Thanks.[/QUOTE]I am sure that most hotels in Pattaya, let alone the entire country of Thailand, are basically GF, but always book the room as a double (2 people) first. I was very satisfied with the Furama Jomtien Beach. It is about USD $55 per night on Agoda, the way I booked it. There were no problems. The only potential downside is that though the girls are required to provide their I. D. (quite enough security that it would be generally difficult to get the girl to the elevators bank without facing two to four hotel employees) , they were spotty about the follow-through, as in when the girl picks up her I. D. To check out, the hotel did not always call the room to make sure everything was okay with the hotel guest (for example, if you had been drugged and robbed blind, there was only a 60-75% chance the girl would have been caught). I'm pretty cautious about keeping things in the hotel safe, etc, which elimates much of that risk, but it's worth pointing out. I think the breakfast buffet was decent, nice swimming pool, great balconies overlooking the ocean, etc. A good value, and from a well-regarded Asian chain of hotels.

If you haven't done your research, be warned that you are a good 25- to 30-minute bus ride from the Walking Street area. This can be a nuisance, slightly, as some gogo girls will want you to give them taxi fare back, etc. There are beer bars in Jomtien. While I did not try, I did see some girls I would regard as lookers from afar during the ride in / from. Smaller selection of girls there, to be sure. But Jomtien is quieter and has its appeal.

Looking to take the Bell bus from BKK to Pattaya. Question I had was, whether we can then leave Pattaya and go directly to the BKK airport?

Has anyone done this before?

Does the Bell bus leave from a specific Pattaya hotel? If so, we'd have to book to stay at that hotel.

Upon your website booking just state the hotel you are staying in, they will pick you up in a small van and drive you to the main bus station. Change mini-van to coach and there you go on your way to BKK.

Have to say they have a very smooth service, more or less journey will takes same as taxi do but for a merely 200thb.

Thanks.[/QUOTE]Just back from Jomtien. I stayed at the Jomtien Beach Penthouses (Jomtien Beach Road Soi 9) , which offers nice studios and 1 and 2 bedroom apartments. It is not a hotel (so you have to take care of arranging your own breakfast) but a "serviced apartment". It has a nice swimming pool and although it is mainly a "family" place, I did notice that some guests brought in their GF, some of which were clearly "working girls". As long as you keep it somewhat decent in the swimming pool, nobody will complain.

There is also a gym, if you want to work-out.

There is actually a funny story I can tell. I stayed there with my Thai girl friend (so no need to find working girls) and she noticed that one of the guests brought two GFs to the swimming pool. So far so good. But when next morning these GFs left the building, she saw that one of them was wearing a school uniform (the usual high school uniform: white shirt and dark skirt) , which indicated that she might be very (too?) young. Since you do not have to pass through reception to go to your apartment, it is easy to bring in anyone you like. Some may like that facility, others may rather have some more security. To each his own, I say.

Was in Pattaya a couple of day ago staying at the Sunbean hotel on sio 8 and pick up this gorgeous 19 year old at one of the bars on sio 7 but could not get her in. To be a guest at the Sunbeam you must be 20 and above even though it shows 18 year on paper work when you book. No negotiation of any kind could get her in. So find out before you book the age of your guest because I will never stay here again.

It's not breaking the law if she is over 18, right? I hope Dick gave them a piece of his mind.

And in the matter of age, much better to err on the "older" side than by mistake bringing in someone too young. We have all heard the stories about fake ID and even scams (in combination with the police) to get some money from the horny farang.

Assuming you have been in Thailand before then you will understand it's the typical Vans approximately 9 passengers Toyota Commuter very common. If you got lots of luggage it will be a problem. The buses are the typical buses you see running to and from Bangkok to other provinces except it is in better condition and comfort is good unless you are real talk. Pretty of luggage space in the bottom but not sure if there is a charge for over 2 pieces. They understand that airline standard pieces are two.

LBM[/QUOTE]Thanks LBM. I am aware of the Toyota Vans you mentioned and their make. I even booked them last time when I was in Phuket. I was more or less wondering on the make of Buses. Last time some other city (not Thailand) I was shown the brochure to indicate world class buses which even would have given First class of airlines a run for money. When I actually boarded the bus I was disgusted. It was nowhere near to specs or you can say so it was so filthy, rotten and stinky with seats broken that whole journey I had to sanitize myself. It is hence I asked if members here had first hand experience of the bus interior and comfort. I don't expect business class but yes am used to travel in Volvos and Scanias which are decent.
