I was just two weeks in Savador and Litoral Norte:

Salvador - I had the impression that Salvador is dead. Very little tourists, empty hotels, empty or closed restaurants.
I tried three boites: Tche Clube, Free Night and Casquinha de Siri.
Tche Clube: 10 hard-core pros, 90 % dogs - no joy
Free Night: same as above
Casquinha: approx. 50 girls, half hard-core pros, other half semi-pros. Good selection. Price range from 200 - 300 reais (asked) Paid 150 reais for TLN with a very nice semi-pro which only wanted to make a little bit of money on the side.

Next day I went to Aero-clube in the late afternoon. At around 4 pm girls came flocking in, by 6 pm I got hooked up with a girl from Diamantinia - a very nice Mulata. I invited here for dinner, we spent the night toether. Excellent service and very very GFE! I had plans to go up to a Golf Resort at Litoral Norte and I asked her if the wants to join me for the next couple of days. She agreed as she never was at a place like this. Anna was not used to this luxury and it was a very pleasant experience for her.
I played golf in the morning and in the afternoon ......

It was a very relaxing holiday for me before I had o get back to busines. For the time the girl was with me at the resort, I did not pay here anything except some small presents. Sorry - no pictures as per request of Anna.

Could you post the prices for the golf? Were there decent courses? I tried playing at Iguazu, but was not impressed with the quality of the course. In Rio, they have two very nice private courses, but it is extremely hard to get on them.

Locations:

Monday - Casquinha with a lot of girls prices about 150-300(absolute crazy)
Tuesday - Pelourinho Cantina da Lua
Wednesday - Aeroclube near the Tropial Bar a lot of girls
Sunday - Tropicana same as Casquinha
Nightclub EROS 30 entry + 30 way-out + money for the girl

The prices are really crazy for this locations.

My advice buy the journal A TARDE and look there for girls.

A lot of girls up to 100 Reais for 2 hours are in there.

Result: A lot of girls but many discussion about the high price!

Next time I go to Fortalezza.

I stayed at the Costa da Sauipe Resort - the Sofitel Hotel. As it was still low season, they offered me a special package for 330 Reais / day - apartment, breakfast and green-fee.
The course was nicely done, but difficult to play due to the prevailing winds for three days in a row when you had to take long shots. During the entire days I met there only 8 - 10 other golfers. Like I said - it was low season.

My girl preferd to stay at the pool during the time I was golfing.

You mentioned the two golf-clubs in Rio. I was several times playing there but the whole clubs are only for the real real rich ones which stink of money. If you do not have 100 millions in the bank, they do not consider you a human being and a golfer. Luckily I have the best opportunities to golf at the Algarve. This is golfer´s paradise.

I recently (mid november 2005) visited the club "Special Relax" in Salvador. It's definitely hard to find, so I had to ask a local who showed me the entrance. The actual rate was 160R$ for one hour (probably the local got a 10R$ commission for bringing me in). Drinks are payable apart. There were some 12 girls available, not too pretty at all. I chose a parda (= pale morena) who was very skilled, sweet and willing to meet you in your appartment after or before her working hours. I had a very nice session with her, rooms with shower are very comfortable and the girls are not pushing at all. They just wait for your sign before they come to you. The indoor swimming pool did not look too clean. I can recommend the place to visit in the afternoon when you don't feel like sitting on the beach and watch Brazils unbeaten "naturaleza".

Since this subject came up, the Gavea Country Club in RJ is definitely worth a shot. The price is expensive by local standards at around 300R plus the caddie tip, but I've paid more than that to play at a nice resort. The course is a little short, but tricky on certain holes. Beautiful views of the rainforest and the ocean.

It's not hard to get on if you know what to do. Either pay at the club in advance and receive a voucher for the tee time, or go through a hotel who has an agreement with the golf course. The Hotel Intercontinental right next to the club will make a tee time for you and sell you the voucher. Tell them you that you were formerly a guest at the hotel, if you don't currently stay there, and the lady who is sort of the head concierge will take care of you.

I've played there enough over the years so the caddies actually remember me. Last time, I even got locker key so I could store my clubs in between rounds. They actually could not have been nicer. Just don't count on a fully stocked pro shop with balls and gloves, etc.

I read some report and my question is : Where are the best beaches and safe night life I can found in Brazil? Of couse where also can find a lot of good beautiful girls white or black with nice attitude. I am a Italian guy.

I am going to spend two weeks on there but I need name of places.

Looking for a place ( 2 bedroom apartment) to stay in Salavador where all the action is, ( clubs, bars, mongering, the whole works) any suggestions? March 4 2006 to March 18 2006. ALso I'm studying Pimsleaur ll ( finished Pimsleaur l already) but would need suggestions where to find a guide that speaks English. Really looking for regular girls, but no shame in my game if I have to purchase some twat. :-)

Happy new year to all! I'm pretty much a newbie to this sight but I've reported what I know and hope it has been benificial to people.
As I posted in my title I will be in salvador from jan 18-feb 2 .I have a tour itinerary for ten days that I will follow and another 5 days after free.During the tour days I will also have 1/2 days free.I'm a photographer and am intrested in the brazilian african culture.
With all that said and done I would like to thank those who have posted in this forum from what I've read I can figure it out although I have a few questions.

rua direita do santo antonio,24 salvador &
blue tree tower
rua monte conselho 505 rio vermelho salvador

Has anyone heard of these hotels? Girl friendly or not?...it came with the tour!

2. We all know about aids in brazil and besides common sense does anyone care to comment why it is so out of control...to eat pussy or not to eat?

3. MOST important question can I private email someone to talk about a "smoking" related question about brazil in general and more specifically in salvador.

If anyone will be there for those dates please let me know.
