My 1st trip to Bangkok was almost 2 years ago. I was pretty clueless, didn't know much, actualy didn't know anything. Thanks to all of you who contribute, I feel a lot more informed for my upcoming trip next week!!

On my 1st encounter, I went to Silom area I really don't remember all the streets, but I remember the "Sala Daeng" station. Anyway, I was out mongering, oh, what took me there was some information I had found online, not sure if it was from here, I doubt it. It was around 1.00 PM I was walking around, and didn't really see a whole lot, then after several turns and dead ends, I finally saw some potential. Again, don't remember the street, but this street did have clubs with neon lights. I then suddenly encountered this woman running towards me with a picture with a bunch of girls in a Jaccuzi. I ignored her, kept walking, encountered more women like that. Actualy all those pictures looked alike. Just wanted to check what this was all about, Oh, by this time, some pimp has started to follow me too. This guy begins to represent one of the mamasans. He spoke a little English, and even offered to show medical records of the providers. Couldn't stop laughing to myself about that. Anyway, I was taken up stairs to one of these clubs, fishbowl type, I was not impressed with the talent, went to a couple more and picked one up. The pimp was still with me. He was negotiating the price. He even offered some sought of a "happy hour" deal. I guess because it was like 2.00 PM I don't know. From What I remember ,I ended up paying BHT 2,000.00 to Mamasan about BHT 400.00 to Mr. pimp ( he was not too thrilled, I actualy didn't have more than that, I had to save what I had to tip the Gal.) and around BHT 1,000.00 for tip. I was actualy going to give her less, but then I negotiated with her to take some pictures. ( I'll try to locate them and post ) that's how it came to 1000.00 I took her out to my hotel for 2 hours. Her phone rang right at 2 hours. Service was very poor. She was very cute though. After one pop, she prety much hung out and watched TV.

So Here's what I'd like to know from those regulars out there. Silom is away from action around Nana, is that area ( the area I went to ) an older mongering area or is it just another location? Also, I'm not sure how I did with the payments. I think I over payed, but this gal was pretty cute.

To each his own. But, most P4P girls are fucking hags, either in looks and/or disposition, as far as I'm concerned. And don't kid yourself. They can cost you just as much money, if not more, as any other Thai women, if you let them. You're still a newbie with a couple of trips under your belt. You really don't know anything about Thai women.

As far as looks are concerned, spend some time around Siam Square where all the hot students hang out to see truly beautiful Thai women...or better yet, come with me to school one day (LOL).

My personal mistake may have been in getting a regular GF instead of playing the field which is what I did for a long time. But, I played it with girls like my GF, not P4P and had a great time with really beautiful women, that didn't cost me much.

I'm not sure why I find it easy, even at 54 to get young TGs. There are certainly guys richer than me. So, I don't think it's totally about money, although I'm not discounting that, as part of it. I think most of us mongers here, whether newbie’s like me or not, especially us older guys not living in LOS like you, simply do not have the time or the opportunities to pursue beautiful young college students and all the other choice “regular” girls which abound there. You have it made in that regard, no doubt about it. We are forced to hunt down the beautiful young hookers, which do exist also, as I was able to find several on only one memorable visit. I’m now dedicated to finding a lot more of them next month when I visit again. It’s a great job and I’m happy to be able to do it.

The point, as you say, is “not being tied down,” which you do recognize is valuable. I'm beginning to think that's there's something to be said for not having a GF. Afterall, us hunter/gatherers only end up with one women in the West because it's so damn hard to get one.
