip, the third one, before she "allowed" me to enjoy her company. What a great experience. I could tell she wasn't that experienced but her eagerness to make me happy was unbelievable. She is not young, 30, but looks much younger. Has a bachelor's degree, worked the same regional job for 6 years, and has her own car and apartment. No different then her in the USA. I think my mongering days are over but I did enjoy them while they lasted. Hey guys, don't pass on the "good girls" in Thailand. I'm not looking to get married to her yet but I will visit BKK in February and March and if all goes well I'll take it from there. Also, this woman has never asked me for a penny and has never been married before. She is a real joy.

It comes down to trying to set boundaries (difficult because they all have expectations of Farang) - how far are you willing to go?...meaning, I suppose, how much a girl means to you, or how much does it mean to you to have a regular GF as opposed to simply playing the P4P game.

In some ways, I envy the mongers on this board - ignorance is truly bliss. They come for their 2 weeks, and meet what they think are hotties - (as you and I both know, mostly mediocre girls from the bottom of the barrel) - have a comparatively good time, anyway and then go home to dream about their next trip to LOS.

If you live here, you quickly realize through experience and availability (unless you're a complete bonehead) that P4P is boring, unacceptable and unsatisfying, but that the alternative, getting a regular girl (or several) is going to still cost you, just in a different way. I'm having a similar problem to you with my GF, except the difference is, I don't have to really help her family because they are financially ok. But, because she's the "baby of the family", she has always been (and still is) catered to by her family. Consequently, she expects the same from me. Although she works, she never has money because she spends it all. After a rather expensive December, what with Christmas and the traditional New Years gold purchase, I have told her "No more". This morning, she's moody and crabby because she can't have her way. At the moment, I still think she's worth the trouble. But, I am still contemplating the possibility of an exit, if things don't improve. But, I'm a little nervous because both of her brothers are cops (one nearby, at Thong Lor station) and her father is an official at the Ministry of Education. It could cost me, not just in money, but in other ways as well.

I've come to realize that whatever you do, where Thai women are involved, it always involves large amounts of hassle. As lovely, charming and incredibly sexy as they can be when they're happy, a lot of them can quickly become petulant, childish brats when things don't go their way.

Then again, maybe that's true of all women.

For those who have had some experience in Bangkok, how often do you get a "dead fish experience" with the Thai women?

I ask this because I discovered P4P women about 3 years ago. I have sought out the various venues in my area where such women can be found. The three main choices in this area are some sleazy strip joints on the bad side of town, there is 1 American Massage parlor that offers full service, and several Asian massage parlors. My favorite by far is the Asian Massage parlors. The American girls seems to be real hit or miss. Sometimes you get the DFE sometimes you don’t. The Asian’s, who are pretty much either Thai or Korean, seem to take a lot more pride in their work and offer a much better experience. They are always clean, always smell good and never rushed. They cost a little more but it’s well worth it in my book. They are also fanatics about condom use which I think is great.

I ask this because I like DATY but only if there is little to no smell and want to know what to expect on my first trip to BKK. Do the Thai working girls take good care of themselves or should I expect more hit or miss as well?

I agree with OTH. mostly with just alittle variation.
Its true I am not that experienced with regular Thai girls in terms of numbers. But many years of experience with just a couple.
Only 2 Thai girlfriends that were not in P4P. A couple of other ex-P4P GFs.
One difficulty is not living and working in Thailand on a full time basis. Also opportunities had been limited based on spending too much time mongering of course.
My 1st real Thai girlfriend was a chef that I met outside Thailand and lasted for several years. Unfortunately we were sexually incompatible. However she is a great girl and we are still close friends.

Perhaps OTH does himself a dis-service to say that stunners are easy to get for old blokes. Maybe OTH is a superior choice for them for some reason.

I've never been to the International Club, but I think the first mistake was to pay the 3000 baht up front. When you find the girl you want, ask the LT and ST rates are and pay her the 3000 baht in the morning, if she stays all night. Otherwise, give her the ST rate when she leaves.

I always pay after services rendered, so I don't get screwed.

In BKK GoGo bars, I paid 1500-2000 baht ST in March '06, depending on how much I really wanted the girl. Many forum posters will say 1000 baht ST, but (IMHO) I believe these are Beer Bar girl rates and not Club / GoGo rates.

I come from the USA guide in Arizona. I have a three day excursion into Bangkok coming in the first week of Feb. I have never been to Bangkok but would like to get the most bang for the buck...or bhat. I have a couple of questions.

1. I am flying into Bangkok Int'l Airport. Which hotels are recommended for visiting the Soi Cowboy, Patpong and NEP. I guess preferably one's that are visitor friendly and convenient for transportation. I am traveling solo, so I don't need a 5 star but I want to be safe.

2. In my mind, I would prefer a young lady that could stay with me for my entire stay. This would allow me to visit other area's of Bangkok without concern for finding additional lady friends for company. Are there these type of ladies available? Where would I find them.

3. My visit will be on a Sunday - Wednesday, will there be sufficient activity during this part of the week?

4. In reading Bangkok Bob's website, there is a portion of about the Artist bar's. Are these area's worth while?

You know most, no I take that back, ALL of the answers to yoru questions are posted in the Bangkok boards. There is even a board that specifically talks about hotels.

I would suggest you use the search functions to find the answers to your questions. Also read most if not all of the Reports of Distinction before asking these questions, those reports contain a lot of great information and will help you out.

Have fun on your trip. You shouldn't have any problems finding a girl that will milk you..., I mean stay with you for the entire time.

You want a hotel in the Sukhumvit area. The Nana Hotel is right on ground zero and is inexpensive, safe, and will meet all of your needs.

Finding a girl to be with you for the time U are here will be no problem, this hotel is right across the street from the NEP and between that and the bar & disco in the Nana Hotel that should keep U busy for your time here. You will be right in the center of the fun. Better book your hotel now.

In addition to capt JB's excellent advice (Nana Hotel was where I stayed during my first trip to BKK after researching the forum) I would suggest either staying at Livingstone's or at least popping there to network with other mongers. I learnt a lot from meeting and chatting to people who were just tags in this forum beforehand. Being solo and a newbie you'll get a lot from staying at Livingstone's.

Safety wasn't really an issue for me but maybe I've been lucky.

Look forward to your report. I've always tried to write something about my experiences even if they never match those posted by the more experienced members of the forum.

Patpong - Frankly a little scary. Loads of people in your face. Got ripped off during my first trip there and the ping pong shows aren't even remotely sexy... more like fasinating in a weird kinda way. The razer blades - how anyone can find that sexually exciting is beyond me but I appreciate we all have different tastes so everyone to their own. The girls doing these shows also looked like they'd been drugged up - gross!

Nana and Cowboy - Much better. Space to sit and observe comings and goings without being hassled too much. A safe landing for your first time.

If you find a girl you want to spend some time with negotiate once you know they're reliable and that they light your fire. Otherwise - there's no real need to be quite honest. Make hay while the sun shines!

Most girls in the P2P scene aren't exactly what you'd call keepers after a few months/years working on their backs. Best to keep the transaction simple and don't delude yourself that its a relationship. The Nanna Hotel is old, run down and noisy. I think the Majestic Suites, if you can get a room, is a better choice.
