Where could I go with a girl if I don’t want to return to my hotel? I’m planning to pick up a Carretera Masaya girl but I can’t return to my hotel because I’m on a business trip with other people.

It is maybe possible that she'll know. As possible as say, the sun rising in the morning.
Sergio the "sergionictaxi" driver has moved to Honduras. Not a huge loss for most of you since mont of you cannot utter two words of Spanish anyway.
Luis aka El Pelon will take up the slack and speaks English, so that is a plus for well, all of you.
He can be reached at luisnicataxi which is also at Yahoo dot com and you can simply write in English with arrival details, hotel name, number of days and what you want to do, also hours daily you will need service since usual service is predicated on around 12 hours a day.
Gas and insurance has gone up - you probably will pay more than Sergio's rates (the ones for me that is).
Still a rental car with all the (mandatory ) insurance is at least US$300 -$350 a week plus remember - no street names or numbers, maniac drivers and if you injure someone you are held in custody (jail) until details are settled - this affects the DRIVER not the car - so you can add $15-20 a day to rent a driver with the car. All in all, hire a taxista (who knows where the girlies are)
I have read today on a website looking for ESL teachers that Nicaraguans earn 50 dollars per month average but that an expat needs at least 400 dollars per month to live in Nicaragua.
The prices quoted were : 200 to 300 dollars per month for a furnished room , OR 220 to 300 dollars per month in a Nicaraguan family homestay with 3 meals a day.
How valid are those figures ?
If they are valid , how does an expat get access to Nicaraguan homestay families providing this service ?
I know a girl who pays C$750 a month (US$42) for her room. She has two kids as well in the room. She wants to move to a new room for C$1200 (or C$1000 maybe, I can't recall) which would have a private bathroom.
There would be lots for US$300 a month. I am paying her rent for this little room and would do so if she could get the better one, right now it is not vacant. If I was willing to pay US$300 she'd live like royalty. I think you can rent a small house for that.
The point is though, it is unlikely an expat would go there to live only on what they could earn say as an ESL teacher, without other income like something from retirement.
You get access to homestay by paying a Spanish school for lessons and they provide homestay as part of the experience. I haven't heard of homestay for expats teaching ESL. You are not likely to get much in the way of a room, much food, any privacy or hot water or air conditioning if you think you would.
Will be in Managua just one night 7/28, will not have much time, where to go?
HOLLYWOOD
VALE TODO
LUNA Y SOL
CUETO CLUB
POLANCO
Any comments , it will be my firt time in Managua, so if anyone can help me, would be great.
HOLLYWOOD -ripoff gringo idiot joint. BIGGEST and stupidest money waster in Central America (tied with Elite, Solid Gold, etc.)
VALE TODO -ripoff gringo idiot joint
LUNA Y SOL -dump with ugly girls and about 45 Celsius inside lately
CUETO CLUB -ripoff gringo idiot joint
POLANCO -closest thing to "From Dusk Till Dawn" in the city. Dangerous barrio, dangerous club, dangerous parking lot, dangerous patrons.
I take it you havent bothered to read my rather voluminous and detailed posts with answers to where to go (and not go). Please bother.
If you insist on strip joints (why would you) then DON'T buy $10 girl drinks (give the girl $2 instead and she makes $0.50 more and you save $8) and get their numbers for daytime fun. If you cannot speak fluent Spanish don't bother with any of these places, read my posts. Avoid Hollywood and its clones ALWAYS.
Christ, people are lazy here.
Grand Pollo,
thanks for the dollar details on renting a furnished room for a month with the usual North American facilities ( 1 or 2 air fans, individual bathroom, good mattress, window large enough to let in the sun , telephone service,) .
I was quoted the previously mentioned prices from a website advertising for ESL teaching positions in Granada; no , I do not plan to go and teach ESL in Granada.
I visited Polanco once with a Managua taxi driver as a companion and the parking lot was watched by 2 guards who expected a tip which my taxi driver dutifully paid. Inside the club on the ground floor, there were some 6 or 7 girls, with some coming from the upstairs I was advised by my driver to not venture.
So, I stayed on the ground floor of Polanco, enjoyed a cheap meal with a few beers but did not take offers from the girls there , all willing to go to your hotel room for the right price ( about 340 Cordobas and return taxi fare for 2 hours).
I stayed about 2 hours watching the scene with my taxi driver companion and left; never felt the danger even though I could sense my taxi driver was careful .
Get to the point , not long reports with nothing , if Zero for Five give me your own five.

Look, I am being staight with you - I assume you can read and use the internet. What you need to do is read. You are already in the Managua forum, have you even bothered to read previous posts? Evidently not as the most thorough and helpful posts, by me, for this city are in this forum.
Where did you get the list of pointless destinations?

Aqui Polanco (the proper name) has freelancers on the bottom floor and strippers on the top floor. You can take a stripper to the auto hotel across the parking lot (Polanco owns it) for C$500. you can come when they open and take a girl for US$100 until they close, 6 a.m. the next day. That freelance price assuming you give them no more than 30-40 for the taxi when you are done is fair. I found it too loud, too dark and too creepy to stay.
A general note is if they use a metal detector at all it is more dangerous than say a MP. If they use it on Nicos and gringos it is very dangerous. Polanco will wand everyone as it gets later. It is also a less than great barrio as well.
How dangerous it is depends on what time you were there - to about 10 p.m. is it OK. Approaching 2 a.m. it is peligroso.
Club Venus across the street is C$500 for one of the strippers in a room in the club, though they are larger girls who cannot dance. It is certainly safer and not as loud. On other than a weekend you practically are the only client.
Generally speaking clubs are a waste of time, other than to chat up girls and get cell numbers - I have pulled girls out of Vale Todo in Msr. Lezcano and Cueto Club a couple times. Note all nightclubs are strip joints. Dance joints are always called discos.
Note - Polanco himself was renowned in Managua and about 2-3 months ago was found beaten, shot and lit on fire north of the city. Deader than a smelt.

I most come to the defense of a friend.
He is not the "big" chicken, he is the "great" chicken!
In Spanish, if he were a "big" chicken his handle would be - pollo grande! When Grand or Grande is placed before the noun as in this case it means great. He is the - Great Chicken! ;)
(we will now return to our regularly scheduled programming) :)
Pollo is male chicken = cock ? Use your collective noggins.
However Ford is correct on this use of a Spanish adjective. A great many have positional difference. Pobre is another - before is "poor" as in poor guy, poor sap, after is "poor" as in not rich. So poor John who is also poor would be pobre Juan pobre.
So I should be Gran Pollo Grande. (Note technically Grande prior to a masculine noun is gran not grande - too late to change now).
Ford, this all follows yet another example of someone who won't read, then ask clarifying questions which, if they are not too stupid ( e.g. already answered) I would tend to reply to.
How the guy got that list of hopeless causes beats me, maybe some other similar site, as they are the clippiest of clip joints/toughest of tough joints/deadest of dead MP joints one could summarize missing only Elite and Solid Gold to round out the list. Oh, and Bellamary's and Gloria on the MP side with their absurd and/or gringo pricing or both.
as usual I met up with Luis and hit the casino till dark and went to a a place he didnt frequent to much. There was good action for a Sunday. I got my fair share and we left.
Ate dinner and picked up a Masaya chick. 300 cords for the night. I kept he for a couple hours and threw her out. I guess I wasnt into her.
I prefer young girls sweet bodies without kids. It just is my deal so I lost interest.
I did buy some land and plan to build a house near the beach so I guess I will have another shot at it.
Luis is the man.
Thanks Grand Pollo
