Its true that the relationship thing takes things to another level, and that usually means bareback sex.
I had started such a relationship and was thoroughly enjoying the bareback sex, - when the pregnancy of a mutual acquaintance of ours woke me from my sex-induced trance.

Chicas rarely take the precaution of contraceptives (pills) so the bareback sex makes pregnancy a REAL possibility. Like Russian roulette, the odds are the longer you play, sooner or later,...bang!

So, lacking the pill, I try to make sure the novia is not in a fertile period (takes a little research but the period to avoid bareback is between 9 and 16 days after the last period; ovulation is typically on/about day 14), and if not, I put on the "jacket", because I've got just enough conscience not to abandon a girl carrying my child. And I don't need that responsibility.

Jacquelin, the chica. Gone!.--Wasn't performing up to standards and was let go. Apparently she didn't like us old guys

Also, Javier is gone as well. Another dispute with the owner. That makes 3 changes of managers in the last 6 months. Martha is running the show during the day and Paco is working nights. Paco is now training another manager. Odds are 5/1 that he will last less than 4 months.

The getting cut option is worth considering but aren't there some decent do it and forget it birth control choices for females these days? Implants, quarterly injections, that sort of thing that a chica would not have to be very responsible to use? Any experience with what's available, especially in the DR?

I can't speak with any authority as to what is available, but I presume that in the large cities, just about anything is.
What I would REALLY like to hear about is the availability of "Plan B" as it is called in the States. (The "morning after" pill).

The real question for such things in the DR is the COST to the average woman.
(My novia doesn't like the pill, because she claims it makes her gain weight).

I went to the pharmacy and also got online to do some research but did not come up with any conclusive results. Maybe it's called something else down there.

To make a long story short ,the pills I was paying for were for nausea and not pregnancy. Of course, shortly before I'm leaving she's claiming pregnancy and wants mucho dinero. Just keep this in mind fellas. I knew this girl for years and still she tried to pull this stunt on me. I knew it was a scam because one of her friends tipped me off when I split from my hotel half a day early. Supposedly her family showed up there looking for me but I was long gone.

It was abit of a scary experience but it goes to show you always have to keep your guard up.

Takes a few minutes and is relatively painless. Works for three years and has the added advantage of pretty much stopping the menstruation during that time. The cost comes out to less than that of the pill during three years. If they have it available in Peru, I´m sure it can be found in the family planning clinics in the DR. Having said that, the morning after pill is available in all pharmacies here without a prescription...but is only about 85% effective and shouldn´t be used more than once a month or so. Best just for emergencies.

Of all the people gone, losing Raquel bothers me most. She was a sweetheart.

I believe the morning after pill is available on the north coast. I had an unwise, unprotected, but extremely pleasurable time with a chica desperate to be my novia. Later (after the presidentes y brugal wore off) I told her we need to get a morning after bill. After I explained what it was she hit me with the "no puedo, soy católica". So I managed to find a "good" catholic girl that doesn't believe in birth control, but will fuck me sin condon after knowing me 3 days. She did confirm that the pill is available.

It was definitely a bad move on my part. I've spent the past 3 weeks paranoid that I caught something and that I might have a baby on the way. Luckily, the STD and HIV tests came back clean. Good to know.
"Plan B" is also known by the following names:
Escapelle, Levonelle, NorLevo, Postinor-2, and 72-HOURS
It would be good to know if any of these are available in the DR and what the cost is.
If anyone down there can provide this, this would be great.
