GH this got me to thinking about a question that I long wondered.. how much of the racial admixture in filippinas is due to Spanish genes?

I would like to go relax by the seaside, Marriot offers a tour in boat, but it's like 5000 pesos +, that seems high.

What would you guys recommand to get a nice a tour of Cebu and enjoy the sea side without getting ripped off.

You can consider the Richmond Plaza hotel in Cebu City. I stayed there last Autumn and it was fine. It cost me 1500 pesos a night if I remember rightly, including a poor excuse for a breakfast, and the room was quite big. It's a short stroll from the Mango avenue bars and also the Ayala Centre, so the location is perfect. 100% GF too.

I've heard good things about Richmond, but never stayed there. A few other popular places below...

Mango Park is a DUMP. Great location for mongering, but Eddie's is better value and nicer. Midtown is not much more expensive and SEVERAL steps up in quality.
